  • I'm in enigma :D

  • At first I thought, that oh Paul Gray he was just the bassist, slipknot will carry on. But then i actually though about it a relised that they have all just lost one of there best friends and one of the founding members of the band, and it must of been so weird for them to perform without him. So I completly understand where Corey is comeing from and i would rather them wait to do another album and it be amazing, then for them rush it and it be rubbish and unfinished. R.I.P Paul Gray.

  • Give him space guys. He wanted to continue Slipknot im sure. i love Slipknot and Stone Sour. Slipknot with out Paul doesn't really make sense to me either. 9-1=8): Everyone needs to back off. He will focus on Stone Sour, Until he is ready for more Slipknot. This could be the next Iowa. Maybe heavier. I will wait years for more Slipknot. I believe in him.

  • I heard a Stone Sour song, I think it was "Mission Statement" idk, but it was on a NFL halftime show. I was like "YAAAAA"

  • @florisaartsen and that makes you a shitty fucking fan.

  • corey? do watever u want, and ill luv u 100% eitherways

  • Slipknot's best days are over unforunately!

  • I dont understand how he can say that he isnt as attached to Knot as Stone Sour! is he trying to get out of Slipknot because he know longer feels that hatred?

  • With Paul's passing it's only going to improve the art im sure we all love, it will give Slipknot a venom like never before!

  • cory FUCK OFFFFFFF comon we are waiting fore u fore u comon maik a new slipknot album ur promoting stone souer to fucking much WE need u whit what did u got more mony wel FUCKING SLPKNOT u see all the other band guys are LEAVING STAND FUCKING UP

  • @florisaartsen lol bro, learn to spell.

  • i love corey 2 bits even named my daughter taylor after him.i respect him so much+luv slipknot+stonesour always !

  • i want to meet him so badly

  • Wonderful interview!

  • of course slipknot will make another cd eventually, but without taylor..... itll b nothing, sorry joey

  • @mesolovely1 So true, Corey's unique voice makes it.

  • @Yellowmarine92 and if they made an album without corey it would be a huge middle finger to the legacy that they made with paul

  • @mesolovely1 That would loose half of there fan base!

  • @Yellowmarine92 and i also know that clown wouldnt let that happen lol, so we just have to b patient

  • I really respect the Stone Sour side of Corey, but i respect the Slipknot side of him even more. R.I.P Paul...

  • white ninja fuck u paul grey wrote 95% of the songs they needed paul

  • they might wait another 3 years before they make another slipknot album.

  • I fucking hate the Sonisphere buglaria organization people that ruined our chance to see those guys live.. i just hope they pick themselves up and continue with slipknot..and i do get what he's saying.. without Paul its not going to be the same and probably will be a little weird..We all miss you buddy.. keep rocking alongside Dio and the Rev and all the other guys we lost during the years..

  • Look at the Avenged Sevenfold they have made new album and stuff. But still i guess it is hard.

  • @SPSguy836 how can you even compare slipknot with Avenged Sevenfold. Just no!...

  • @tinytops1 um ok?

  • With out corey as slipknot singer? then there is no slipknot left Paul sure he was great but not that a big lose compare to Corey But! the thing i will miss the that Paul was the one that wrote most of the songs to the albums that is the big lost from him

  • I got to be honest, Corey does have a point, if I were in his shoes, I would to feel that after all this of being a full 9 piece band, to suddenly being only an 8, 1 year later rushing into making a new album is waaay too fast, don't get me wrong, I LOVE slipknot, Im a huge fan, but for Corey, I'd say the rest of Slipknot should consider their best singer wanting to focus on what he feels is right.. Corey has not ever said he'd leave slipknot, so thats the bright side, he's just not ready.

  • Slipknot without Corey will never never make it he may not be a founding member but his vocal style along with Mick and jims and joeys playing style is what made them what they are along with pauls song writing ability you break Rhodes elements off with comments about continueing without people and it is a reciepe for disaster

  • your a fag now...i used to love you and then you just think negatively against everything you did in the past other than stone sour...the past is equally important as the present and future because it's art of your life and at that poit it was what mattered and was what you wanted. you mean to tell me if you never joined knot you would enjoy singing like an everyday rock singer with NO fans nor the bad ass reputation of someone who sang for the most kick ass metal band ever...fuck u i'd suck

  • JOEY JORDISION THE DRUMMER HAS SAID THAT THEY WILL MAKE ANOTHER ALBUM WITH OR WITH OUT COREY it sucks cause im one of the biggest fans ever

  • listen guys i find it hard to believe that Slipknot is never gonna release another album. It'll happen one day. Back in 2003 Corey had a similar kind of attitude about Slipknot, but its just gonna take time for a new album. Its gonna happen just not anytime soon.

