  • @mitziuk Good luck with your projects and thanks for your comments.

  • Very nice job! However, I didn't see how they were connected to each other to form the link.

  • @BlueCrystal316

Thanks for watching my video! To see how to attach the Egyptian links, please view "How to Make A Silver Wire Jewelry Necklace, Egyptian Link Part 2. I begin to discuss how to attach the links at this location 4:40 Because of the complicated nature of this link, I needed to present it in a 2 part video series.

  • What gauge wire did you use? Beautiful artistry by the way.

  • @curlytoy

Glad you liked the video! To make the Egyptian Link Necklace I used 20 gauge wire. I also often use 18 gauge.

  • Amazing work. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this so that those of us who didn't know how to do this can after watching your video!!

  • @salexander1101 That's what I was hoping to do! Glad you enjoyed learning about it!

  • Oh, oops, sorry I just realized you already have a part two! Sorry I didn't look hard enough. Never mind. Still really good camera postion though.

  • @DaBlondeTwins Haha- thanks!

  • Really cool. It says it's part one, so when are you going to post part two? I really want to know how to do this, it looks really, really cool when finished. By the way, nice camera position.

  • You have some of the best how to videos on Youtube! Thank you so much! Great work.

  • @TEENDaHows

    Thanks!!

  • Maybe you would like to try Preciosa components in your designs? You can view their website on Facebook, it would be worth a look !

  • Great Videography! Did I spell that right? :) "Other's should watch yours". Camera is still and close to see what is happening. It stays on the work not up down up down missing the hands. BEST OF ALL: YOU SHOW HOW TO DO IT ON 4 LINKS. AND YOU DO IT SLOWLY. GREAT TEACHER! GREAT VIDEO! Thank you! I will look for more of your Video's!

  • @ArtisticDreams1

Thanks! Glad you liked the video!

  • This may sound odd but one reason I like your videos besides the slow, clear, methodical way you teach is that you also have a nice soothing voice. It's not distracting and quite trustworthy.

  • Could you show a video connecting the group of links?

  • @katieNlove

Thanks for watching my video. In Egyptian Link Part 2, I show how to connect the links.

  • What guage wire do you use? Great video, I've tried the egyptian link before, it takes patience.

  • @sueintexas

I use 18 or 20 gauge nickel silver wire, or .035 sterling silver wire, round, soft.

  • Hello, Definitely loved the Egyptian Wire Link necklace. I have a friend in Chicago who works as a docent in the Egyptian Arts Dept. I would dearly love to make this necklace for her. Your instructions are quite clear, the term I would use to create the coils is "ratcheting" Like using a ratchet I hope that helps. I subscribed to your site as you have the best instructions for teaching as I have ever seen. Thanks JoAnn

  • @newmeetings

Thanks JoAnn! Also I used the term "ratcheting" in class today, thanks to you!

  • beautiful work.. where do you buy the sterling silver wire from?

  • @annasbeautysecrets

Thanks! I buy my silver from Myron Toback. They take phone orders.

  • I liked most of the information, but you did not finish the video. It did not show how to connect the bracelet. I am new at this and you also did not tell about how much we would need to make the necklace. Help !!!!!!!!

  • @djdrummer7

Thanks for watching my video! Please watch How to Make A Silver Wire Necklace, Egyptian Link Part 2

This video will show you how to complete the necklace. You should also watch my video on how to make the clasp.

  • about 30 feet of wire

  • EDIT.for the whole necklace i mean, not for each piece

  • Hi tanika971, I have a student who intends to make this necklace in 14k gold! The necklace that you see in the video actually consists of 57 individual links, not including the clasp links. Each link requires 5.5" of wire to making a total of 313.5" or 26.125' I originally bought 30' of sterling silver round, soft wire. But definitely practice making the links using nickel silver wire, before making them is sterling silver.

  • @realisticart where do you buy your wire from? any suggestions? (interested in web-shops)

  • for the whole necklace, i dont mean each little length

  • hOW SILVER MUCH IN LENGTH WOULD YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS? am completely new to jewllery making so am learing all the time

  • y el final ...................??????????????

  • Very creative and great teaching. The designs looked great.

  • what gauge of wire do u use for this project?

  • Excellent video thanks!!

But a little warning (not bagging you or anything)

I made a bracelet like this once and it caught in my hair.

Had to cut it out with scissors, lucky it was my left hand stuck to my head!! Lol

  • You are a wonderful teacher! Perfect delivery and tempo, very detailed and informative, great visuals and tips. I so look forward to future demonstrations and seeing more of your stunning creations. I cant wait to make this beautiful necklace! Thank you so much! You are at the top of my favorites:)

  • nice hands!

  • You are an excellent teacher. I am actually taking a class this coming Saturday and basically doing the same thing. I wanted to familiarize myself before I went to the class. Thanks for putting this on here.

  • I love your videos and would love to see more of your ideas. I sat last night and made this into a bracelet and I am so proud of the results please share more :-)

  • Thanks! I do plan to post more videos. Glad you enjoyed making an Egyptian link bracelet!

  • Excellent video, Thank you so much

  • I use 18 gauge sterling silver. If you use Nickel Silver or some other metal, I recommend 20 gauge. 18 gauge in Nickel Sliver is hard to bend. Also if you use .035 sterling, make sure you purchase round/soft wire. It also comes in "Hard" which is almost impossible to use for the Egyptian Link,

  • I'm a beginner with wire wrapping... Is that about 20 or 19 guage wire?

  • beautiful... love it.... I would love to try to make this....
