@RogueSith501 Quick answer? Murder most foul ;) Find somewhere secluded and away from guards to build a robber fortress or similar, then beat the crap out of someone as they walk past. XP for that. Rob them; XP for that. Break their bones; XP for that. Then, finish them off. More XP for that. Depending on the person, you can easily look at 300-400XP per murder. On the other hand, a legal way is to stay in your business and give bonuses every hour to employees. Expensive but v, v effective.
@smunn02 sad thing is if a rival dynasties avatar is walking past or they have a fellow rogue following you your pretty much screwed if they persecute or you dont have the means to shut em
vagabonds actually make some cool stuff. level 1 makes something called sleeping spindles. you use it on a candidate before an election. they will fall asleep and annoy the voters. it would be good to use on a competitor or an enemy to get yourself elected or just keep someone else out of power. they are easy to make, and sell for a lot(though demand is low i think), but you might consider not selling them because who knows who will use them against who. idk what the higher lvl vagabonds make
@Elrohof 1) No idea, but changing the time mode to 1 year per turn drastically increases the length you can play with one character. 2) Updates are automatic on steam. 3) PotES and renaissance are both standalone games, I believe. Renaissance definitely is. They're both very good, but I tend to play Renaissance more. 4) You can buy them all if you want, but you should probably stick to one - Renaissance or Pirates. Definitely don't buy the Venice expansion. Crashes patched...mostly, yes.
@smunn02 I tried pirate download The Guild 2 just to try it out (i tend to buy games just to realize i hate them after about 2 hours) but i couldnt patch the game because its hard to find cracks for the patches, and when i did, the patches didnt find my directory.
Unpatched it could crash about 30 seconds of gameplay.
But ive watched most videos i can now, and i rly wanna buy.
Which one of the guild 2 do u recommend?
Renaissance or Pirates? i might buy both just for ze hell of it.
@Elrohof I'd recommend buying both, but mostly because pirating imho is abhorrent; especially with games like The Guild who's creative team are going bankrupt and GF is having to try and stay afloat. But if you absolutely only have to have one, it may as well be Renaissance.
@smunn02 Im not the greatest fan of Pirated wares. I only pirate for trying a game and then buy it if i really like it.
I set myself on a trial when it comes to downloaded stuff: I get X amount of time for testing the game, then i get rid of it and asks myself if i want it or not.
The time i give a game is mostly 2 days, then i delete it.
Don't worry, i will BUY Renaissance.
As ive watched The Guild 2 vids i know its worth it, though buggy, but i'll like the game ;)
@shoshenkis he isnt depressed, he is just english! LOL. and allthough the two are almost considered synonomous is some parts of the world, they really arent. Ill bet we can excite good old mr smunn if talk about cucumber sandwhiches, tea, and the queen, ey?. =P @smunn02 MUCH thanks for the videos...there is such a lack of info out about this great game, you have done us all a great service. now how do i pack all of my people onto a ship so i can sail away to a new continent? Jus kiddin =P
"the reason i built it here is because theres a nice woodcutters hut right next door, which is useful, so what we're gonna do-before we burgle it" Wait what was that last part!? hahahaha
@mtjaxter I generally find that those from the America's tend to pronounce it Ren-uh-sonse; while the Europeans go with the Frenchie pronunciation. Obviously not everyone does, but that's just what I've seen with people I've met :)
Well Im really good with rouge but in some time my mercenary building maxed out the mercenary's obey orders for 20mins ( in guild time) then wonder off and just stand there im are my main source of money and cause alot of money and time so rouge for me is quite annoying
Whats the easiest way to level up a Rogue?! This is my biggest problem with the class, any help would be appreciated :/

What game mode turns death of old age off?
Or option.
And if i buy the game from steam, where can i find the updates? will they come automatically?
Are the Pirates of European blah and Renaissance expansions? Or can i simply buy just one of them and play?
Do u think i should buy all? which shouldnt i buy?
Please reply as it would mean much to know.
Crashes are removed when patching, right?

@Elrohof Oh yes, buggy sums up pretty much every Guild 2 game/expansion, but still pretty much my favourite game of all time.

@smunn02 I can see why. I mean, the game looks really good and seems to have great gameplay.
