What change is Obama talking about, huh, huh? Don't vote for him. He is the most liberal member of the entire senate. His score was 95.5% in 2007. Hillary Clinton's was only 82.8%. Harry Reid's was 89.2%. If you vote for Obama, you wan't this country to get fucked up.
Obama hit the nail on the head. We're tired of the same ol folks running Washington, which includes Hilary, Obama and McCain themselves. They ARE the problem! Mccain and Clinton are old windbags who offer nothing of substance or conviction. They know that the formidable tide of optimism and shift toward progressive, dynamic leadership is the way forward. They are afraid of Obama and the youth of this country who are choosing freedom. Freedom from fear, despair, and anonymnity.
At first I thought that Veracifier was a little bias in presenting Obama in this video... but the truth is that this is the reality of the candidates' current attitudes about the election. I'm ready for Obama to rise up above the stagnant tradition we've had.
All three of them ultimately stand for the same thing and that is keep us into meaningless wars, continue to allow corporatism to rule this country, and having us to pay for all this. But hey at least we're getting state run healthcare that will ultimately drive prices even higher, decline our healthcare system more than it already is, and make longer waiting periods to get treated. At the end of it all we should blame ourselves and not these politicians cause they embody what we have become.
McCain is not a hero. The man did nothing but drop bombs on peasants, by his own admission he was on his 23rd bombing mission before he was shot down. It's a shame they didn't blow his ass up for participating in war crimes.
Why was he tortured? What was he doing before he was captured? Are you ready to apply the 'hero' label to islamic militants tortured by the US as well? Even if some of them may be guilty of terrorist acts ?
I agree we should not put too much blame on the soldiers, it is their leaders who are ultimately responsible for starting wars, but I refuse to call them heroes for simply being pawns of a terrorist state.
Brilliant editing work. I hope the campaigns of both Hillary and McCain see this and mull over what it means that they share the same stale speech and vision, nearly point by point. I don't know which to shudder over more, that Hill's is like McCain's, or vice versa.
This just demonstrates how flawed both opponents are -- and the ideologies they represent. America will reject McCain as soundly as it has Billary. Obama in a landslide in November....
The wife and I feel all fired up just the same as we did back when Libby and Bob Dole ran for President. It sure is exciting to have a War Hero in the campaign again!
War Hero?!?! What did he do besides get shot down and captured? If enduring torture makes you a Hero, what have we done to those we have tortured? And what happened to Bob Dole? Down in flames again.
hey man, I'm firmly on Obama's and the dems' side, but the guy did serve his country for a really long time, and endured more than we could ever imagine as a POW; I respect that and honor his service, though I disagree with his political platform. Why quibble over the word hero anyway? Better to focus on issues than to launch a questionable attack imho...
Not to get too ahead of ourselves, but Obama Republican Crossovers in Nov. could usher in a new permanent majority for the Democrats for at least a decade. Jim Webb's "Purple Heartbreakers" describes the betrayal of the military by Pres. Bush (via pay/benefit cuts, 3-4 tours of duty, Blackwater, Swiftboating, etc...). There's a whole block of middle-of-the-road Americans ready to be solidified to vote against Bush & join together to fix what he wrought.
If Hillary doesn't approve of using words maybe she should stop trying to use them ... show us instead revealing video clips of her working on the anti-union anti-labor Wal-Mart board of directors and other highlights of her career ... or perhaps repeatedly voting to enable the chimp-in-chief to destroy more people and countries, voting to continue using cluster bombs on 'enemy populations' (where 40% of the victims are children) ... words can't describe the misery of that record! change now!!!
Let's see... How far has NOT talking to people gotten the US? Cuba is passing power from Castro to Castro... Iran is doing what it wishes... Osama is still breathing air thanks to our "friend" Pervez. Why is the world so "Dangerous"? Because we continue to treat the rest of the world like they are less than us and not worthy of respect. When you treat people the way you want to be treated, you get a long way. McCain needs to save his remaining heartbeats to bone his pretty little wife.
"Hillary, now you're just being peevish, dyspeptic, narcissistic, and pitiful. In all, you're not as good as you think you are, if I'm being honest with you..."
"McCain, my friend, your act is so tired I could see that on any 2nd rate cruise ship in the Carribean."
"Obama, you've got "the it" factor. You're a breath of fresh air."
Since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096 including **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 - became law, **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law, **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, - became law, **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more.
