@eleyeahthatsme that was actually what i was looking for in this video. you can right click the matrix and copy device to tracks but then it will be playing out loud all the time so i dont really know

the problem that i have all the time with the matrix is, once i copy to track and then turn the matrix off the pattern on the track stops playing but you can see the little green meter to the left workin ive tried every thing , Im trying to play multiple patterns but it only plays pattern one over all the rest that were copied to trck please help this is driveing me crazy....

Btw, I noticed that if you put in some notes into, for example, octave 3 (As you did), and then click "Alter Pattern", the notes become scrambled IN that same octave.

Whereas if you click "Randomize Pattern", the notes would jump into others octaves.

Just in case someone didn't notice.

one question - how does one "tie" the note gates together? i tried to click on it and drag it towards the other but no dice...

either enable the tie button (under the octave toggle- bottom left) or hold shift when adding gates 5:20 you'll notice the tied gates will be wider

Im not really a Beginner to reasons or song production, but i have never used the matrix partern tool though, this tutorial helped me alot!