  • Ok so to all the people that have been getting pissed at me for what i said about Corey listen up alright. Slipknot has been a big part of my life for a pretty long time and the fact Corey was sayin all this stuff about Slipknot really pissed me off because of the fact that my favorite vocalist ever had been sayin shit like he didn't want a new album and all that shit so I apologize to all the people who got pissed but i guess I just didn't get my point across how I wanted

  • For all the people that have been pissed off at Corey and that are Slipknot fans, he has confirmed on his twitter page that Slipknot will be playing a US tour.

  • Corey, do what you love the most. Stone Sour is just as good as Slipknot. I loved the new album Audio Secrecy. Yes, we fans will not really understand what you and the band is feeling. If you leave the band, it does not matter to me. You will always be sic no matter, because the lyrics will live forever and that is what counts the most. The songs you all put your everything into will be forever through loyal understanding fans.

  • i dig the Ziggy Stardust tattoo lol

  • I understand where Corey is coming from to a certain level. Paul Gray was a vital organ to the band, he 'held the band together' Corey said. I think they just need time to deal with the fact that one of their musical geniuses is gone, although I dont like whats he's saying about Stone Sour being more special to him than slipknot. Slipknot was a bigger success than stone sour. I just think Slipknot was when Corey was angry, and now hes getting older and more reserved, he apreciated Stonesour more

  • HAHA corey cruciffied indie bands .. i love you man!

but i gotta say i think hes wrong about many slipknot fans hating stone sour...maggots are so opened minded like he also stated once..

somert tells me hes afraid of someone in the band falling off the waggen due to paul gray (r.i.p) with all the talk of...not getting to pushy

  • HAHA corey cruciffied indie bands .. i love you man!

  • He's not leaving, he's just taking some more time off right now but Joey and the rest of the guys said they are ready to make a new record in 2012, cuz thts what he said at the Golden Gods.

  • I dream that one day my neck will be as awesomely mammoth huge as his.

  • 0:05

no corey, you're not corey from stone sour, you corey from SLIPKNOT

  • do you people know about coreys life...stop being like this, if it ends then it ends, thats life.

  • @whiteninga775 corey is a artist and artist tend to get stagnate . i feel that he is just trying to broaden his horizons. he is not trying to get out of slipknot he is making a name for him self. now dont think i am bashing slipknot, but i am sure corey knows that slipknot brought him on the scene. but lets not forget that stone sour was a known band in iowa as slipknot was and was coreys baby way before slipknot was every apart of coreys life and he would've ''made it" with stone sour

  • man its a shame. Ever since vol. 3 it seems coreys just been looking for ways out of slipknot. He never has any positive things to say about slipknot either. it sucks. i understand pauls death took its toll on the band and i understand what a huge part paul was but i dont even know anymore regarding corey. I doubt slipknot will ever make another album as much as i dont want to think that it just seems like corey doesent really have anything left for the band...hopefully im wrong. time will tell.

  • I love Corey, but Slipknot made ya famous dude. You wouldnt be half as popular without Sliknot. Slipknot is so much better then Stone Sour it hurts to even say em in the same sentence. C'mon Corey, wake up.

  • @thewhitegirlblues kinda hard to comapre tha bad cause they aint really simuilar

  • Comment removed

  • stone sour and slipknot are both amazing bands. anyone who disrespects them needs to just shut the fuck up and stop bitchin

  • @CrimsonKingReturns What the fuck r u talking about I'm not disrespecting anyone's taste in music I fucking love their music

  • Corey says that he was never that close to the Slipknot guys to begin with, and then makes it sound like Paul, one of the aforementioned Slipknot guys, was his blood brother. Sounds like a cop out. Hopefully the European tour changed his mind.

  • after the tour, corey said he feels alot better about the future of slipknot. meaning the tour went well. said he would be open to recording a new album within a year or two. but not right away. thats all. slipknots not going anywhere. everyone chill the fuck out.

