  • interesting

  • im getting 64 beats per min :) which is normal right?

  • @Convict147 I think so, because I have been told between 60-100 is normal.

  • @Convict147 : yes depending on age, weight .

  • @Convict147 Yeah should be, depends on how fit you are: the fitter you are, the more efficinetly your heart can pump oxygenated blood around your body, which means that your heart will beat slower. It also depends on your metabolism. Standard resting heartrate is around about 30-90 bpm so you're fine :)

  • @Theaterfreak "Standard" resting heart rate is NOT 30-90. You should not be dispensing advice, friend

  • Many people call it arrhythmia, but really its dysrhythmia. The prefix ar in arrhythmia means no, or no rhythmn. The prefix dys in dysrhythmia means bad, or bad rhythmn.

  • heart beating too fast? smack a joint

heart beating too slow? rip a line

  • @papercut272 weed makes your heart beat much faster actually man

  • Do metals help conductivity in the heart ? electrolites such as gatoraid ?

  • can anyone tell me somthing .... can a virus like streptococs make a heart beat irregular ??? because i am 17 an i had strepto ... and my ekg showed irregular beating :( after it went away it was fine and now i got the f****** streptos again ....

  • I'm in one right now! FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Mine is right at 60. Giggity giggity goo!

  • What if at relax state my heart beats are 100-130, but mostly around 120?

  • @jaoenjdfsdf you kiding me?????you MUST go to doctor right now, ehat you still waiting for????its dangerous, everything beyond 99 heart beats is tachicardia........

  • No i'm not kidding ! and i did go to a doctor, since while i was at the gym it reached 204 and the people there got all panicked ! and yeah i have tachycardia and probably breathing arrhythmia or smth. :I and I'm 16...

  • @jaoenjdfsdf my GOD!!!!204.......ooooo i cant believe that.....well if its not from some disies, thats probably from some emotional problems...stress and that stuffs....

  • @jaoenjdfsdf bro thank God you are just 16,you are wery young,so your heart is in great shape, you can fix that.....i hope you are better now;))))God bless you...

  • ouhhh my god... this is very impresionant i loved

  • wow....NO HELP!!! what-so-ever!

  • cardiac first sound, the "LUBB" is generated by the ventricular sistole and closure of mitral and tricuspid valves. So the animation is not very well adjusted to the sound.....

    Im a PhD

  • Do yourself a favor and avoid John Hopkins cardiology: Google "Adventures in Cardiology"

  • my dads side of the family is know for heart problems, i have a fast heart beat but on the limit if being dangerous and seen the doctor many times and they dont seem to worry

  • what's your hearth beat when you're in a relax state?

  • 85-90 bpm

  • if you're under 20, it's ok. trust me. it's something normal for some teenagers to have tachycardia. it will disappear after a certain age :P and if you live in a stressful environment, the heartbeat will of course be higher then "normal"

  • i have hcm and a very irregular heartbeat....infact it sound like a bag of shit to be honest.

  • i just had one i am young i went to the docter and i had an ekg done before and they said i was fine sooo any adivce should i go see my doctor again?

  • Yes, go see a doctor to make sure everything checks out okay and make sure you get blood work done.

  • I was Dx with SVT in Sept. 2008 had an ablation performed in April of 2009. I was recently at my primary md this wk and I have to wear a Holter Montitor again. He believes that I am poss experiencing cardiogenic shock from the Ablation. See my ablation was not the same as most mine was almost 12hr and the max of rad. allowed by the CDC. My pathways(2) where on the L side and on the outside of the sack. The doc said he burnt my heart any where from 14-20x. I am a rare case. It did change my life!

  • (that was a response to bladecries' question)

  • sound of heart rhythm dose not match with heart movement. first sound s1 should be heard with ventricular contraction. it accompanies with mitral valve closing snap sound. s2 will be heard with end systolic, aortic valve closure. but video shows you graphics with sound wrongly. need some synchronization

  • is it common with this to get pains in ur heart?

brief pains though, that last for about 10 seconds, im taking steroids, but my friend is doing exactly what im doing, and does not have anything like what im getting as appose to side affects n all, i keep getting random fast paced beats, and pains, do steroids possibly trigger this, because it seems like there telling me something isnt right, i wonna know if its this, or what im taking, wich is just stanazol at the moment

    anyone?

    please.

