  • If he runs for president, i'd vote for him. This guy is badass.

Fuck Ron Paul, Jack Cafferty 2012!

  • Jack is awesome. Plain and simple.

  • Cafferty is a local legend here. I was born in Reno. I was raised in Reno and Vegas. My dad was a managing director in a major gaming company. His casinos were located all around the state, so I would fly back and forth every week. Reno's schools are better than Vegas', so I went to private schools in Reno and flew to Vegas most weekends. Vegas has quite a few native celebrities and bands, but Reno only has 7 Seconds (which is AWESOME!) and Jack Cafferty. That's about it.

  • Jacks job is news and he knew that about 6 months before the USA illegally invaded Iraq, Colin Powell was on national television saying that Iraq has no capabilities to attack the USA and has no capabilities to attack their neighbors around Iraq. Jack knows that... it was news... and that is Jacks job to know the news. Jack blames the unions which is ridiculous,, but I do agree that they should have let GM collapse.

  • I'd like to see Cafferty debate Christopher Hitchens. Now that would be interesting!

  • Jack cafferty is a man. He doesnt care what side of the political aisle you;re on, he will come after you if you deserve it. Unlike those jokes like Hannity and Limbaugh.

  • Ala the RIght's version of Olberman and Maddow

  • This is great!

  • I loved it when Cafferty called the Chinese government goons and thugs and they got all upset about it lmao.

  • Cafferty says it like it is ! We all had the wool pulled over our eye's regarding the war.

Lied to and then when everyone started to balk, the Republicans twisted it to " you're not supporting our troops ".

We support our troops, but we do not support being lied to !

  • Good work with the apostrophe use.

  • jack cafferty is a beast! one true guy!!! the only news stations i knew he was on before being on CNN was on WNBC 4

  • A great man.

Terse, witty and entertaining to listen to.

  • dj jack cafferty!

  • yea i gotta sample that

  • i love jack more than i love pie

  • IMPOSSIBLE!!!

  • Pie is pretty delicious man.

  • Jack is right about the UAW and the pensions. But WHY did GM management agree to these terms? Did GM management have the intention one day just say @#ck You, we aren't going to pay up? If true, shouldn't they be punished? Why do the wealthiest always seem to get away with that? Jack forgot to mention: Reagan lied about everything: Iran-Contra. But also: the 1987 Stock market crash, and the near tripling of the national debt. He grew the government--all the while railing against government.

  • Good interview, but also shows Cenk doesn't always know everything he thinks he does. Don't get me wrong, I'm a TYT supporter and think Cenk is awesome, but sometimes he is blinded by his own bias and does exactly what he criticizes others for doing. Cafferty rightfully corrected him on the UAW culpability and the fact that pensions are pretty much a rare animal these days. See the exchange beginning at 10:43 and Cenks poor comments at 10:56 and 11:02. I was like WTF!!!???

  • I HEART JACK!

  • Jack was a dj.... aweee :D!

  • jack is great

  • Jack is a dying breed of journalism.

  • HAAH, CENK IS AWESOME

  • I normally agree with Jack however he is wrong on this one!

  • Great interivew!

  • stfu

  • Get em' Jack!!!

  • pensions don't exist anymore....they push 401k

  • aww look at cenk, gettin down with the big boys. well done sir.

  • Tomorrow's TYT interview: PRESIDENT. BARACK. OBAMA!!!

  • not funny, dont get my hopes up

  • It could happen. But Cenk needs to get MSNBC first.

  • Jack is the only good thing about CNN these days.

  • I'd add Lou Dobbs, but yeah.

  • Jack should leave CNN really hes waay too good for them..he's much more MSNBC material and then the 10pm slot to The Young Turks and MSNBC would really fuck CNN in the ratings ...I know for a FACT some people just watch CNN for Jack !

  • Still like Cenk.. smart and witty, sometimes I find myself falling off my chair. . a hidden gem.....really hope he does get a spot on a network.

  • Ironic that he mentions his "retirement" money at the end, when earlier he blamed the UAW for their responsibility for car company "legacy" costs... What a hypocrite!

  • The economy is based on infinite growth. But the resources are almost gone. It cannot last, period, that is what is coming to people's awareness. Also, why send zillions to have troops all across the world to kill and maim other people. Reagan???? war criminal....Iran Contra, star wars, waste death mayhem... gross this guy Jack i yet another populist phony pushing a book....

