@iTzFASTER Its from an Opel Calibra, they were sold in Europe and Japan in the mid 90's. It bolts up but you need to convert it from cable to hydraulic clutch, convert it from 4wd to 2wd, and fabricate a custom mount. I have more info if you are interested.
@exist3nc3 Hi,my forenza is hydraulic its an 06 forenza so i have that one checked LOL and i can also fabricate a mount for it but converting it from 4wd to 2wd drive i will would really appreciated for that info thanks alot
@exist3nc3 howed u make this car a turbo i own a forenza i cant find parts anywhere i know you can get the size engine and look for parts but idk does it perform alot better?
@djfreake I guess you aren't a very open minded person. I do it because its fun and challenging and at the time almost no one had turboed this car before. This is my daily driver that gets me to work every day, which means I get to enjoy the hard work and effort that went into this project.
@exist3nc3 if you re-read i wasnt being a dick.. i just havent seen a built suzuki, or even parts for them.. didnt i even say i admired you?? is that closed minded?? well anyway best of luck to ya.. cant wait to see after your build it internally
@exist3nc3 ahh no prob.. reading it .. it sounded dickish to me as well.. instead of saying cheap.. what i meant was compact, economy car.. my bad,, really looking forward to seeing some one off build going on there.. make sure to update me with it.. kudos
@Inu1294 Yes mine is also the 16v 2.0L, same across all US/Canada. I would suggest to start doing some reading about turbo systems and how they work and what components are involved. Then make sure you have a budget planned out (I would say $5-7K if a shop is doing it). Make sure any shop you choose is comfortable with doing custom one off turbo builds and spend time to discuss what you want with them. If you feel confident, maybe you can do some or all of it yourself.
@exist3nc3 Ahh ok, I did plan on doing it myself and I work at an auto shop (also I am school to work on aircraft) I hear the max boost on the original Transmission is around 5-6 pounds? I think I read the tranny can only hold out to 180 hp.
Hey, Im in the process of turboing a forenza, what am I in for when it comes to the map sensor? Can you toss me your email so we can go back and forth? Im fabricating an adaptor tomorrow to bolt the turbo directly to the flange where the cat went previously, so in a few days, ima need to start working on that part of the problem solving.
@Lamborgini112 hehe I don't think my current tires will pull of a 13sec pass. Also the track is never prepped properly, the launching area is always full of debris and leftover rubber!!! Unless it improves I would be nervous of wheel hopping and breaking stuff with a real launch.
Thanks for the replies :) Sleepers FTW!

@Inu1294 yeah boost it to ramped 12 psi and your looking for some decent power, any over that and you will need to reinforce some things

What about a 1,6 16v strock engine? It can handle a turbo?
MarczyNub 1 year ago
@MarczyNub 1.6 16v stock engine with stock components would handle a turbo but it wont be able to boost more than 10psi or you'll blow the engine

i think would be a high 13 second pass if you had launched it and not had your other issues. Can't wait to see another with your retune.
