@dcampean I'd like to disagree. The lack of a singer really doesn't hurt them. The emotional concepts of the song are driven through how it sounds. If anything it shows how much control they have as musicians over every single bar of the song. Sure, lyrical analogies help drive a point, but it's impressive that so much emotion can be drawn from the sounds only. Just relax and take it in man. And yes, their drummer is an animal back there.

I'll be honest, it doesn't always hurt them, but I'll be honest, Mino is not a good singer, so whenever they tried to put in vocals pre-For Long Tomorrow, it fell flat at worst and reasonably fit within the song at best.

@zetmanandbehmoth: no problem! glad you like him. i attended a drum clinic with him and his technique and approach to drumming is amazing, very nice guy too. the same goes for brian blade. i saw Brian play up close in New Orleans and his groove is great. i wish Toe would tour and play in the US, i'd love to see them play. their sound is so fresh and great. definitely looking forward to the next record!
