  • Greetings from Salt Lake City..by the way, what is the ZIP code for Luckenbach ??

  • RIP waylon jennings,

you changed my narrow minded view on life.

  • Its a real shame that we have gotten so sensitive that we have to put a big black box over a beautiful woman! what next a burka!!! Let the nannys of the world control every thing you do?

  • Damn proud to be born and raised in the Lone Star State!

  • Reminds me of when I was a little boy in Alabama. Datsun car with my mom, no seatbelt. Simple time.

  • today marks the 10th anniversary of Waylon's death R.I.P. Hoss

  • Capt. Johnathan Hillstrand looks like Waylon Jennings.

  • thanks for posting this video.......takes me back to my FFA days.... :-)

  • #777,777. Wherever you are Mr. Jennings..... Thank You.

  • Ain't much goes on in Lukenbach unless you're there on a concert weekend..then watch out!!! Actually, there ain't much to Lukenbach, period!! Lukenbach is near Grapetown!!!!

  • RIP God of Country Music!

  • I wish Motley Crue would remake this song after putting it through the Motley Machine. I think it would be awesome. Only problem is, Vince Neil could never pull this song off live. :(

  • This is so mutsh more than music. Kids listen to this and you have a quick 3 min of comon sense. :) Keep on trucking.

  • @22lamigra Yeah, I hear you. I am 41.5 (1970), and I will always love this song. My mother and father use to take us kids on vacation, and Texas was one of the locations.

As a child when I use to chime in, I thought Waylon was singing, "Let's go a lookin' round Texas..." lol

  • @22lamigra Hey, it's never too late to discover life's many treasures. I'm with you on the preference of "classic" country.

  • Call me a sissy, I get emotional hearing this song by Waylon. It brings back many, many memories, and just, it is a great produced song. Yeah,, call me a sissy, but I am 6' 4", 215, so what, men have emotions to...

  • hee haw beer pickup truck fast women and song like this iam there

  • What a great introduction when he hits the words Luckenbach Texas....Agreat hook and turn-around. Great voice....no one could ever re-do this as a cover song.It has that erieee erieee reverb on the vocal and keys. What a masterpiece. Rest my case. Oxon Hill Md. city hicks from the 60s and 70s, I tip my hat to you...Thank you guy's and gal's.

  • I hear ya bro, it sounds like Southern Rock ( and I love Linnnner Skinnner ) Spelling does not matter....If these guy's and chick's would have came out with this stuff 20 yrs. ago, they ( the radio ( would have classified it as Southern Rock no doubt!!!!

  • Does anyone know of those for mentioned individuals? Contact Hank at hanklovesongwriter17@yahoo.com or call 757-990-9035 ext.51 ask for Melissa, and leave a brief message. This is a private recorded asap#9 number that can not be governed. Can anyone touch base? WAYLON LIVES ON!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know if Lee Deal is still alive? He lived in Oxon Hill, Md. He played guitar at Mike's along with Larry Halmiton. Larry was the drummer. Is he still around? How about John Henry Deal and Thelma? Delores (Dee) McClary passed away, she was my mom, I figured I would try to reach out to friends of hers that were in the area of Oxon Hill. Diane Wilson, Brenda, Sissy, Raymond, the list goes on. Miss the times and memories will always be there. Contact: Hank ,hanklovesongwriter17@yahoo.com

  • Man, does this song bring back memories...I was just a kid when this song came out. I remember the jukebox at Mike's Restaurant, Sea Shell Restaurant, Oxon Hill Restaurant, M-n-M Bar, and the one down on Rt.410 on the right ( it is still there ) I do not remember the name. There were good people back in the 60s and 70s that were much older than me. My mom tended bar and waited on tables at those places. I was just a kid then. I remember all of the regular people there. Can anyone contact me..

  • ONE OF THE BEST PARTIES I'VE EVER BEEN TO

  • I am a musician... great mix, great production, great song...You can not beat this song with the time and era....My hat go's off to Waylon, Willie, and the engineer/producer.........I always hear something different in that song, just like Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven... No they are not the same song, but they are deep and meaningful...." ask Willie, he will tell you the same thing " The song has a sound, a peace, a character, a story, a purpose in the country music that surrounds it. HANK
