I just got this for 3DS a couple of days ago, and I'm surprised that this is the final boss. I mean, he's kicking my ass left and right, and I'm watching this because I thought I was doing it wrong (he makes no sounds when hit, for God's sake), but I thought I was just on a particularly hard boss, not at the end boss. Huh.

This game is hard as hell. As in hard to beat. The farthest I ever got was the cave level where those spiders fall from the ceiling to try to kill you.

I still love this game and I first played it so much when it came out. Not sure if many people know, but if you beat the game twice without shutting off the Gameboy, you can then stage select what level to play on. :P

I use to know everything about this game that I had actually planned on creating a full walkthrough before you the internet was even known for normal people. :P Was going to be written as a book... XD

It's like THE oldest version of Mario Land. You should be able to find it in those old game discs that are grey with 45 games in 1 disc

This is the final stage of "Mario Land" or rather, "Super Mario Land". The best method to beat the machine gun at the end is to focus on avoiding the bullets, but just ram your A button like there's no tomorrow. Don't even bother looking at the machine gun thing or else you'll get killed. Good luck :) I beat it in half an hour with 35 lives remaining :]

B)died on levels that held more than one blocks that held hearts

C) always got the 3x on the bonus rounds

To the guy who asked...I believe an emulator is basically a transfer of the game over to PC. Well, something like that, but I don't know the technical details of how they do it.

some emulators do have built-in recording functions. I believe I was using VisualBoy Advance, which has this function.

I didn't use any tool assists, this is pure gaming skill.

No he actually wasn't. This game was developed by Gunpei Yokoi's team instead of Miyamoto's.
