I am doing my best in a transition from 14 years of firefighting, I have a 3.98 GPA, and I'm still struggling to gain entry into a program because I don't fit "the profile" of woman/gay man.
It's important for anyone looking at nursing education to realize that this process is extremely trying in many ways.

Good man. I'm 18, about to start college, completely lost in life and not sure what I want to do. My sister, a year younger than me will be going to nursing school. I have a few ideas of what I want to do but I always second guess it.. I just wanna get paid for my hard work... anywhere near 100k i'd be happy with. I wouldn't have to worry about supporting my family unlike my parents have had to. Thanks for your time I hope to get a personal response from you to help get me on track =/
im a male nurse and i graduate in may with a ASN degree. My parents persuaded me to goto nursing school about 2 and a half years ago. I am glad that I will be in a good econimical suitation when i get out. There are alot of my friends who are losing their jobs and are in trouble. I want to do travel nursing one day but want to specialize in ER Nursing. Any advice you can give Jerry? School is hitting me hard right now. But I can tell you nursing isn't the easiest thing ive ever done lol
If you get a dui or dwi. You can't be a nurse! I wanted to be a nurse.

The nursing schools in my town have a 3 year waiting list.Too long of a wait for people who have families to support.