  • "I'm an enigma" o_O haha

  • @123threemoreone listen... YOU need to chill the fuck out. He has a point Paul loved the music Paul loved the guys he was there brother and would have wanted them to continue, since this whole thing Corey has been a complete pessimist so shut the fuck up and ofc they cant replace Paul however they are now in the works with a person friend of Paul and the band Donnie Stelle. So before you go running your mouth like a deuche bag think before you fucking speak.

Thank you and have a good day.

  • @123threemoreone calm the fuck down dude. he isnt saying anything in disrespect to corey. slipknot in my opinion is much better than stone sour and stands for something much mopre. corey always has said that slipknot is about the fans and yeah paul has already been replaced so stfu. paul was the best bassist and obviously left his mark on slipknot but they need to move on for the fans sake

  • wow whats up with everyone turning on corey..true maggots won't turn on any member of the band.anyone who says they are a maggot and talks shit because the band might stop isn't a maggot at all.. NOTHING lasts forever..i am a true maggot and choose to respect corey's decision to either stay or leave.. if the band stops i won't hate on them.. i will continue to listen proudly!!!

  • @123threemoreone I AGREE WITH YA!!! IT PISSES ME OFF TO HEAR PEOPLE SAYING "FORGET PAUL AND GET A NEW GUY AND MAKE ANOTHER ALBUM... SOUNDS LIKE POP MUSIC TO ME! THEY WILL MAKE A NEW ALBUM WHEN EVERYONE IS READY AND EVERYONE HEALS FROM THAT WOUNDS. PAUL WAS A HUGE IMPACT ON THEIR MUSIC AND HELPS WRITE A LOT OF IT! COREY IS AMAZING! Go watch the fuse.com interview/documentary on him. its called "Mad Genius" people need to see that and realize who he is.

  • DOESNT ANYONE FUCKING GET HOW HARD IT IS TO MOVE FROM SHIT LIKE THAT!!!!! IF YOU HAVE SLIPKNOT TO PUT OUT ANOTHER ALBUM THATS BETTER THEN THEIR LAST ONES GIVE IT TIME. IF YOU KNOW ONE SHITS WORTH ABOUT HIM YOU KNOW HE DOES IT FOR THE MUSIC AND ITS HIS OUTLET. IM A SLIPKNOT FAN LOVE THE HELL OUTTA THEM AND LOVE SS JUST AS MUCH!!! BUT SAYING HES DONE WITH SLIPKNOT BECAUSE HE WANT "FAME" THATS BULL SHIT! GET YOU HEADS OUTTA YOUR ASSES AND REALIZE WHATS GOING ON,

  • I've never seen someone beat the bush so much o.o. That bush has to be beaten to a pulp with the amount of interviews Corey has done like this >.>

  • He should just tell us he wants to quit. That's all I'm getting from recent interviews he's been doing.

  • Corey said numerous times in this video that he isnt afraid to talk straight so I'm gonna do the same. The guys in Slipknot including Paul and Corey always said the fans were the most important thing to the bands creativity. If that's true then as long they still have a fanbase they SHOULD make a new record at some point. Now I respect their loss but if they wait too long there is a chance that fanbase could go away and it'll never happen. Im prepared to wait but please dont hold off that much

  • @risetodemise and look I'm not sayin I don't like Corey I think he's awsome

  • @risetodemise ..... Somone

  • @risetodemise Clown is the only founder left in the band they WILL find so

  • @risetodemise yes Corey is talented and yes anders sucks but that's not my fucking point my point is that corey did not start the band or come up with ANYTHING so he's not the main essence of this fuckin band.

  • @risetodemise OH MY GOD! U r such an idiot u don't understand at all what I am trying to get through ur thick fucking skull do u. THE BAND CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT COREY

  • @risetodemise please explain to me how I am fucking talking bullshit you fuckin asshole

  • @whiteninja7775 I haven't blindly started swearing at you so calm down! He has been widely regarded as one of the greatest songwriters/vocalists of all time and has two famous bands as well as a multitude of successful side projects! Anders, since leaving the band, has done nothing! Why? Because Corey Taylor is on a completely different level, the band made it under Corey not Anders! The only other member of the band to have anywhere near as much success elsewhere is Joey! No Corey,No Slipknot!

  • Only thing I did notice, he says Hey, this is Corey Taylor from Stone Sour but doesn't mention slipknot!

  • @risetodemise I don't think u got anything of what I just said through ur feakin head

  • @whiteninja7775 That's cuz your talking bullshit!

