  • Intereesting - the rubber matt may be a bad idea

  • @trevortrevortsr2 Why do you think that?

  • @smellslikefries I have a pre WW2 CS 5 hp jobbie - when I was looking into how to fix it in place I spoke to a guy who had put a rubber matt under his and it soon reduced the matt to jelly causing belt enlignment issues - his advice was to bolt it to a huge raft of solid concrete with some rebar in - maybe he used the wrong rubber

  • @trevortrevortsr2 The rubber we use is a cow matt - used as ground cover for cattle at night in stables. Quite sturdy - I've seen it deployed for years.

  • Big lister to run a car alternator? I hope he was meaning a generator head.

  • @frosty9595 hell man you could probly run like 20

  • Where did you buy that engine from?

  • Goto woodnstuff ... wait for it ... dot ca

  • It was actually designed by the Stover Engine Works in Freeport, Illinois and sold to Lister as I understand

  • i have a old cant remenber the type but its a Hot Bulb Engine with 2 Pistons and it runs off Pure veg oil or Used also any think that is a oil that burns. But its not hook up to a generator =(. Oh wait u can use any electric motor as a generator as a Electric motor is perrty much a generator

  • looks Great

  • How is the veggi oil engin working out. Mustt put out a lot of power. Now all you need is a little solar heat to be energy indepenednt.

  • It may be a bit of a chore to buy one these days. The EPA put a restriction on buying these engines for whatever reason.

You can probably buy one in pieces and assemble it or find one that is already in country and buy it from the previous owner.

Great engines, with proper maintenance they can run for years at a time.

  • @spencnaz

They can still be purchased, but with the understanding that it is only for stationary use.

  • cool. where do i get one?
