  • Great video, thanks for the hints and tips. Lovely colour scheme too!

  • damn dude came out with a great finished result

  • very nice exost man but you didnt mention what paint you used for that looks like a bronze with badab black or something hmm.

  • @CranberryMuffinmanz i know i need to be more specific bud lol. i used terracota blazing orange and sunblast yellow and mixxed them in all over the pallet for different shades of the 3 colours.

but before i used the rust colours i painted the exhausts in boltgun metal :)

  • The Gloss Varnish didnt look bad at all, But i think maybe Satin Varnish cause its in between gloss and matt varnish. And good cal with the Silver instead of Gold for the Aquila on the front it fits the green better

  • @CranberryMuffinmanz forgot to say at the end of this video that after doing the pin wash i go over the whole model with satin varnish. i only need the gloss for the pin wash mate

  • Sweet Orcpainternerd doing some 40k Nation modeling! :-) you are going to be there hours with those rivets lol, great job though bro

  • Looks Brilliant!!

  • @jester1111 thanks

  • Very well done bud! I know how hard it is to squeeze so much information into a short vid and you did a great job.

    The tank looks awesome.

    Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

  • @TubeBkg i agree mate, and to be fair im no asjarra with the video editing i need his skills lol

  • @OrcPainterNerd - lol, let's face it, there is only ONE asjarra! He is fast becoming a YouTube gaming community legend, that's for sure!

Still, great job mate. I enjoyed the vid immensely.

  • what airbrush do you have?Compressor?where can i buy it?thanks, excelent job!

  • @gwpaints check out my old airbrush vids i go over the whole set up

  • Looks great. I'll definatley apply some of these techniques when I do up my Razorback!

  • @KillaMinis thanks mate good luck

  • Two Questions. Can you make a tutorial on how you did the highlighting on this tank, maybe using another model or maybe just describing the technique(s)? Also after you spray the model with the gloss varnish and then do all your rivet/recess shading, do you then spray the whole model with a matte varnish?

  • @SpaceWolfPainter no i use satin varnish after as it gives a much more realistic finnish

  • @OrcPainterNerd Do you thin the satin varnish with windex as well or just shoot it straight out of the bottle?

  • what kind of airbush is that im in the market need a better one

  • @BlackTemplarsSain a chaep chinnesse one generic goes by the name bd130

  • Thank you for your Tutorial. That little extra effort did help. I like how you put your own spin to it. Thank you for all your hard work. Keep it Kool and Real Peace!

  • Fabulous tutorial, buddy and beautiful job on the tank...what a massive model...great inspiration for using the air brush...thanks for posting it up...Jim

  • @Jedijim252 thank you jim and you welcome mate :)

  • really nice bro, well done. i live in England and i want to know what is the best "starter" airbrush, cheap is good : ]

  • @DeathOnToast5 for me it was a bd130 dual action gravity feed brush and a as186 air compressor with air tank. expect to pay £100 or less for the whole set up

  • Looks really nice, good job and thanks for the tips very useful. I like to use the VGC inks to darken the VMA metalics, just adding them direct to the paint.

  • @MrDustinperry snap i use there inks some times aswell in my metallics :)

  • tons o useful info here and a great lookin tank! thanks for this!

  • @Spiralvex my pleasure

  • Hey really great job. Very good pin washing examples.

  • @LobsterMustache thank you

  • awesome work

  • @Firespyer thanks :)

  • Excellent job on the tank! I enjoyed this a lot.

  • @Generalsplatton thank you phil

  • While I will never play I.G. I do really like this tank. Great job :)

  • @blackblade68 thank you

  • @blackblade68 thank you

  • Great tutorial very well done with the A B . Do you do pre-shading at all ?

  • @TheSeasonman1 yes i do but pre shading gives a more cartoony false look to a model in my opinion look at my blood angel rhino tutorial that is pre shaded it looks nice but a little carotoony depends on what look you want :)

  • now for my nxt bit of great advice use makeup kits for the weathering powders but much much cheaper and exactly same effect...! great model by the way bud super impressed ....

  • @utrinque3NDparatus i tried but the tamiya stuff mate is ace it has a tiny bit of oil in the mix so it holds to your mini in anyway you want like streaks for example with outh going into a powdery mess :)

  • see told ya bud i looked like a right nut job in tesco's asking does this product contain a dirivetive of amonia...! peeps were like wtf... lol

  • @utrinque3NDparatus lol your on the money it works amazing

  • THUMBS UP!

  • @kornickronic thumbs up soldier. well thats what captain america says lol thanks bud

  • This is an amazing video mate, straight into my favourites. This is a must watch for anyone wanting to paint vehicles. Thank you for making this video.

  • @JudgeGudge no probs mate glad its not just me adding your vids to my favs lmao

  • I alwayslook forward to your longer vids, great instructionals and very inspirational

    thanks!

  • @cyphertheory thank you bud

  • I see a spot you missed with the silver while you were working on the exhaust. I know the feeling of setting down a color thinking your down only to move onto the next and notice one tiny piece that got over looked...so frustrating isn't it lol, but I think its things like that which make having the model finished all the more worth it.

  • @wakcedout you eagled eyed man you are well spotted lol

  • @OrcPainterNerd not a problem, ive only been in this hobby since august 09 but its been little stuff like that i learned to watch for. yet i can agree that with a model of such size as that one the odds of missing one tiny bit of detail are increased. nothing frustrates me more when working on a model epsecially if im assembly line painting is when i go 2 steps ahead only to see a spot i missed lol. i would assume that after painting that little piece there is nothing else lol:)!

  • What model airbrush is that?

  • Respond to this video... bd 130 air brush and a as186 air compressor

  • Great video, thank you for sharing. Its going to be very helpful in the future.

    and again Great Tank.

  • @TheCelsork thank you

  • very insightful video! Thanks :)

  • @jonathanburr89 thank you mate and sorry about the commision if you you something smaller doing in future let me know :)

  • looks vary nice bud

  • @3000whitedragon thank you mate

  • Very nice video. Thanks! People say to make the paint the consistency of milk. Do you kind of do a bit thinner than that?

  • @SpaceWolfPainter i do a little thinner in my air brush but it is what ever works for the individual

  • Looks like you forgot to paint a hose (metallic) at the back that is connecting the tank with the drums. If the tank is facing you it's the bottom right hose.

Thanks for the video, it was overdue in my opinion. I missed those =)

  • @bazZy33K yup i hate missing spots but it happens bud

  • OH SNAP SON!!!!! the beautiful green gets its own vid awesome :D

  • @kurumaSMASH thank you

  • Dude, any chance you can pick me a bottle of that stuff you are using for thining? I should give it a try. Does the paint take longer to dry? Ill sort you out sunday mate.

  • @MarneusAugustaCalgar nope dude it dries in second in fact it drys quicker bud as the amonia evapirates quicker than water... ps thought i told u about that stuff months ago...???

  • @MarneusAugustaCalgar no probs mate will pick you one up :) i found it dries quicker and thins the paint better than vallejo thinner lol. only draw back is it makes the paint more delicate so a varnish after painting is essential :)

  • nice :D

  • @louisgworld thanks :)
