What most 'modern' hip-hop lacks, in my mind, is wordplay like this. The Wu (and its better progeny) had a crazy amount of style that mixed hard thugginess and just the right amount of intelligence and siiiiiick beats. The crap you hear now? Missing all the goddamn subtlety.
