NBC cancelled Passions a year ago, then DTV picked it up & just recently cancelled it again due to low ratings.

when it got cancelled some fans got mad and sent like hundreds of pieces of real soaps to the channel's mailbox as a protest. didn't help :D

Btw, why is passions cancelled there now? was that because of low ratings too?

wow! ppl really loved Passions lol; yeah, low ratings, but eventhough they got a second chance, they never could get their ratings back, especially since now you have to pay to get the cable provider that picked them up.

but there are sites to watch it for free

yeah i know, i've been watching the newest episodes at CraneEstate and to be honest i've gotten really hooked. it's weird cause now i've seen only the first year (and that was 5 yrs ago)and now i'm seeing the very last few weeks of the whole show so i've missed only what... 7 yrs? :D thanks to youtube i've had a chance to see some stuff of these years though, like many shuis clips...

I read somewhere that some channel is gonna show reruns of passions next fall, do u know if it's true?

wow, you missed a lot of good stuff; i hope they do, i heard the USA network was interested in showing reruns if enough people want them (for America), but it was just a rumor.

and the Super Channel in Canada is going to show reruns from the beggining after Passions finishes up in August.

damn.. i wish it was possible to watch super channel here too, but i guess it's only in canada and cant be watched in europe... i just hope that someone from canada starts uploading the rereuns to some website, like the people at CraneEstate site have done with the new episodes, THAT would be awesome ;)

I know that seems to be our only hope; I really hope they do. There was a girl on here posting old clips & she lives in Canada so she was gonna post all the reruns but she deleted her account after everyone got that email from "Debbie" at NBC.

you mean Dreamer4EvERR? at least she posted some old clips... yeah i heard about 'debbie' but some ppl here said she was a fake, and i wouldn't be surprised if she was, 'cause if nbc really was going to sue ppl for putting epps on youtube they would send an official letter, not e-mail (especially when i heard what that e-mail was like...) or that's what i think anyway...

here in finland it got cancelled in 2003 but they had started airing it in 2002 so we only got to see like 1 year of passions, so we didn't get to see much anything fun *sigh* they cancelled it 'cause it didn't get enough viewers but that's just because viewers here are used to taking soap operas so seriously and shows like B&B (most boring soap ever)are popular and well... passions was just something totally different and people were not used to that kind of soap...

WHAAAT??? Dool is cancelled TOO?? OMG Jer is a true show killer. i can't believe what he did to shuis... i think that's what killed the whole show.

thank you...i know my mom almost died. lol she's watched dool since highschool, nothing's set in stone but they are predicting it wont be around past 2009. i dont know why they got rid of shuis either, that was stupid. passions was the only soap i really ever got into, besides days.

yeah i heard dool has been going on like 40 years or something... here they started showing it in 2003. it has always seemed like a pretty good show to me but i've never really started watching it 'cause they kind of replaced passions with it when it was cancelled, so i was just to pissed off to start watching the show that took passions' place :D passions is the only soap i've ever really liked (besides sunset beach which i think was before passions..)

i know, i think its been on here since like '65. Passions took the place of Another World in 1999; so, now Passions & Days have been the only two nbc soaps for 10 yrs. When did Passions get cancelled by you? because they just cancelled it here & now its on DTV til August.

the only other soap i would ever watch is General Hospital but its still boring compared to those 2 lol.

Omg! I only watched Passions and Sunset Beach too. Those are the only soaps that I thought were interesting. I tried watching B&B and General Hospital, but they were boring. Y&R is ok, and Dool, well, it's ok too.

thank you. i know; JER (the headwriter) killed not only passions, but now theyre cancelling the other nbc soap, DOOL which sucks.