  • when i breath,heart beat fast,when i exhale,heart beat slower,did i....get....sickness or wtf is it..,can someone tell me please

  • What you have is actually a normal physiological response to breathing in and breathing out. It's called Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia, and it's nothing to be concerned about. Basically what happens is, when you breathe out- there's a special nerve that tells your heart to slow down a bit. When you breathe in- that signal is removed and your heart is allowed to beat a little faster. However- if you ever experience chest pain or dizziness with this- you should see a doctor immediately.

  • Cut the salt, cut the processed foods, cut the fat, smoking etc...The best thing I did was cut out almost all salt from my diet. Unless it's in there already, but I cook almost everything I eat, so it cuts salt intake WAY down!

  • i suffer from high blood pressure and it's really making me worry, i started taking sterolyn about a month ago and so far i am seeing good results from it.

  • some times my heart beat's like a fucked clock

  • Oh thats just great near the end......so in some cases you could DIE!....NICE.

  • I like how they end on..."in some cases it can be fatal". EVERYBODY PANIC!

  • lol i know huh jeeez.

  • @Atrix3349

Ventricles are the pumping stations. When the heart beats so fast, known as tachycardia(100 beats or more per minute), the ventricles are under pressure and it leads to ventricle fibrillation which in turn leads to massive heart attack or stroke. That's why the video shows the heart stopping at the end ! Its medical emergency as the ventricles stop pumping, the blood supply to the brain & other vital organs are cut off.

  • you should drink tea every day, its really good against heart disease and problems, moderate exercise, no fatty foods, and breathing exercise along with tea...you will feel good..

May god bless you, hope you get better everyone who has this.

  • god bless u too. as of lately, i've been having pain on my right lung area, i'm wondering if there is an organ under my right lung. can u help me?

  • i have this my doc said im going back and forth to the hospital

  • is looked like a nise and 2 eyes-srry but i couldnt resist saying it

  • I had an arrhythmia called AV nodal reentrant tachycardia.

Last Thursday I had a catheter ablation to burn off the additional AV node. The procedure was a piece of cake, although it sounds scary and invasive. I only wish I had done it sooner. I had it done at St. Francis Hospital in NY by Dr. David Hoch.

  • Animation of electrical conduction clear & useful info. Ilustration of 'slow' & 'fast' added nothing to my internal dictionary.

  • youtube is the very last place in the world one should seek medical advice

  • Or any advice depending on who puts it there.

  • lol

  • lmaooooo.

  • when i move quikly i can feel sumting on my chest. it feels like a pulled muscle. i also have like a stabbig pane in my arm. Is Sumit rong wid me PLz Help!

  • Hey Guys. Im 14 And I Feel Like I Have Heart Problems. Ive Been 2 The Hospital And To Doctors And They All Say Im Fine. Im Scared Cause It Just Seems Like Somethings Wrong. Any Help?

  • what feels wrong

  • use an 8 ball.

  • If any of yall think that you might possibly have this or your chest is hurting please go see a doctor Stat!

  • I have a problem. Sometimes im just siiting here and my heart beat gets faster then slower and i cant breathe. Is this arrhythmia?

  • im 14 sometimes my heart beats weird kinda slow and i can feel it and last night i kept feeling it and it was hard to sleep anyone know why?

  • you should get that checked out

  • It's normal to have a pulpication (pulpication is when your heart beats wierd)once in a while. If you feel dizzy or have difficulties breathing while you have pulpications, go see a doctor.

  • how can i save this video on my USB?

  • I have arrythmia too. First i thought it was something in the food i was allergic too. Well, it still can be it. Anyway, its annoying condition. I got it, atleast started feeling it at the age of 36.

  • Read about one womnan's struggle to survive a visit tot he Johns Hopkins EP Lab: Google "Adventures in Cardiology"

  • another arrhythmia victim here.... y'all aren't alone.... got my event monitor on right now.... PVC's they think.. (and i hope)...

To the gent that mentioned long QT syndrome, I couldn't agree more. Get an ECG PRONTO because long QT leads to Torsades which is.... well... as dangerous as they come.

  • If anyone has this same problem get in touch. Nothing I eat or do makes any difference to the pain and I fear I'll just have a horrible heart attck one day soon. MY family has no history of heart problems so it a real bugger for me to get this crap. Im at a loss

  • Circleofshit (nice username btw) I've got this problem too. i have it a bit mild, but im going in for ANOTHER EKG tomorrow!! GRRR!

