  • The drummer is wearing his own band's shirt? Great music, but that's never not lame.

  • @aryabame

ones using a telecaster and the other one is using an ovation viper.

  • is that Telecaster or jazzmaster?

  • first time i encountered this band, looking for their CD now! DAMN!

  • This drummer has such a fantastic style, he's awesome.

  • nah

  • How about everyone stop arguing over the INTERNETand enjoy some good music?

  • it sounds like classical music, in that it changes 'moods' quickly and the focus switched between the different instruments all the time...thats what it sounds like to me at least

  • 11 people suck

  • i can hear this music again and again...omg this is amazing.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 11 people don't know what music is

  • 2:59 ... Your soul is speaking, let it talk.

  • @madpuppets its called MUSIC isnt it exhilarating haha?

  • i swear at 3:00 the guy looked like he jizzed while banging his guitar

  • @xio323 think how the guitar would feel if he didn't finish? it'd just be plain rude..

  • 1:15 man, that drummer really gets into it. i wish i was that passionate about something. darn my teenage apathy. =P

  • This band should play a huge epic concert in Japan for the survivors of the earthquake

  • I really hope these guys are okay given the recent tragedy that hit Japan.

  • @fuwafuwariin im gonna say just the same as you did. hope everyone is ok!

  • @fuwafuwariin They're fine. They said so on their Facebook page.

  • 10 people doesn't understand the word "PASSION"

  • @jerobussio lol. Welcome to the world. Japan has amazing musicians. Check out Mouse on the Keys.

Toe is the greatest thing ever..

  • @6crimson6 i will!

  • Thanks Iruka ;)

    cheers from Brazil.

  • 10 people who are utterly retarded.

  • @javlaranama or their enemies!

  • @myrkvarg just listen to the beauty of the drums, then you can feel the energy, then you can vibe

  • @myrkvarg ...feel bad for you

  • @Ibanez2546 No need to, I enjoy energic music

  • @myrkvarg It's as if you don't have a soul

  • @Krinku1 LOL, because I don't like boring, repetitive music? It's all a matter of taste, ever heard that word before?

  • @myrkvarg Kinda have lol, guess I shoulda been more clear with the sarcasm since it is the internet.

  • @myrkvarg You clearly don't know how to listen if you think it's repetitive. I suggest you check out their other stuff, it's all really amazing. But you like "energy"? This band provides a lot of energy, but I guess you don't comprehend it because you're too focused on the rock n roll sound. You have a very flawed philosophy on what music is. These guys work as a solid unit and are compositionally complex with each instrument, rather than just have a lot of the easy flash that rock tends to have

  • @myrkvarg By the way, you are a rock historian? All rock music is incredibly repetitive and pretty much uses the same song structure throughout the genre. Is that not repetitive? The lyrics and general sound may change, but its the same - I can tell where the songs are headed even in songs ive never heard. And I do listen to a lot of rock, because I enjoy the sound, but I at least appreciate other music that goes beyond what is common and is more complex and passionate yet still easy on the ears

  • @GottaWatchShit If you really claim this statement to be your personal opinion, you're either trolling or you have to be completely ignorant. No, the sound of rock has always evolved and transformed into new levels of experimentation. Rock today cannot be generalized as repetitive, because it is so extremely diverse. Post rock, however, stopped during the evolvement and became generic, and make most bands sound exactly the same. Most of them!

  • @myrkvarg Blah blah blah, I don't care. I appreciate music, and I realize how diverse rock is. I just think that you're an idiot, and any credentials you may have when it comes to music is bullshit if you are closed-minded and stupid. So let me end this here by just letting you know that you're the ignorant one, man.

  • @GottaWatchShit By telling me that I'm ignorant because I don't like your band makes you the ignorant one, dipshit. You go listen to your monotonous bullcrap and let others actually like music... Retard.

  • @myrkvarg If only you were a troll. You're so fucking stupid it's boggling my mind. This is my second time ever even hearing this band. Fuck you and everything you stand for. You are an enormous faggot. And I don't mean it in the queer way. I mean it in the "hey, you're a faggot" way.

You're a lying sack of shit. Or the dumbest historian I've ever heard of. You even came back to argue over some shit posted weeks ago. Get a fucking life.

And learn your god damn theory, douche.

  • @wstone2010 Are you fucking kidding me? Another one of you imbesililian fucktards ? What the hell do I lie about? You're the liar, dumb little shitkid. Go fuck your mother or something more productive than come with something completely non-related yelling to a person you don't know in an argue you don't have any clue what's about. And I came back because this dickface below started replying again, yesterday, because he is, like you, a retarded little faggot without a life and with a small dick.

  • @wstone2010 And you learn your damn theory, you illiterate narcissistic little hipster-fuck. I'm tired of you whiny ass kids who just couldn't leave it be with my one comment in the start. Get the fuck out, youtube-retard. You're tough-mouthed on the internet, but I bet you're just like the rest of them, a tiny little nerd with emo-hair and enormous glasses, and no social life. You're either the worst troll ever or possibly the stupidest person to exist. Talentless hipster-moron.

