I saw them in Belfast yesterday. That was one of the best gigs at the Spring and Airbrake and a lot of cool bands played there. Lovely crowd and support band too.

They met in Northwich, which is where Tim is from (although he was born in Salford), but 2 of them are originally from the Midlands.

you cant compare metal with rock and roll son. In my opinion the Charlatans are the only band from the last towo decades that can compete with the classic rock and roll, i.e. Beatles, stones etc... and I'm from the U.S.!

Although Iron maiden and judas priest do kick ass.

Meant to be played loud. Yes, this album is saturated in New Orderness..but it is still The Charlatans...and they sure sound like they are having fun with it. They were never one to be afraid to wear their influences on their sleeve so proudly.

Great tune again! Shame the production has let them down AGAIN. The hammond organ is way too quiet in the mix and the bass is very muted.
