SOunds good mate! Im thinking of getting one of these. Have you had any problems with it? Coming from a Magna where i can find parts at every single wrecker very cheap, how hard is it to find replacement parts? are they expensive? and can mechanics work on them easily being imports?
"fuel pump...pod filter...fuck all else" ha ha blokes a legend, gotta love the sound of a hi-revving 8, these things absolutely sing with a supercharger and the rev limiter changed. As for everyone else, who gives a fuck about stock power, pour dollars into anything and you'll make it fast...
I truly think the 1uz and the 1jz/2jz is some of the best motors ever made. My 1jz gets a track thrashing running about 13psi on stock turbo and no problems. And my 1uz supercharged 5.5psi for about 2 years and no issues :)
bridgestone RE11 + twin fujitsubo or HKS silent hi power exhausts would be cool, im saving for a soarer V8 thats what i'd put on first before spending big bucks on a supercharger lol
well the v8s come with more power 185 for the 1jz and 195 for the 1uz anyway depends on the driver really now i have a supra 1jz manual so race me in that insted
Oh yeah thats a good reason then. Yeah, best to use 98 in these, in japan they would have been feed decent 100 octane+ gas, sad some people put 91 one in them! Do you guys get 100 octane gas from Shell in Australia?

actually the 1JZGTE is more powerful and produces more torque.
210kW vs 191kW for the 1uz
1uz is still a bloody fine engine though, given its smooth torque curve and reliability!

@jameslinton50 wow 195 in the soarer? the sc400 has 280 stock. that seams unlikely there would be any difference in performance

Just curious, why did you upgrade the fuel pump? The factory ones are good for up to around 200rwkw before you will start getting fuel issues.
