Maybe I've made this comment before, but this video made me excited about switching from ret to prot for my guild back in BC. Once I got geared and skilled enough and ran Kara many times, I even spent like 300-375 DKP to get Midnight. People were surprised then, but it's Wotlk now and I'm still riding Midnight; he stands for the fulfillment of my first tanking dream. Thanks, brummie.

Paladins --> great tanks, if they have good skill, and as it shows they hold aggro on lots of mobs at once =] basically, you need 490 defence, possibly 100 spell dmge?? and then (if you are raid tank) crush immunity. good gear is a bonus from there.

for 5 mans if he has anything less that 200 spell damage ya may wanna run away. ya want quite a bit more for raids :) I run 391 spell damage and have no problems on aoe tanking at all

impossible for a bloody warrior to get 22k hp and they naturaly have more hp than a pally

490 depense is NOT crush imunity... its not critable.

Guys any real endgame raid guild will tell you paladins can tank. You dont need to go looking for these videos to get evidence for paladins being able to tank

nice job. :} i'm an aspiring paladin tank as well. I wanted to try out a warrior but i think i'm going to stick to my paladin. Just a quick question: what is the addon you're using that gives a Heads up message on when your cooldowns are finished or started? it seems really useful, especially for paladins. :}

I gotta question started working on my prot set recently really hardcore, and right now i am sitting at 10780 health unbuffed, is that good with blues and epics and a decent shield? (no one wants to run mech lol so cant get exalted their lol)

also i was wondering if you have tanked anything else like ssc+, having to work on my prot set becuase other paladin left, and maybe you can help me with a spec, i got 0/51/10 for more parry

i would get some more gear if i were u, but i guess you can pick that up as holy as you go.

about the spec, you can check me out on armory (Brummie @ VashjEU), my spec is considered a raiding spec, you could change imp jotc with precision, and/or reckoning for 1h weap speci. or some more changes, but that is the basics.

improved judgement should really be included in your spec.

Just a tip, ure a great tank man, But on Attuman, try taking the ranged classes like s.priests, hunters and mages to go up behind him inside the 8 yard range mark, then u wont have to worry bout him charging random team member, since they are all in range, he cant cleave since they are behind, its even easier to tank him this way. Thought this might be your intention, since u have low hp? Give the healers some time to catch up?

kara (especially attumen) is really not my range anymore, i got 4x t6 by now + random MH/BT epics, so yeah :P

about getting them in range, i knew the trick, dont think its really important though, the charge doesnt kill people :P, afaik he even does less damage in the same timeframe, cause he's running

again, i can only guess, i'd say my health was ~11.5k unbuffed, maybe a tad more, i would've had just over 490 (read 498 or something) defence, and about 5.5k mana (incl mage buff)

Hes just spamming consecration, no real skill to it. and besides tanking like this is pointless, he's still in blues. the only reason he lived is because he had good healers. not bashing the guy its just pointless, this is just a waste of the healers mana. Let the feral druid MT and you OT the horse

wether it is me tanking both, or seperate people tanking, the incomming damage is about equal, and you have an extra dpsser (the druid) to get the fight done faster reliefing stress one every1, and especially the healers.

spelldmg sword is all im using, and ass i come by t4/t5 that also has spelldmg offcourse...

however when i got to SSC/TK i noticed my threat failed miserably, so i got the arena 1hmace, but still thats the only item dedicated to spelldmg.

no other items chosen for spelldmg or spelldmg enchant anywhere

2. while casting, u cant dodge/block/parry. u could do it, but use it when he charges... didnt feel theres a need for it really, usually have plenty of threat

Yup I love having a tankadin as our MT...well pretty much our only tank atm. I'm a Arc/Fire mage and I cant pull of ours if I tried and I hit like a truck. I have a hard time rolling with warriors now after being with a pally for so long. <3 My Tankadins!!!

shield is the Crest of the Shatar, you get it by becoming exalted with the Sha'tar. Can't identify the sword. Might be the Archmage one from HH exalted, not sure

Excellent tanking. I'm thinking of building a tankadin too. I noticed you used exorcism obviously because of the undead, but in (most) situations where you aren't tanking undeads is it possible to hold as much aggro as you were doing in the video? thanks :) And what's your talent distribution? (x/y/z)

but as a general answer: YES you can keep aggro, most mobs stick to you like glue.

i was not flasked, used "normal" buffpots, elxir of major fortitude, elixir of major agility, and stamina food, but thats nothing special, and i'm sure i could deal without them, but i always try to make things as easy as possible ;)