  • im proud 2 say im in the cross section between slipknot and stone sour

  • @risetodemise I'm pretty sure I'm not THAT wrong the only reason that Jim and Corey get along is because THEIR band is Stone Sour not Slipknot EVERYONE else in the band is positive about their future. Corey isn't Slipknot Paul (RIP) Clown and Anders were Slipknot Corey is more attached to stone sour because it's HIS band Slipknot can plenty function without him Corey does not make this band

  • @whiteninja7775 Paul was a huge creative part of the band! HLosing him is going to take time to heal! The only reason A7X released an album straight after Jimmy died was because they were already working on it! I think Corey's rigth in the way that it needs time, it would be disrespectful to Paul to just carry on as if he meant nothing! Anders is leagues below Corey! If it is the end for Slipknot, it's best they go with a bang as the 8 left, than fizzle out trying to continue without Corey!

  • I'm a crossover fan actually Corey! Slipknot have been my favourite band for the last 5 years but since coming across Stone Sour they have quickly passed Slipknot! I understand what he means by the diversity, When I hit play on Iowa, I know I'm getting an hour of serious heavy shit, whereas if I put Audio Secrecy on shuffle, I don't know what's next, It could be the more metal songs like The bitter end or Unfinished, could be be a lighter song such as hesitate but I know I'll enjoy it all!

  • @maggot4life57 thank u thank god someone finally FUCKING agrees with me

  • look at metallica and avenged sevenfold, 2 great bands who lost a band member, did they quit? no, they carried on going, so why is corey being such a pussy about it?

  • THANK YOU COREY TAYLOR! FINALLY SOMEONE SPEAKS THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS CRAPPY MUSIC SHIT!

  • I like his reference to Metallica. He is right.

  • I like this interviewer lol

  • I like this interviewer lol

  • did James Hetfield act like a 5 year old girl when Cliff Burton (RIP) died? No he fucking picked up the bottle of whiskey and gave the fans and Cliff what they wanted. Now Corey is betraying every slipknot fan and Paul Grey. I used to worship Correy but now I can't wait until Joey and the rest of the band kick him out of the band, get a new singer and he lives with the shame that he left behind the best thing that ever happened to him.

  • @profanious I understand your anger and why you feel betrayed by Corey, but I just think you're looking at it too directly from a uninformed fan (**) perspective. As Corey said in the interview, there are a lot of people expecting new albums and tours but in reality it's only been a year. That is just no where near enough time to get over something like that. I just think they need more time, more comfort within the band, get back on their feet in maybe another year or two and they can produce..

  • @profanious ..something really brilliant, then they can look back at it. I know what you're saying, Paul's personality did give the impression that he would want to go on, but as I said, it really isn't that simple.

Going back to (**), I do not mean uninformed as an insult. I mean come on man you saw that there is something(s) behind the scenes that people don't hear about that's catching and stopping the progression in healing, you saw Corey wouldn't go into that. Give it time and we'll see! :)

  • @profanious People are different. If you know James Hetfield and how he was raised it's that he is supposed to suck it up and get on with it. Whether he's doing the right thing or wrong. When Cliff died James started drinking and the whole band did. They drank and played music. That's how they cope with loss. James must be a stronger person than Corey. All people are different though.

  • @profanious CLIFF WASN'T THAT CLOSE TO METALLICA. These guys have taken way more shit in their lives. How often has Slipknot changed band members? Now compare that to Metallica. These guys are more than paychecks sharers: they are brothers man. You have to understand their pain. Cliff didn't garner as much compassion as Paul could.

  • is corey taylor from otawa canada?

  • @13rcdude Des Moines,Iowa

  • This is so fucking stupid I'm so attached to Slipknot and I looked up to Corey for years now I'm losing respect for him he's just trying to get out it seems. Paul would want another album and Slipknot is (in my opinion) one of the best bands ever and if they break up I'll be totally lost and feel betrayed. I wish he would see that the only reason he is famous is because of Slipknot.

  • @whiteninja7775 You are right dude!!!

  • @whiteninja7775 Hes in deep pain man. Paul was REALLY the essence of Slipknot. He didn't say he is not making a album. It's just, how do you continue so soon when the main essence of slipknot is half gone(clown is still alive)? Look up NY ink Corey Taylor. He fucking breaks down because of Paul's death. They WILL NOT BREAK UP! Corey even mentioned it in many interviews.

