You can change battery type/amp when it's not charging (before hooking up, or hit charge to toggle charging).
I'm surprised it did anything; I thought it won't start any charge cycle if it is under voltage.
BatteryMINDer makes a 12v unit. I have a 24v BM for matched batt sets in my electric lawnmower and electric-assist bicycle. I bought a 12v Battery Tender + at a garage sale for $5. No desulfation, but will not buy a 12v BatteryMinder until the Tender dies. :-)
I wonder what the results would have been without the epsom salt.

@fratermus I have had success with some lead acid batteries and some NiCad batteries. I will be posting some more video's soon.