  • @wstone2010 Do the world a favor, don't stick your ignorant hipster nose in conversations you have no clue about or make false statements towards people who are superior to you in every single way possible.

And I never said this music was bad btw, I just said it was boring. Is that so hard to accept? That others have different music tastes than you? Narcissistic little ass.

  • @myrkvarg It's funny because you're so wrong yet so convinced you're right. I'm 6'1" 230 and an amateur power lifter. I work construction in the one of the companies my family has owned for thirty plus years. I was voted friendliest two years ago when I graduated from my high school. My head is buzzed. I won a lot of awards for football and wrestling, also. And I play guitar for fun. Jazz, post rock, tech death, and since I live in Georgia lots of country :) enjoy that failshake!

  • @myrkvarg Damn, you actually posted three whole replies just to me? I'm so proud I inspired you! If you want me to prove anything (minus the penis) I can totally let you see a few pics of my big ass, possible with one of my many friends! :D Just let me know, bud!

  • @myrkvarg Wait, wait, wait. Did you really tell me to go fuck my mother...? I believe you also called ole dude a dickface? Wow, dude. That's intense. And very mature. And I'm calling you a liar about being a historian. This isn't even an argument. It's some douchebag getting shit talked by everybody for being a douchebag. gtfo of here lol you've gotta be jokin

  • @GottaWatchShit Oh dear god, you gotta be kidding me. You know that you're talking to a guy which life evolves around prog, jazz, jazzrock and experimental music ? My main focus is on talent and how much music a band is capable of making, and depth, skills on an instrumental level and the skills of songwriting in a complex structure, and of course how the material transforms into completeness. This (and most other post rock) however, has none of my criteries for music in general.

  • @myrkvarg No energy? You know who really has no energy? Your mother in bed.

  • @6crimson6 Fantastic how you tend to shit on your own leg by posting stupid replies with no meaning. And yes, no energy. Boring shaite. Sounds like everything else in the genre.

  • @myrkvarg You're really putting your foot in your mouth. Earlier you said you don't enjoy this kind of music, you "listen to energetic music". So don't come in here acting like you know everything about the genre. You don't like the song, that's fine. Youtube has millions of other videos, you're free to leave this one whevener you want >_>

  • @Theblob516 And the reason why I reply is because fruity morons like you just can't shut up and still tries to attack me with stupid comments. And being a rock historican, I know a little more about this genre than you actually suspect. So don't come to me with your "I know better than you"-shit, because you're the one putting your foot in your mouth here. The reason why I commented at first was because a friend of mine recommended this to me and asked me to reply what I thought. So let it go!

  • @myrkvarg You're obviously going to get flamed on a music when you say something negative about it. And of course, you're a rock historian, I should have known. I'm not going to waste my time by writing about how much I seriously doubt that. But who knows, it's always helpful to make other people feel like you have some sort of credentials, so watch me as I let it go mr. rock historian.

  • @cheli this is off a split Toe did with Pele.

  • 1:28 Now THAT'S what I call an eargasm. Just plain fucking awesome.

  • these guys have the time of their lives playing such wonderful music

  • If you liked these:

God Is And Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright

This Will Destroy You - Freedom Blade.

    You.Will.Cry

  • This is amazing.

  • The complexity of happiness

  • music is a drug. and my fix is toe.

  • oh my god so amazing, love the drummer

  • Mmmmm.... 9.

  • Toe is a very creative band. Their arrangements are so unique especially their combination of chords, notes, and structure of the song. Also, they don't need to use words just to express their songs, what they are using is their passion and that what makes them "Toe". :D

  • damn...so freakin good...

    great band

the drummer..i wish i had his skills...he makes drumming look so...easy...

    maybe someday =D

  • dark and fresh!

  • So so so so so so... I just Love it.

  • I call this "real music".

  • @iKlong It is good, but there is no such thing as "real music"

  • @yunsuk21 That's like saying here's no such thing as bananas.

  • @tetilt What I meant was there is no universal basis for what real music is, like how there is no universal standard of beauty. Besides that, this comment died 2 months ago

  • @yunsuk21 there are actually some universal standard to beauty like symmertry, contrast, proportionality, golden ratio, etc. any attempt to break away from classic aesthetic is just that, attempt to break away from certain universal standard, that deserves its own admiration not because it falls into any universal standard but, to the contrary, the intentionally contrarian approach.

  • @narudh

Yes, but the topvoted comment is still retarded. You don't have to be smart or better than anyone else to appreciate this music. It's just beautiful

  • This is probably the first thing Youtube put in my recommended videos that is genuinly awesome.

  • I have just discovered this band... I am so fucking glad i did! Incredible musicians! I may well have a new favorite band..

  • from what album is this?

  • @cheli Re:designed and New Sentimentality Tour Edition

  • drummer is incredible. some of the most talent ive ever seen

  • @generalgreviousseth I got the DVD recently, can you please tell me how I can see this encore? That would be great!

