In shotokan the closest kata is Gankaku to this version of Chinto. The older version Chinto is not studied in most Shotokan schools (Although I know that the SKIF (Kanazawa Sensei) does study it), but is called Gankaku Sho
I learned a Korean variation called No Hai or at least it is suppose to be, but it has been so long since I have done it. I don't recognize this one at all!
What style is this? We do Chinto Kata in Isshin Ryu, but it is very different. For one, no twisting punch. I love seeing katas from other styles and try to figure out the Bunkai.
Ha! Maybe it was the other way around. :)

Gankaku was the Okinawan name of the kata. It was changed to Chinto when it was taken to Japan due to anti-Chinese sentiment at the time, so I hear.

The Isshin ryu version is the older version of the kata. From the Kyan lineage.

Performed much like the Matsumure Seito except the cat stance and other minor moves. Very good.

that is not chinto. that is gankaku. name of the kata is wrong simple mistake. but still very well done.

Chinto is Gankaku. Two different styles, two names for same kata. Many subtle differences between the two, but essentially the same kata.

@jbabiuch
Chinto is the older name. Its refers to Okinawan as oppose to Japanese.
