@ehthrough Hi and thanks for writing back. I ended up going on Sunday but the parking lot was pretty full. I think that might be one to take on a day off from work or later in the year. I love hiking in the fall and winter and on a clear day I'm sure it will incredible. Ended up taking a couple of sections of the PCT and saw a grand total of zero people on the trails all day. I sure wish more people would hike...but sometimes I'm glad they don't. :)
Well done. If you happen to run across this comment could you let me know if the trail was crowded or pretty empty? I've hiked a ton in the San Gabriels but have yet to do Mt. Baden. Seems like the lot always has cars and I'm a bit more in to the solitude of the mountains.
But as I was thinking about doing it in the July 4, like you did, I figured you were the right people to ask. :)
And to anyone watching this from outside L.A....See..it's not all cement and beach!
It was actually pretty sparse the day we hiked it. We definitely weren't alone on the trail, but nothing close to bothersome. Its a great hike and view, have fun if you choose to do it!