  • @whiteninja7775 Hes not looking for fame, hes looking for other people to enjoy his music with him!! i dont think it would be right if slipknot went as much as i love slipknot, he can put all his passion into stone sour!!

  • @whiteninja7775 i agree with you

  • @whiteninja7775 this guy is so fuckin talented we'd hear him whatever! Slipknot/Stone Sour or not. One of the best vocalists and songwriters ever. I felt your pain but now we know they're back its all good. And i get to see him and the rest of the (sic)ness in 2 weeks. But i dont foresee many more albums from the Knot, hope im wrong, along with the millions of other maggots.

  • @whiteninja7775 You are so so wrong! You don't know what goes on behind closed doors! Corey has always said, even before Paul died (RIP), that Slipknots members didn't get along the way Stone Sour did, and Jim has backed that up! Paul wasn't just a huge part musically, he was a huge part in how the band got along! As Corey said, WE can't understand what losing Paul is like for him and the band and he is being uncertain because thats the best the future is! Corey makes Slipknot, not the other way

  • @whiteninja7775 Well i disagree because like he said in the interveiw he lost his brother his best friend its like when a7x lost the rev the wounds are still there but they got up and finished theyre album but slipknot has been around longer and theyve been been friends since childhood i cant even imagine the pain theyre going through.

  • @whiteninja7775 most fucking definiley dude. fuck that Paul wouldnt want them to quit out. i hate to say this but avanged sevenfold is above them on this matter. Rev died and A7X is still going. fuck man. depressing times

  • @whiteninja7775 dont loose respect till we actually have it confirmed that slipknot isnt having another album

  • @PureRocker101 why would that even cause you to lose respect.anyone who gets pissed off and talks shit about corey because of the possibility of the band ending was never a true MAGGOT!!!!people need to get it through their heads that if Corey doesn't feel right making another album that he isn't betraying anyone.the band acknowledged on many occasions they wouldn't last forever.but they also state when the band ends the LEGACY and MAGGOTS will live on

  • @whiteninja7775 i do not understand why people say slipknot sucks or metallica sucks or megadeth sucks why are people soo biased towards other peoples music for no reason it does not make any sense disrespecting other peoples taste in music my former bff once said to me slipknot are devil worshippers which is not cool at all to say about slipknot but im no longer his bff me and him had a falling out with each other due to taste in music

  • @whiteninja7775 really, he would of been famous either way, Stone Sour would of made it just as big

  • @whiteninja7775 There will be a new Slipknot album, with or without Corey. As much as I love respect Corey and want him to continue with Slipknot another part of me wonders if Corey was eventually replaced in Slipknot it would not be such a bad thing

  • @whiteninja7775 Do you really think he gives a fuck if he's fuckin' famous? His music is his art and if he doesn't feel like his Slipknot art is at right place now with Paul passing away almost 1.5 years ago, he shouldn't do it. I'm sure he can't resist it so just give it time. He wouldn't care if he were playing the Iowa bars for his whole life. And I'm pretty sure Slipknot got famous because of the whole line-up. Without Corey, no Slipknot. Why would it be different without Paul?

  • @whiteninja7775 so did i but he has said hes starting to warm up to the idea...after playing a phew shows..i think hes gotta change his mask...and like start fresh....help him see it aint the end

  • @whiteninja7775 so did i but he has said hes starting to warm up to the idea...after playing a phew shows..i think hes gotta change his mask...and like start fresh....help him see it aint the end he will get over it..its how I deal with death too so i can understand

  • @whiteninja7775 As corey said he lost his brother and you need to respect that

  • @whiteninja7775 wtf corey taylor isnt just famous cause of slipknot stone sour is another amazing band plus he has junk beer kidnap band (jbkb) and he wrote a book i mean corey is my idol but he isent just famous for slipknot

  • i love slipknot

  • Corey is awesome.

  • shit i love both slipknot stone sour

  • Donnie Steele will be the new bassist, I hope..... WE WANT SLIPKNOT!!!!!

  • The problem is with this interview is. Alot of us hardcore Slipknot fans are rushing the band to get back and tour and make new albums again. It's sad what he is saying but it's true. I want them to continue more than anything. But if and when they do it will be a few years down the line. Slipknot are larger than life to milions of us. But I respect Corey Taylor being honest. But I reckon He and Slipknot will carry on forever they god damm have to. But it will be a while before they do :'(

  • @DrummingAli93 Dude, utter respect, my thoughts exactly.

