I had a starling named Skooter I raised from a baby. He found a mate and I see them still hanging around the area. I live in Wisconsin so I'm suprised to see they haven't migrated. Last year there was a starling that fell down my chimney in the middle of febuary so I suppose they don't all migrate? There is plenty of fish that wash up along lake michigan so maybe they hunker down for the winter somewhere warm like a factory tin roof and just eat the fish? I hope my Skooter makes it alright.
Awww I love your bird, what a beautiful and talented starling. Would you believe that all over the US and here in NJ where I live the Department of Agriculture is poisoning these beautiful creatures? Man can be so cruel! Just do a search for poisoning starlings.

@musique1975 They make great pets but they are messy. They require animal protein as in insects, dog food, eggs. I also give them fruit and veggies.

@Kjredtail His mommy built her nest under the eaves of our house. The babies fell out when my husband was pressure washing.
