sorry dude I work at a gun shop/indoor range which is a class 3 dealer...we also have machine guns for rent.... we buy them for 800 to 1300 bucks....dealer samples are alot different than transferable mgs.... they paid no more than 1200 bucks for it...fun as hell to shoot tho.... i work for shooters express in Belmont N.C.
LoL a full auto isn't $85,000 it's the same as a semi auto $1,500. But only dealers can buy them.
Only CIVILIAN LEGAL full autos are expensive because there hasn't been any new ones made since 1986. Its a supply and demand problem. There is a fixed number of legal MGs on the market so they cost about 10x what a semi auto counterpart cost.
For example an AR-15 is about $1000 and a legal M16 is about $10,000.
But there are no legal Vector SMGs because it is a new gun.
Who the fuck said this weapon was $85,000? If you get the $200 Stamp or have a class 3 I personally know of a website they're selling it for $3,999.95. I'm probably gonna get it too.
They're referring to the full auto capable version which of course is going to cost that much. You're referring to the SBR which is why you'd have to pay a 200 dollar tax stamp and fill out the papers. Yours is going to be a semi-only capable SBR rifle. Also, 4 grand is insane. Look around. SGCusa has the SBR for 2K. That of course is excluding the 200 dollar tax stamp.
@surge1899 any of the dealers on the kriss-tdi dealer list should be able to order it from them for you if they don't have it in stock. If you google the company's name (or the gun's name) you can find their website where they have a list that you can search by state or by zipcode for a dealer near you.
@surge1899 Keep in mind that, as this weapon has a folding stock, and doesn't have a fixed stock option AFAIK, the semi-auto version is legal for civilians in only 38 states.
@bigredtruckfromal $85K !! That's crazy. If they are trying to get the military and law enforcement to use these, the price is going to have to come down substantialy. I think the guy at the gun store might have recieved some bad info, they designed this gun to be efficient and easy to take apart and clean; think of an accurate AK-47. My best guess with optics and all other tactical kit, I don't think it would top $10K
@bigredtruckfromal no way does that cost more than a 2010 BMW 7-series. I'm sorry but get your numbers straight. I'd say at most this gun would cost 2-3 thousand.
85,000 is not right unless you are talking about buying it illegally. the same exact gun in semi auto goes for around 1,800 so there is no way the full auto version with a shorter barrel is 85,000
@theycallmet1m The reason an MP5 is so expensive is because they have not been manufactured since the 80s. and the last imports were in 1994. its called rarity. i highly doubt even a fully auto kriss would retail for more than $5k. the other costs to consider are tax stamps and application costs which reach into the $5-$10K
this is at a gun store in Las Vegas. automatic weapons aren't illegal there...so you can walk into the gun store and rent one if they'll let you, just like I did.
@bigredtruckfromal whose the idiot that said its 85000? goddamn how stupid can people get. the highest ive seen for s submachine gun is about 2 to 3 thousand
@zombie133 Full autos are also legal in Canada the only catch is you cant transport it to a range and unless you have a private indoor range are Grandfathered in (cant get it if you dont got it) then you cant have it unless its police military or a company..
That price sounds arbitrary however fully automatic weapons for civilian purchase are very rare, it's not uncommon for full-auto AK's to cost $25,000 and more.
@Otacon237 i forgot that you cant buy full auto guns made before 1988 or something so i guess the full auto version of the Kriss is never gonna be in civilian hands. But im sure it can be modded to full auto ;)
True, but not legally as far as I know. I'm starting to doubt the $85000 price tag in the description though, the site says it's only for $2500 or somewhere around there for the select fire version (LEO/MIL only of course).
yeah, but kep in mind this gun is only a prototype, not fully in production, and has revolutionary design. those were .45 rounds goin about 1100 rpm. besidesthat i agree with you...85000 is quite exessive
