The Matador passes the muleta too close to the ground, making the bull go headfirst into it. If you had researched even a little bit, you would know that when that happens it is a sign the matador is doing badly. The other images of the bull falling are also cause of either fatigue or just the bull slipping and falling.

I live in Mexico, not far from Plaza Mexico, the world's largest bullring. I have to say it disturbs me. A 48,000 seat stadium dedicated to watching a peaceful animal such as a bovine bled to death. The fact that many people think it's a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon is scary... what is humanity coming to?
And keep in mind, many of the spectators are tourists to Mexico City. This is /not/ the way to enjoy the beauty of Mexico.

I've been a vegetarian for about 2 years now, and I always wish I had become one sooner. These are some of the most beautiful bovine animals I have ever seen and I would be happy to call one my friend. The last time I went to a farming fair I spent all my time petting the cows, goats, sheep, and other animals that were there on display. I hoped, against hope I imagine, that the animals I befriended that day would never end up on a plate or in a situation like this.

Both claimed to have pulled out of bullrings. To the best of our knowledge, Pepsi has stuck by that (still sponsors rodeos though), while Coke initially pulled out, but then went back on its word. Neither company could be called "green" or even ethical, but Coke is far worse in our opinion.

Gosh, this is sickening!! Pure torture and a violation of animal rights. This act of bullfighting should be stopped as it has no value to anyone. What is the point of hurting or killing an animal for human pleasure or sport? I am shocked in how heartless humans get a thrill out of ending god’s creatures in such manner. This must stop and should never happen again. I'm sure if you put a single man in a stadium with three large bulls, we would be the first to complain how it is so unfair.

I've been a vegetarian for about 2 years now, and I always wish I had become one sooner. These are some of the most beautiful bovine animals I have ever seen and I would be happy to call one my friend. The last time I went to a farming fair I spent all my time petting the cows, goats, sheep, and other animals that were there on display. I hoped, against hope I imagine, that the animals I befriended that day would never end up on a plate or in a situation like this.

Then why do you focus so highly on american rodeos, we have one event that i will admit is completely wrong, steer busting(i believe thats what you called it) but bull riding and bronc riding do not injure the animals involved unless the animals fall over or run into something, i know this because ive rode bulls and tend to bucking horses. the cowboy will get injured 10 times more then the animal again i know cause ive suffered said injuries

Bullfighting would be a fraction of its size as an industry were it not for curious tourists, most of whom are disgusted once they see it. OK Serves me right for watching; I usually disagree with sharkonline but this was disgusting.
The tourists could easily be contented witha 'sham' bullfight and would probably be happier with circus tricks and a display of riding skills .

Shark, keep up the good work. I have been horrified all my life by bullfighting and cannot understand how anyone can justify this cruelty. After reading your note about sponsors, I checked Coca-cola since this is my favorite drink and they have a statement that they don't sponsor rodeo or bullfighting.How can I check the facts?

lovesbriardi: Coke wants to have it both ways. It wants to sponsor rodeos and bullfights for people who like that, and not sponsor any animal abuse for people who want humane treatment. This is a company with no ethics whatsoever, and the one we despise most of all corporate sponsors because it paints itself as humane while being the lowest of the low. It blames its sponsorships on its bottlers, but Coke decides who the bottlers can sponsor. It's all a shell game to fool all of us.

lovesbriardi: This video actually shows a bunch of Pepsi ads in one particular bullring, and there were others also. However, SHARK conducted campaigns against both Pepsi and Coke. Both claimed to have pulled out of bullrings. To the best of our knowledge, Pepsi has stuck by that (still sponsors rodeos though), while Coke initially pulled out, but then went back on its word. Neither company could be called "green" or even ethical, but Coke is far worse in our opinion.

This is awful. Bulls are domesticated animals - they mean no harm to us. All they are doing is defending itself against someone who's repeatedly stabbing them..I hate bullfighting, and it baffles me how anyone can defend this.

wolfgirl9606: One the web site that is shown at the bottom of the video we have contact info for bullfight sponsors Corona and Coca-Cola, and for the Vatican I believe. Contacting them and letting them know your thoughts would be helpful. If bullfighting loses its sponsors and the support of the church, it will have great difficulty surviving.

Jefrma: The Vatican does not sponsor bullfights, but does allow Catholic priests to be involved in services, sometimes in the bullrings, and allow Catholic worship at the bullrings by the killers before they torture the bulls.

This is really horrible. I can't do anything but cry when i see this. Awful. There are people who is really not worthy to live, by that i mean people who do this to an innocent, beautiful and calm animal. I have had bulls and cows myself and they are very friendly and you can pet them for hours. This is really horrible. I can't watch it.. Kepp it upp SHARK, i really hope you win, for the animals sake!

I bet that these, so called "bull fighters" have no utter sympathy for these bulls, they just think they are waste of air. Even if bullfighting is a tradtion in spain and other spanish countries, It should be banned or instead of almost killing the animal. They would use fake arrows and the safest thing to do is tire the animal out then work it back to health.