  • yeah fuck that. everyone saw what A7X did, within a little while of the passing of the Rev (RIP) they made a badass album, because they had love and respect for the Rev, to me, Corey is using Pauls death as a way to get out and do his own thing, which if he wants to do his own thing, thats cool, but he should at least make a tribute to Paul, show some love man for real

  • Sweet, Corey is awesome, because he has open mind and can talk about things with his own opinion,

    cheers

  • Mad Respect For Corey, Glad To Rep My Slipknot Tat!

  • Corey kinda reminds me of Dane Cook. am i alone

  • i fucking love slipknot and stone sour... but imo Slipknot can go on without Corey and Jim. i'm not saying i don't like Corey and Jim, they are awesome and influenced me as a musician but Slipknot can keep going

  • corey used to be my hero....now hes basically forgetting about slipknot....wtf....slipknot is what made him famous in the first place...hes forgetting where his real band and real followers are

  • joey jordison said in a interview that slipknot will continue with or without corey taylor.

    I hope he continues :D

  • now slipknot make shit. it starts in 2001 (after IOWA issue) we eatin slipknot's shit like nameless or vermillion or fuckin psychosocial (WTF DUDES ???)

True slipknot fans wanna see stuff like (Sic) or Purity. you can make tears in Stonesour !! stop TEARSONG 4 slipknot !

  • @JobjobFrog Grow up. They've matured out of the 'fuck the world' phase and they wanna explore new realms of music.

  • @Retrocharizard

    NO NO NO !!

*new realms of music* they can do it in theyr own side projects - SlipKnoT wac created like full rage of motion. of HARD soul. truth of life.

  • @JobjobFrog dude. They are all close to 40 or above it. listen to the new songs, there is still a lot of rage. Just more political and more refined rage unlike full blown. It doesn't have to be screamo and have fuck in every phrase to be full rage. They still speak the truth of life. They have just refined their sound. Its not like they do not play their old songs. You need to mature with the band like many fans have.

  • @Retrocharizard

i think they got to came back to Ross Robinson.

  • @JobjobFrog No. they never confirmed that. It is likely. Ross Robinson knows they have matured as well.

  • @Retrocharizard

'cuz Ross is squeeze all of theyr hearts! they have SIDE projects to make a dumb teenagers cry.

  • @JobjobFrog For the last time. Grow up or stop complaining. Their new material is BETTER and more sense in my opinion. But I like all their albums. Dumb teenagers. Shows how much you really know. Corey also doesn't want to blow his voice out 100%.

  • @Retrocharizard

i am not complaining - just hate those last 2 albums/

  • @JobjobFrog Then Do not say they make shit. That's just a terrible way to speak an opinion.

  • @Retrocharizard

they began to shed tears, it's not their style. I think so

  • @JobjobFrog

    false. slayer did.

  • I am actually looking forward to the fact that there will be no more Slipknot records! They srsly suck and people are just too deaf to realize this. Don't get me wrong, Stone Sour is alright and Corey seems like a good fella but the whole slipknot shit-tastic band thing upsets me in it's most fail attempt at being 'metal'.

  • @LittleSerboLamb that's your opinion. I love slipknot and there are countless people out there who do too. It may be too heavy for you, but that's just your problem. You're missing out on an extremely intense band with a huge sound. Amazing drums, and of course vocals are also involved. To be honest, all the members of the band are great at playing their respective instrument

  • @FfCompHelpfF child...I'm into whitechapel, suffokate, and all that jazz. I can handle 'heavy' bands. Slipknot isn't really what I'd call heavy. I used to be really into Slipknot, so I'm not 'missing out on an extremely intense band' haha!

  • the interviewer looks a bit like sacha baron cohen haha

  • the dude makes a good point of todays music and downloading

  • "who wants to risk their money on misic that is inevitaly crap" well said corey. i've bought every stone sour and slipknot album i have (amoung ither bands) out of respect. <3 love

  • He blushed so hard when he asked about Velvet Revolver xD

  • "Well... STOP SUCKIN'!"

I had to pause the video. I was laughing too hard. xD

  • Comment removed

  • Very good interview, i like how he is talking about both stone sour and slipknot, both are amazing bands. and i also like how he isnt in it for the money and writes music from the heart and mind because he loves to do it.

  • did corey get fat??

  • The interviewer was great, he knew what to ask and where he stood in it. A very well done interview. Corey is greatness.

