cmon guys, we need to overturn the bill! i want to be able to owe for-profit hospitals healthcare debt i can never repay and have my credit score ruined so that i can never buy a house. or if i want to own a house, i want to be forced to sell it to pay off my healthcare debt.
i also want to be denied an insurance for my pre-existing conditions so that i dont harm the insurance companies profitability.
checking out the "supposed facade"; we can't trust anything anymore unless it comes from the White House, and , yes, I believe the Republicans are running scared, for sure.
Oh yes, I just shake my head as I step over all the bodies lying in the streets from all the people who died because they didn't have health ins.... (big eyeroll)
I am sorry you feel so badly about your parents. I was raised that I should respect mine, after all they have lived longer, seen more and have a much broader perspective than I do.
As far as bankrupt from medical bills, I hear you. I agree we need reform, we need to allow ins companies to compete across state lines, and we need to allow them to offer more "ala carte" type coverages where you only pay for what you want to cover for yourself. Instead all things for everyone.
no, you need coverage for everything because illnesses are unforeseeable. but apparently the dumb rednecks in this forum think that we dont need it. before the bill passed, companies were allowed to deny coverage to people based on existing conditions. that is bullshit. not everyone has or can maintain perfect health.
in previous years you could exceed policy limits and still be in tremendous debt.
Lets say you are a guy (I am just assuming here) and you want to buy health ins. Because of state regulations you are required to be covered for maternity care, how does that make sense!?!? Unless you are the first modern medical miracle that truely is a man who gets pregnant, why should you pay for that in your health ins plan? Just like if I got a plan for myself I shouldn't be paying for coverage of testicular issues....
If you agree with that then we need to step up our game. In th comment section of my profile you will find a petition by Howard Dean... please sign it and while you are there make a few phone calls and let them all know what you think. Thanks.
h3y h3y, good job,, keep it up---humor is just about the only way to cut thru the $hrublican-Lobbyi$t stronghold on the now crumbling health care debate =][=