  • Blaming the UAW for "legacy" costs is absurd. Workers made the cars. What about the gazillions in profits that went to a handful of individuals?

Jack sounds like another millionaire talking head. At least the interviewer called him out on that nonsense amidst the general adulation.

  • Trying to blame UAW??? Sounds like an extreme capitalist millionaire talking head to me... that was absurd. If it weren't for unions and the labor movement, there would still be seven day work weeks for children and adults paying back the company for their rent and food.... Glad Cenk said something to that at least, amidst the adulation.

  • Cenk should have asked Jack if he gets along with Lou Dobbs

  • jacks always straight to the point with no bullshit and let me tell you it is so refreshing. what a great american

  • MSNBC just announced the new host...it aint you...they gave it to Ed Shultz

  • Schultz is hosting a 6pm show. Not the 10pm slot which will be held for Olbermann reruns for the time being.

  • Ed Sultz is getting the 6 pm time slot Cenk is going for the 10 pm time slot.

  • dumbass

  • I like jack, he's a very no nonsense type of guy. In order for politics to make sense to alot of us common people, we need people like Jack and Cenk to deliver it with some passion as they two gentlemen do. Excellent!!!!!

  • JACK! love him.

  • Jack is cool. He said he is Wolf man's Jack. lol

  • Cafferty is one of the best things CNN has going for it.

  • what a great interview....much peaceful than some of the other ones, both Cenk and Jack are respectful of eachother's opinions and thats something you don't see enough of anymore

  • LMAO @ the thought of Cafferty starring on a kids show

  • Cafferty" "Quiet down you little bastards and listen to this Davey Crockett record"

  • dude - what world are you living in? i'm sorry, but Palin's ignorance has no limits. if you think she's an intelligent woman, then i pity everybody who has to put up with you in real life.

  • might as well be a haiku.

  • I'm so sorry that you have been brainwashed to this extent.

  • =o/

  • -15 rating.

    Yep.

  • I see everyone agrees with you.

  • I forgot how old he is... But he looks great for his age. And he doesn't even look all knifed-up like the other old guys from the news.

  • Wow for a radio show they get such fantastic guests- I've loved this guy ever since he first dissed Palin.

    JACK! CAFFERTY!! Of CNN!!!

  • It was Jack Cafferty and Cora-Ann Mihalik on Fox 5 New York

  • Jack Cafferty is the mans n them, lol. He used to host Fox 5 news in NYC when I was little :)

  • great interview TYT 4 life

  • Go to Cenk's interview with Lou Dobbs...

    /watch?v=CcWULkhm15w

Listen at 9 min., 42 sec. of that clip. Lou's publicist yells "no!" after Cenk asks last question.

Classic. Jayar played it for Cenk yesterday after the interview with Cafferty.

  • I grew up with Jack Cafferty on WPIX News. He was always a straight faced, serious news reporter. Very respected.

Now, he's sick of all the bull, and lets loose about it on the air. It's great. I'm really glad he decided to share that side of his personality!

  • i love how pissed he was about Palin. I was laughing as hard as possible but yeah, he's pretty cool.

  • Gotta love Cafferty. (especially when he grilled Sarah Palin during the election, lol)

  • Jack Cafferty is what Bill O'Reilly pretends to be. Blunt and honest, no bs or partisanship

  • and he does it without any histrionics. Just dry, sarcastic, annoyed humor.

  • we need more "no bullshit" reporters like Jack.

  • If only... Sadly he's part of a dying breed (quite literally). Bullshit on the other hand is timeless...

  • All I see on this channel is a grotesque amount of people who don't understand US history, don't understand American law, & have a barely vague understanding of government's role in society. And if that's not enough, you are all ridiculously vulgar on top of everything else.

And all the while, your government keeps usurping your rights, your individual liberty, and that of everyone you care about.

  • Your description fit well for most american...

  • i like Jack Cafferty. i like "the other people's opinion" part. A mostly useless money laundering entity (AIG) going down would not drag the economy down. The entire government was using the Enron business model. i'm still pissed off because of the false flag 911 business. I can kind of see the "professional logic of denial". It is the "job" of leaders to try to lead-foot world business. World leadership seems to want to mine civilization of its wealth.