  • My god only when you watch these interviews do you see that people you idolise such as corey himself are actually normal people, and you see how committed he is and how much of a genius he is! This is why i love metal! this is why i love corey! Stay Sic and always keeps it real headbangers ;) \m/ respect to all those who can truly appreciate good and honest music \m/

  • this may not be true but i get the vibe that corey used slipknot to catapult him in the music industry so that he could be a success with stone sour.

  • That just shows how little you've really kept up with the guy as opposed to the music and how little you know about him. Sure, there's a limit to how much you can really "know" a guy, through only having gone to concerts and a trillion interviews, but if there's one thing that is CRYSTAL clear to me, it is why corey joined slipknot and it has completely nothing to do with what your vibe is telling you.

  • @geitepung please elaborate on why you think he joined Slipknot. but please dont tell because he was a "angry kid". i say this because afterall he was in Stone Sour before hand and could of easily gone down the same path but more of a hardrock version than what slipknot did

  • Corey joined Slipknot because he needed diversity, which in the end, is the same reason he re-joined stone sour. Corey is among the most multi-dimensional musicians I've ever seen and for him to be stuck with just the one band and sound, would never work for someone like him.

  • So no, it wasn't because he was the "angry kid" as you call it, but that being said, growing up without a dad, living in 15 different states over the course of few years while suffering major drug addiction usually means you are what you'd call an angry kid.

  • here is what i got from this interview - corey wants out.i dont think he wants to be with slipknot anymore. he wants his own fame with stone sour. i love corey and all but i feel like he doesnt care about slipknot anymore. and if he left slipknot wouldnt be anything wihout coreys voice

  • @L2Pno0b Seems very true sadly.

  • Slipknot is already dead, regardless of wether he stays or not. People don't seem to get this, but Paul WAS slipknot. He wrote the two first records pretty much by himself along with Joey and has always been the guy with the idea. There hasn't been one album cycle, where people aren't going apeshit cause they're not sure if Corey is going to stay or not, never Paul. Now, I LOVE slipknot, but when it comes to their fans(not pointing fingers), I think they are some of the dumbest creatures alive.

  • @L2Pno0b im not dissing ur opinion or anything but how could you say that?after one of his brothers died and ur trying to say that you think hes just gonna forget about that band and leave it?no what hes trying to say is that hes not ready for a new album and he just doesnt think its right.just give the guy some time, i dont know if ur a maggot or not but if u are u should understand that its gonna be hard to get on stage and do an album. and yes it would be different without corey taylor

  • @L2Pno0b i don't think fame has anything to do with it.

  • @L2Pno0b in all honesty i think slipknot should end as it is now, maybe write a few songs for paul then end it. Dont get me wrong i love the band, but now is a good time for them to call it a day and all mutually agree to just leave the nine in our memories as what it was, not what they may end up doing to it. No one wants to see videos in a year or 2 years time with people arguing who they prefer as a bass player for the knot.

  • @atticus0011 You've hit the nail on the head. I absaloutaly agree with you 100% .. And all the guys in the knot are not the young men they once we're ... They've matured alot since the IOWA era. And that was what slipknot was all about. Soo yes, leave it as it is. We have a whole 10 years worth of evolution. growth.. of each member. And memories. Noone could possibly replace the knot. But they'res always going too be that group of kids searching for that outlet... saying nomore.

  • @atticus0011 yeah but i don't think people would argue about who they like better. Yes, paul was an amazing bass player, but it's not like we can ever get him back. Look at Metallica: Cliff Burton died after they released their true classic album, and they forged on. After Jason joined nobody ever said "Cliff's better, they should have just quit," fans embraced the band and the music became the soundtrack to remind us of a fallen hero. That's what music is all about. They should continue.

  • @L2Pno0b He definitely wants out. And without Corey, there would be no Slipknot so I reckon this Summer tour could be the last we see/hear from Slipknot. Which sucks as I am a massive Slipknot fan. But I fucking love Stone Sour so I'm not too pissed about it.

  • @L2Pno0b Umm, dude, I think it's not that he doesn't care, but that he is not into the aggressive nu-metal style that was on slipknot's first two records but into more experimental and more traditional metal derived stuff ..

  • @L2Pno0b Well u have to understand they have had the same members for 10 years and having one of them be gone like that is hard, I know if that happened to me I would be conflicted about continuing a band.
