It's about mayonnaise. The joke is that the guy's wife is what you'd expect to see behind the counter at a New York Deli. Hence the "mayo with a NY deli flavor", as it says at the end.

Personally, I think it's great, though they probably should have had a voice over to point out the reason for the deli clerk. Or maybe I'm just thick.

it was pulled in britain becasue the product is high in saturated fat, sugar, salt etc. although im sure that the whole "gay" thing may have influenced the desision slightly.

Amazing. We had this ad in Britain, nobody even raised an eybrow. So much of the world lives in religiously indoctrinated dark ages (especially the US and the middle east).

In Europe we are mostly atheists if we graduate from school, have little animosity towards different ways of life. Of course there are pricks, but fewer and less dogmatic. I pity you all.

.....the point is that you are wrong in saying that this video was aired in Britain and no one raised an eyebrow. They did. Other posters claimed it was because mayo is unhealthy, but the protest was over the gay content. I'm only disputing your claim that Britain is somehow more "enlightened" and tolerant of LGBT people than other countries, because they *were* upset by the ad.
