thnx(and don't eat caramel and sticky food) I wanted so bad to get my braces in seventh grade so I won't have to wear them in high school. But then my mom was complaining that my dental insurance wouldn't pay for the full price. Then we were settled and I was finally getting my braces in December. But then my mom got laid off of her job!!!Now we don't have ANY insurance! I'm NEVER going to get my braces. I'm gonna have to get them when I'm grown and have the money myself. tear. COMMENT BACK

Now, newer brackets don't need rubber bands on the bracket, they are made differently now and you don't need rubber bands.

i got braces last friday, they hurt like hell when i eat, i dont even think that i need them on my top teeth, and they're so tight on my top teeth. most people complain about how they look, idc about how they look... do you know when the pain wears off?

i never had to have braces apparently i have perfect teeth, but i dont like the fact that next year ( my junior year ) i will have to get my wisdom teeth pulled.... ugh

well it varies from person to person. I was required to wear them at all times except when eating. I did that for 2 years. I haven't wore them in months and my teeth are starting to get a gap in between them again, though not as much as before.

You might be different though, hopefully, because wearing a retainer sucks.

Cute; I agree time to take the braces off. A little gap ...no worry it is all part of being natural. There is a procedure called bonding if the gap is bothersome.

lucky for me I never had needed a brace. I almost got my teeth knocked out falling off my bicycle just the other day, I got my head up just in time. I know a girl who had to get bonding after they took the braces off probably because of the glue.

I am sure you will be as lovely as ever with the brace off.
