I'm Corporal and you know I may not have liked every Marine that I've served with but I say this much, "I love this fucking job and I thank God everyday he gives me the Corps, I mean where else do you get to see shit like this?" Call me a motard I don't give a fuck!
What a dumb question. " What poses t you to go into that field to get him." What the hell were you thinking their Marines and they will go through hell and high water to save his fellow Marine. Semper FI.
I wana understand, and i wana feel the same pride as those who went before me. I can only get a 3rd person feel until that one day i get through bootcamp and earn that title, United States Marine. Im sure a Few others out there feel the same. A Few.
@SgtBenasfre i think the Marine said "He's a Marine i'll take care of him." that is after all saving a fellow marine from a fierce gin battle right? Sir.
"I take exception to the use of the term "former Marine". Former to me means one time you were, you are no longer. A Marine is a Marine, he's just in uniform or out. Once he gets through bootcamp he's a Marine for life, and he'll take it right to his grave." - Col Wesley Fox USMC Ret
Today i was talking to a Vietnam Veteran and he went down and visited the Wall in D.C. and he said that on one of the flag polls at the bottom is a brass thing that shows all the emblems of the armed forces and he said that the Marines one was shiney... he asked someone and they said that a Marine everyday goes and shines it up... he said to that lady OORAH........ i love that story he was A Marine in the helocopters in Vietnam

Great video. Thanks for posting it. Even after 20 years since I wore the uniform, it puts to words feelings that are still in my heart .

"I couldn't go into shock - I was in charge" - this was from a MARINE who had BOTH hands blown off and a compound fracture of his leg. Semper Fi.

@GACuster The Marine Corps Legacy of Valor continues to this day.
Todays Marines are just as couragous as those who stormed the beaches of Iwo Jima or those of the Frozen Chosen.
CARRY ON MARINES!!

My favorite part 3:05
Reporter: Whatever possessed you to go running into the paddy like that?
Marine: I'm a Marine.
Reporter: How do you mean?
Marine: I'm a Marine, I'll take care of it.

It is something only we understand.
When we try to explain to non Marines, they don't get it. After all these years I just cut the whole thing short by saying:
"It's a Marine thing, you won't understand"
Keep Attacking!