  • God I love Jack Cafferty. Imagine what it would be like if the majority of our journalists were like him and the minority would be these idiotic douchbags we have now?

  • BREAKING NEWS:

    Palin milks Sean Hannity's nuts!!

Sarah upset upon discovering Todd and Sean together.

  • Jack Rules....He killed Palin during the primaries

  • Because it was not a physical killing.

  • Nobody even heard of Palin during the primaries.

  • I think the person meant the General Election. That's when he killed her. LOL. I thought you were being obtuse for a second there as well.

  • I wasn't reeeeally being obtuse. I knew it was a pretty innocent mistake. Still, I made a quick comment to point out that there is a difference. Someoen then thought I was defending Palin for some reason. I then felt compelled to respond again and explain the difference between primary and GE. The original poster DID say he made a mistake in confusing the two, and DID say "my bad." Case closed :-)

  • Miguel you are badly mislead and Misinfrom.. I wasn't talking about a physical killing but he nailed her on her badly misknowledge of foreign policy...

  • I'm not misinformed. I was pointing out that Cafferty never said anything about Palin in the primaries. That's because Palin was a national NOBODY during the primaries. McCain picked her as running mate after the primaries, to everyone's shock because practically nobody knew about her outside of Alaska.

Do you understand the difference between primaries and the general election? If not, I guess you're the one who is misinformed.

  • Not the primaries but the GE your right My bad....I mean the GE he did it during the GE

  • if your country wasn't so scared of "big government:" omg communism, then u would have already had health care and government run pension plans, everyone would have it, and the costs would be lower

the reason why ur costs are so high is becuz the government has to compete with private businesse

  • really , hmm , look at the banks, actually big business is a major failure only religious nuts think it works so well, it has failed in prisons etc

  • In a truly free market with limited government interference, businesses succeed or fail on their own merits. The banks had no compunction about making bad loans because the government was insuring the failure of the loans. If you've ever run a business in the US, you are aware of the constrictions imposed by the tax structure and government regulations.

People come to the US for freedom, including freedom from oppressive government control.

  • really in a truly free system there would constant job losses, fears of such losses cause people to lie, cheat and steal, the belief that business works all the times and is best is a "religious" idea

one out of ten small businesses succeed, and all the rest and their employees out of work, all business does is steal ideas and info to force a nbeleifs in themselves, the reason the car industry failed was lack of predictive power of the artificially subsidized oil industry and specualtion,

  • You have no idea what you are talking about.

In a truly free system, competence is rewarded, incompetence is not.

Do you even live in the US, or maybe you're 12 years old?

If you think the auto industry was a disaster before, just wait and see what government control of it will produce.

WTF does "religion" have to do with the discussion?

  • "In a truly free system, competence is rewarded, incompetence is not. "

Tell that to the executives who made a fortune while bankrupting their companies. In a free system it isn't competence that is rewarded, it is power.

  • The current banking fiasco is not an applicable example of what I am referring to. Of course in any business, corruption will ultimately be detrimental.

I was referring to the more micro personal responsibility aspect of free markets.

We haven't had a truly free market system since 1913.

  • This isnt a fight you can win. The Govn. runs plenty of things and they seem to work find. The only people that think an out of control free market can do right is robb you blinde. Look at health care.

  • large programs have been always the purview of govt business is short sided, short term profit no long term gain, the only thing big business does is rob people and keep the system top heavy

  • You didn't name one thing because you can't.

  • runs your life pretty well since you don't even know it

  • true carboy the reason we have healthcare cost problem IS big business

  • That's interesting. My father was a physician for 40 years and he seems to have the opposite opinion.

But then, some thirld world yahoo must know more.

  • Many governments run superior socialized Health Care systems. Canada and France spend half as much per person, yet their people are much more healthy.

If you want to look for something positive that the US government has done, take a drive. The US has built one of the best infrastructures of roadways in the world.

  • it isn't "cheaper" when 30 million ppl don't have health care

  • No it isn't. These unfortunate people are forced to put off preventetive health care and eventually wind up in the ER which drives up medical costs. It just isn't. It isn't logical.

  • private health care allows for millions of ppl to not have health care and then they end up in the emergency room and cost tons of money

with socialized health care u get less of that

so private health care is more espensive than socialized health care

  • jack rules
