No he is great. But i still havent heard him hold a note for a whle bar? Still Remember the 80s HE was in my mind the #2 shred man right behind if not in front of yngwie as far as being fast as lightning , accurate as all heck and just knowing his board really really well. the slo albums songs werre lacking which bummed me for I go for a little more grove but there were momente. In all he is a shredhead !!!!

His stuff with Vicious Rumors was pretty incredible to say the least. He has some music theory of Harmonic and Melodic scales +.

He can play anything.

@peak199 How many guitar player have his skill in rock music? Very few. Steve Morse (mentioned earlier), Eric Johnson, Malmsteen and a few others that really can play at that level. Vinnie is a monster guitar player and well rounded at that. Music theory and gifted hands produce people like Vinnie Moore....

Schenker solos sound very melodic BUT he's also the master of the the doublestops and because of that they always sound crunchy too. It give his solos ALOT of balls! Don't know if that makes sense but thats how I see it.

I dont think they could have picked a better replacement for Schenker than Vinnie. He did an outstanding job. Fantastic guitarist. It's silly picking who's better between the 2. Theyre both awesome, that's all that matters.

If UFO is inducted into either MTV or VH1 or RnR HOF then who gets the invite? Schenker, Vinnie or Both? My vote goes to Schenker. Flake or not he brought them to the brink of greatness. Don't know why they couldn't turn the corner so all I can say is that its the fault of management and promotion. They should've booked them on a Rolling stones or zeppelin tour to get them out infront of some reporters and fans. Schenker! Schenker! Schenker. Luv vinnie though. Best alternative possible

Go Vinnie! UFO has always rocked. UFO has inspired many rock musicians, but at the same time they are very under-rated.

It will be interesting to see what they accomplish with Vinnie Moore on guitar.
