I remember this game well. I found it to be pretty playable. A classic platformer. Here in the UK we had Manic Miner which was loosely based on this game.
Great review, a must have for anyones Coleco collection especially if you are into platform games! I seen the game a few times on eBay but my memory had lost the details.
@Fawltykog Well, I don't own Bounty Bob. I could download it, but I only like to do videos about games I physically own. Which I guess is kind of silly, but, yeah. I really should get that one though!
This game is way harder on the ColecoVision compared to the Atari version. You have to do everything perfectly with only a second or so to spare on almost every screen. Back in the day I did I get though all 11 levels but it was hell.
Kinda like an early City Connection (Arcade, NES)

Do you typically play these Colecovision games with the Colecovision controller or something like the 2600 or Genesis controller?

Holy Crap!
I never got through Level 4 on this and now i've got to try completing the screens the way you play them!
Thanks!

How can anyone do a video review of Miner 2049er and -NOT- show what happens when you touch a mutant??
carm3d 7 months ago
@carm3d Oh it's easy, you just don't put any clips of it happening in the video. Ba-dum-bum. I'll be here all week, folks.
OK, I know people like that death animation, but, I'm sure I'll put it in the video for the Atari 8-bit version. If or when I get to it. :)

Is 'Bounty Bob Strikes Back' on your reviewing agenda?

That's some classy box art. The question in this picture is: Who had more of the XXX liquor - Bounty Bob or his horse.? ^^
GunshipHero 7 months ago
@GunshipHero lol Is that a horse or a donkey? A mule? Are donkeys just really really drunk horses?

Cool looking game. I'll have to pick this up someday.

Very cool! I found this game a while back in a box of Atari 8-bit games I forgot I had. Don't remember ever playing it, but it looks like fun!
