Absolutely right man you're on-point but another thing, aside from your point, also consider the general life skills you gain from a higher education that will be with you for the rest of your life and help you everyday not just at work. Psychology to understand and deal with people better, or economics to help you hustle through the struggle. The extent all depends on the person and what they study so keep everything in mind and figure it out for you're situation.
