that's a lovely advert :) how come they banned it? It's not a bad thing! If a woman were making the sandwiches and kissing them and stuff no one would care!! THIS IS THE FUTURE, this is gonna be happening a lot now in our lives!
It's about mayonnaise. The joke is that the guy's wife is what you'd expect to see behind the counter at a New York Deli. Hence the "mayo with a NY deli flavor", as it says at the end.
Personally, I think it's great, though they probably should have had a voice over to point out the reason for the deli clerk. Or maybe I'm just thick.
hes called "mom" casue the point of it isnt that they are two guys who have children, its that the mom in the family can now have the skills of a new york deli owner when they use the premade spreads, its nothing to do with gay rights, when you strip it down to the basic message.
What was the huge fuss about. I don't remember seeing the ad, but I can't see why it got pulled. I mean, the "mom" thing is really offensive, but I've seen worse.
it was pulled in britain becasue the product is high in saturated fat, sugar, salt etc. although im sure that the whole "gay" thing may have influenced the desision slightly.
Amazing. We had this ad in Britain, nobody even raised an eybrow. So much of the world lives in religiously indoctrinated dark ages (especially the US and the middle east).
In Europe we are mostly atheists if we graduate from school, have little animosity towards different ways of life. Of course there are pricks, but fewer and less dogmatic. I pity you all.
....this ad was pulled in Britain specifically because of complaints that it was inappropriate and offensive to see two men kissing and that it raised difficult questions for parents. The high fat content was not the issue. Look it up before you make condescending remarks.
.....the point is that you are wrong in saying that this video was aired in Britain and no one raised an eyebrow. They did. Other posters claimed it was because mayo is unhealthy, but the protest was over the gay content. I'm only disputing your claim that Britain is somehow more "enlightened" and tolerant of LGBT people than other countries, because they *were* upset by the ad.
Perhaps they were upset, i have not checked and i assumed that it was an ad from the states because of his accent.
Still, wtf are you getting all bunched up about. Oh, thats right, you are an American and you lot have not worked out that the rest of the world hates you all.

Who are you, the comment police?
What does the fat content have to do with my post?
I still pity Americans at large, but now i pity you most of all.
