@SpiritualBeggar89 I totally understand, and I totally agree. I got the feeling more from Fire in Our Throats though, but it's exactly that... It just feels somehow organic.
Into the Lungs of Hell-Megadeth, Orion-Metallica, The Call of Ktulu-Metallica, Suicide and Redemption-Metallica, The Ecstasy of Gold-Metallica, Sting of Remorse-Nightrage, Regret Not-All That Remains, Atonement-Heaven Shall Burn, Surfing With The Alien-Joe Satriani, Man Made God-In Flames, Soothsayer-Buckethead, Jordan-Buckethead, 1776-Iced Earth, Horsehead Nebula-Blood Tsunami
All of these are great instrumentals. Hope this helps
this music makes me imagine hard working logging trucks cry in a deep forest with oily sweat leaking from their transmissions. reminds me days when i visited my fathers work and witnessed those mighty machines.
yes, but this is not 2-dimensial as megadeth. plus this really isn't a 'metal' band....they transcend the genre. very progressive. and smart. but can't compare them with megadeth. or metallica. or even a band greater than both combined (Meshuggah!).....like apples and oranges. i think Pelican is like Rush if they were heavier...
but yer not ignorant! i often am.....or at least a bit haughty.
i admit, i know little about megadeth, but when i listen to XM42, i often skip or move on to something else when one of the following bands is on: dragonforce, megadeth, pantera...
Yup, the initial pressing of the EP on CD had Embedding the Moss and Ephemeral mixed up. The 2nd CD pressing fixed this. Also, Ephemeral is on the new album and it's exactly the same, so this is the song Ephemeral.
Pelican transcends music, many people who rock out in my ride find the music both soothing and sonic, the awesome thing is some of these people are totally unfamiliar with pelican & southernlord bands/hydra head, if they where to hear label mates of Pelican,a vast majority of my passengers would hate it. but pelican seems to just make people feel. i like to think it's the instrumental aspect that can speak way louder then any words.
I always liked this version better than the WWACTN album version. This one is obviously taking its time to roll through.

The most "human" band I ever heard. So natural colours.. Hard to explain with words.
