AMD has always kicked ass on the basis that their CPU actully do what they say, where as intel just use hyperthreading which was good back in the day but 8 cores? seriously i'm a programer and to even write an app for 2 cores is hard enough.

they have been just as good most of the time

not all the time

but for instance a 9950 beats the 2.93ghz i7 at some points not all but a decent amount to say amd owns

+ i have a 9950 wich is at 3.2ghz and i have proof! if u go to channle unlike intel dick heads do they lie about thier clocks

and the i7 2.93ghz vs my3.2ghz 9950 the one i have would own it trust me

the Phenom 2 got its but kicked by the 920 in gaming. and in some cases couldn't keep up with the Core 2 Quads. Thats what I've seen so far.

Static, don't be ridiculous, the i7 would cream the 9950. MY Phenom II has a chance, however, I will have yo overclock to keep up with a stock i7. The thing is though, my Phenom II a.k.a. "Dragon" is like $75 cheaper than an i7 and the AMD/ATI combo totally owns.