    BEST FUCKING HEAD BOB EVER

  • @fuwafuwacore lol half-time feel for the win

  • you guys know any similar bands to this?

  • Read the comments. On here and other Toe videos.

  • LITE are very much alike.

  • LITE

  • esta cancion y esta banda patea culitos...

saludos desde hermosillo, sonora, mexico :)

  • Euphoria (japan) sometimes sounds like this, especially the track "butterfly" from the "silence everywhere" album...i love this!!!!

  • Toe of the best bands of math/post rock ... have a special sound, i think toe and té are the only few bands that have this particular sound, and sgt. maybe with some violins sounds ... amazing music from an amazing country .. Japan =D

  • wow... :-)

  • reminds me of Tortoise.

  • shits so cash.

Music really is universal language i guess, im getting so much out of this song, and i couldnt even speak to the band hahahah

  • freakin awesome drummer indeed

  • sounds alot like the mercury program.

  • I love them both. Listening to the mercury program got me in to these guys

  • freakin awesome drummer man.

  • cremoso e crocante ao mesmo tempo... : )

  • é.

  • im thinking toe and the appleseed cast need to record together

  • like the asian version of "This Town Needs Guns"

    very cool.

  • Lol, on my media player, those two are right next to each other. Fuckin' eh.

Totally agree, but I wish they had more vocal tracks. Their instrumentals are beautiful, but the song "グッドバイ" is easily on of their best.

  • i hate to say it but these guys are 50 times better hahah. i love ttng too though, really great

  • @FUTTAHSIKK Music is not about being better or anything, it's about feeling everybody has.

  • how can someone express so much emotion without words its incredible

  • Exactly! I think any word would destroy the feeling!

  • @MadPuppets1 I agree.

  • @MadPuppets1 thats the power of post rock

  • @MadPuppets1 If you liked this you should listen to Mogwai...

  • @MadPuppets1 Music transcends language to express our inner-sensibilities.

  • @MadPuppets1 bcuz nonverbal emotion is an universal language....

  • @banabpg i was just making a statement about this song dude and music is the universal language not emotion

  • @MadPuppets1

welcome to music my dear friend.

  • @MadPuppets1 music has a quicker effect than lyrics

  • amazing!!

  • ポストロックじゃね?

  • 完全に新しいジャンル作ったと思う

  • 大人。激動。カッコイイ。

  • Anyone know exactly what amps they are using ? seems like a early 70's orange or120 head and a vintage blackface twin reverb , or is it a reissue ?

  • INSANE DRUMMING!

    GIVE IT JEFF

  • サイコー

  • What means saikó?

  • it means best

  • AWESOME

  • Look mexico is a band that sounds similar to toe and american football

  • Man, this band is awesome. They're like American Football on crack.

  • It's crazy!!

  • Beautiful!

  • La melodia!!, la armonia!! exelente composicion!! Keep it up!

  • i almost cry......

    love it.

  • Kickass drummer

  • So much style

  • 2:20!!!

  • Every song of them is very impressive. I like the melody and specially the breaks of the drummer.

  • They always make me relax. And I think I'll go back to practicing to be great at the drums... thanks Takashi Kashikura. Thanks Toe.

  • くそかっこいいわ。

  • anyone know any other bands with a style similar to this, and as good?

  • Check out Enemies from Ireland.

  • aw, they dont have a myspace

  • LITE are similar in pretty much every aspect, even geographically :P

  • the mercury program is a good way to go also

  • people often associate toe with te' and lite also. but i feel these bands are quite a bit different to be able to compare them to toe. lite is a lot more aggresive most times (i suggest starting with the pv "Ghost Dance" to get a feel for them) and te' is lot more ethereal... if that makes any sense...

    good bands nonetheless.

also check out the myspace of We Vs. Death

you might not like the trumpet but i love it! it totally works ;D

    last but not least

    the six parts seven

    beautiful stuff

  • this was a reply to alexander9213 -_-;;;

  • BUDDHISTSON

  • most definitely listen to Piglet. Search for "Anthropology Anthology" Piglet was a math rock band from Chicago. There is a band called "Owls" with a similar harmonic and rhythmic flavor. Search "Life In the Hair Salon-Themed Bar on the Island" Also from Chicago.

  • thanks ^^

  • Awesome Cinematography as well! I have RGBDVD, and Velvet Blanc isn't on it, even though I swear it's from the exact same concert. Anybody know what the deal is there?

  • It's in "re-design" album

  • Now this! is what I call great melody!

  • This is wikid.

  • man chill to the fullest xD

  • Jozu des ne! Sugoi!

  • ベーコン、私の友人を避けなさい!

  • fuck. this is great music

  • no need to swear. lol

  • if this song doesn't renew your respect for new musicians i know don't know what will. toe has perfect musical formula they are so smooth, stop-go. insanity repeat.

  • Amazing. im still surprised by how the drummer chokes up so far on the sticks. whatever works! its interesting.

  • This is absolutly great....