  • Hey man. Yeh my name is about the cycle of life, especially the bullshit system we live in!!!! Its cool to know theres other people who have this heart crap as it makes me feel better. (Altho it sucks we have it.) To me, it feels like a freak thing, like extremely unusual. Yeh good luck with that man. Im seeing the cardiologist tommorow. THey always seem grumpy and I dont think they help much. THey always tell me "take this pill and you'll be fine". I want a permenent solution.

  • Damn didnt mean to send that twice woops. Also man, ask about long QT syndrome. I think there may be a possiblity I have this, and you can get it after taking beta bloca pills.

  • God worry's the worst thing in the world. Also, this movie sucks really bad. It can't JUST BE fatal in some cases. It's true that it can cause complications, but these can be solved as well. Worry when you feel that something's really wrong... don't get startled by some dizzyness or weird feelings... i do it too and it sucks! :D

  • CircleofShit, I have a perfect heart. If I die, you can have mine!

  • Lol thanks, but I hope you dont die :)

  • Go to your MD, get a physical, and ask for an EKG and heart sonogram - then change your youtube name.

  • No I will keep my user name thanks, Its the bollocks.

  • Im seeing a cardiologist again net week but they do all the checks on my heart and say theres nothing seriously wrong with it, and thats its likely to be my hearts eletrical system thats at fault. This has resulted in really fast heart pounding after doing some simple things like walking up stairs or getting nervous, angry or stressed. THeres this constant pain in my heart and Im sick of it. Some days are better than others, but its ruining my life. Im only 23 and I was a really fit guy before

  • Hey guys. I have atrial fibrilliation, or did have. Now my heart is in a good rythm but it always hurts. Theres no pain in my chest its just my heart that hurts and aches. I have been put on propanalol, sotalol and metoprolol but nothing works. And this all happened after having a few tokes on a joint 2 years ago. I've had nothing but hospital visits in an ambulance since. I get attcks every now and then when I wake up gasping for air, and my heart reacts strongly to sudden sounds and noises.

  • I doubt it had anything to do with mary jane. Granted, carcinogins, tar and all that other crap you get from smoking weed is bad, but one or two puffs would not send your heart into malfunctioning.

Anyways, I gave up smoking after daily use for 15 years. I feel much better, though I still miss it. Don't know why I'm telling you lol

  • Yeh thats what puzzled me. I can't see how weed would do that to my heart. And I was in serious pain that night. And its had a lasting effect, its been over 2 years now and my heart is still causing me grief.

  • It wasn't the MJ.... heart problems more often than not basically appear overnight. I started having PVC's this February after 34 years of no symptoms, ever. Have you already had ECG, event monitor, nuke treadmill & echocardiogram ?

  • To sonick808-Yes ive had an echo scan, and a billion ECGs. It seems to be my electrical system but nothing is clear on what the cardiologist tells me. I tell him my heart hurts on every beat and when I do excercise my heart pounds so much its very uncomfortable. My heart seems to be faster than it ever was. Its really affecting my quality of life.

  • Hi yeh I'm getting some thorough tests done I'm not happy with the cardiologist at the hospital telling me its my chest muscles giving me pain. He pescribed me codeine and this chest ointment, ansd they are doing NOTHING for the constant pain. I might go and see a private cardiologist.

  • wish I could help - but I'm only a student studying this stuff. If I were in your shoes, I'd find another doc too. It doesn't sound like he/she is listening to you.

  • arrhytmia whas that??is it similar to brugada syndrome?? i suffered from brugada syndrome...im scared

    ,please help me

  • I was diagnosed with SVT after being rushed into the ER with a heart rate of over 300 bpm's. I have been to several specialists and none of them have every seen a heart rate that high before. Basically if you get an SVT your options are, meds for the rest of your life, even though you may only have one episode a year. Or have the extra valve in your heart burnt off. Or do nothing about it and run to the ER room everytime you have an attack.

  • yeah, i have this too

  • I have SVT I just got put on meds. I guess it happends to people a lot???? My last episode hart rate was 240 a min. for about 40 min. I waited a good 10 min befor calling 911. About 20 min later right as I was about to get a shot to slow the hart..converted on my own..lol

  • Could it be cured?

  • not, it cannot

  • nope

  • I have arrhytmia!! What should I do?!

  • go to a doctor of course.

  • record ur heart and send the record to me ot to lightbulb237 ;D

  • thanks
