I harvest the roots, clean and cut in thin pieces. I lay a layer of wax paper on a cookie sheet and set the oven on 250 and roast the roots until toasted brown and dry. This makes an excellent tea which has a similar taste to coffee.
nice guy. clean up diet, drink plenty pure water, especially with lemon juice and herbal teas (ie dandelion, milk thistle, etc) and supplement with a good antioxidants, zinc, and B vitamins. No more dehydrated fatty processed diet or risky sexual/drug behavior! you'll know when you're better when you FEEL better and when things like caffeine don't aggravate you. It generally aggravates you because your liver can't process it. Same for those who get hypomanic on omega 3, etc.
My husband was recently diagnosed with Hep c & stage 4 Cirhosis of the liver. He also has type 2 diabetes. They him to take the Alpha Interferon & Rabivarin injections. Is there something else that he can do without doing this? Can you help please?
@7222rsj Interferon does not work well in stage 4 cirrhosis. When one has diabetes they should not use interferon. Interferon will not work and it may well prove fatal.
I started giving my friend some natural herbal teas and it has helped her. Of course MD's think all this is hogwash. I've been advocating natural treatments since the 1980's...it's hard to convince people. They often go back to their MD's and are told that's it's no good. We all have to have an open mind. Doctors only know about drugs and little else.
It was suggested to me to just pull up dandelions, wash them, and put them through the juicer with carrots and apples and beets. Is there an advantage to making tea, rather than juicing them raw?
I'm glad to have found your videos. Thank you for posting them.

The one thing that i do agree with is Milk Thistle, it is widely know as a liver cleanser, i will have to try Hysop tea though, i will look out for it next time i go to the local town to buy herbals, but well done for raising the issue, 5*****s
@HeppersHelper hi there 1st off its been a long comming i talked with u in the past name (shon) just was watching another of ur videos about dandelion root tea i hear good things about it but was wonderning about something that i read it sait the sideeffect can be excezma just wanted to know from ur point of view
Excellent channel and video on herbal teas. i have always been one to promote health and heaing with natural roots and teas. Many blessings and peace unto you.
is dandelion the one who grows everywhere with the yellow flowers then it turn white? or some poeple hate it in there lawn..and call it weeds??? is that the one?
It was funny when he couldn't remember the term "Brain Fog" maybe he should toss in a little Ginko. Enjoyed the video makes a good point about Milk Thisle and hadn't heard of Hyssup Tea.
Great video. Great information. BUT when did black tea become bad for you? Obviously Green Tea is the best, Black Tea is second, and White Tea is not as beneficial as Green and Black but it is still good for you.
Hyssop is the best. It's the herb branch used to offer vinegar to Jesus on the cross. There's a significance! It's a holy herb symbol of atonement. The others, Dandelion root, Milk Thistle, and Burdock are great too. Thanks for the vid! God bless!
Hi Lloyd, Just happened to stumble onto your site, lucky me. I have hep C, luckily it has not impacted my life. You mentioned something about high blood pressure medicine. I'm taking Adalat XL, have been for a few months. Is this a problem? Maybe you have something natural for high blood pressure. I think it was mostly related to stress. Thanks, Judith (64yrs young)
I want to thank you for your video it helped alot!!! It is so true what you said about using natural things such as tea, instead of pills , which sometimes just do more damage to your liver. I love this video and hope to see more of your videos, aAgain thank Lloyd.....*HUGS*
very informative video i love the background you have :) must be a lovely place where you live , very peaceful and calm, if we could all live like that :) THANKS
The silymarin is not water soluable so there is a low amount of it in tea but the full plant product is present in Milk Thistle seed tea and it makes a huge difference in the health of the liver. Instead of doubting this, try it. Buy it from someone else becasue it cost me to much money to provide it.
Yeah, Wright, you gouge people with your high prices, so only the rich can afford your stuff. I know the M.D.s KILL, but you KILL TOO, by the fact that you have what will cure hep c, but withhold it from anyone who doesnt have a couple thousand bucks a month to pay for your stuff, so you are a killer too, as guilty, even more so than the M.D.s. May you burn in hell!!! As for me, i am going to try MMS, its cheap and that guy could have charged a fortune too, but hes not a greedy bastard like u r.
you don't know shit about profit margins. if something is cheap you can double the price and it's still cheap.. if it'sespensive to begin with.. to manufacture.. you can hardly add enough mark up to cover costs.
Also, sometimes cheapshit is cheap because it's shit.
tea's ok, I think you are going to be one of the biggest factors in my healing Lloyd, along with meditation, holosync & eft. Doctors & medications have done serious damage they do not want to coorect, & I feel they will damage me more, they don't listen & are drug happy themselves & don;t know what damage the drugs do. I take the herb capsules, I have tea, stopped using, will start again & will get ones u suggested, out of mushrooms too, thx as always, my healing Guru
best video i found on liver health..what about combining the dandelion root, burdock and milk thistle herbs in the 2 quart recipe below? What about adding hyssop? Is that too much?
Thanks for answering my previous question. It's very hard to find hyssop and dandelion root tea. I would be grateful if you could advice me where I can buy them. Thank you
Dandelion root tea works very well to remove toxins. I know the capsule dosen't work as well as the tea. Tea is a different delivery system and works much better.
Thanks for the information. I am in Sweden. I wanted to ask about Dandelion Root Extract as a substitute for the tea... Do you have any experience with the extract form and is it as beneficial as the tea?
I'm taking Milk Thistle capsules made by "Solgar Vitamin and Herb Co." I didn't know there was a Milk Thistle Tea, are the capsules just as beneficial?

You may also want to consider sam-e, which is very good for protection of the liver.
MikeMiller48 11 months ago
Don't forget sam-e, it's a great liver protector, you can find sam-e in the vitamin section of any store.

The first mention of the dandelion as a medicinal plant was in writings by Arabian physicians of the Tenth and Eleventh Centuries.

The word the doc is seeking is "Encephalopathy."
Know it well (effect and word). Brain-fog is a reasonable synonym, imo. I sometimes say "squid-brain" because of similar sounding cephalapod.
One thing it does is make you forget words.

Bring 2 quarts water to boil,
Rinse 1/2 cup dandelion root,
Add dandelion root to boiling water,
Return to full rolling boil,
Cover, turn off heat, let brew for 1 hour.
Strain with fine strainer.
Drink and enjoy! Put the rest in the refrigerator.
