@InstinctBeats: Thanks for this interesting presentation of the song! You are totally right.
I live in a small city of France where a hip-hop association brings us the best artists still in the game: Premier,Masta Ace,GZA,Pharahoe Monch,The Cunnylinguists,LB...
They all convinced me that real Hip-hop is still alive!
only a genius can understand these (mike tyson, kung-fu ) lyrics< and the beats be from another world.i will die a wu-tang fan, my generation still rock this hard.i miss these guys, they need to show these punks how to spit holla!!!!!!!!!
this track really catches the essence of what gza's all about... i still like it more and more every time i hear it. One of my fav hip hop tracks of all time
Less than 10.000 views...and yet this is possibly the greatest hip hop tune of all time. The album certainly is...tempted to say best album of any music genre period. And i love everything from jazz to drum and bass to rap to classical to reggae to thrash metal...but this is just something else, anyone with any concept of achievement has to agree. Just mind expandingly poisonous
What most 'modern' hip-hop lacks, in my mind, is wordplay like this. The Wu (and its better progeny) had a crazy amount of style that mixed hard thugginess and just the right amount of intelligence and siiiiiick beats. The crap you hear now? Missing all the goddamn subtlety.
People need to start posting the url's of these videos in the comment sections of some of the new(wacker) type hip-hop. This is some good shit. Judging by the number of views however, it shows that the essence of hip-hop is being lost with this breed of stripper/homogangsta/meterothug bullshit.
wow. its funny what u come up with if you spend enough time on u tube. After a long night man...... Im all by myself on this. I miss my HS buddies. 1990's. LOL
Gza can deliver some verses people ain't even ready for. Something that frightens me is... this shit is more relevant then some radio shit we hear. Shit is weird, i can't explain.
i agree wit ur description so much.
