Juice from a store means NOTHING. Compared to making it yourself you can't compare. It's not only the ingredients in the store bought juice but something that almost no one knows about and few even talk about, the Enzymes and Phytonutrients that you get from making it yourself, which are almost totally killed during pasteurization, as are most of the nutrients too. They also die off within hours starting almost immediately after juicing. What you buy in the store is long ago a "DEAD Drink"
Is there an epidemic of people not knowing what JUICE is??? WHO is buying something called a cocktail, or juice blend and thinking it's actually juice? Tropicana and a few other companies that dabble in purees do have high juice content (the healthy kind). I hate when these infomercials show these 'juices' from the store - THEY'RE NOT EVEN IN THE SAME GROCERY AISLE AS ACTUAL JUICE!!
You can easily find 100% juice in grocery stores; only "juice cocktail" is filled with sugar and only has 15% juice. Not only that but one of the most nutritious constituents of fruits and vegetables is the fiber and most of that is contained in the solid pieces that these machines discard. You would have people believe that drinking the juice produced by this machine is equivalent to eating the fruits and vegetables which were used to create it, which is absolutely false. Shame on you.
can you really ? its usually standardized and controlled as national food safety agencies require by adding freezing, sterilization or Pasteurization. thus, killin more vitamine's and good enzymes. juicing yourself helps also you to control your pesticide intake by buying from your trusted greengrocer and/or washin the fruits yrself. fiber you can eat, scoop a little back in the glass or use it in cake, use in your garden as compost, or as dry BBQ bricks.
I was wondering about the fibers, too... What if you get fibers from other foods? I guess you could make a soup using what does not end up in the juice
@t1ngley What you fail to realize is that store bought juice is pasteurized. All the enzymes and nutrients are dead or greatly diminished when you heat the juice. Fresh juice is a great way to get in extra servings of fruit and vegetables.
Amercan women are so false and stupid!
