  • do u know where i can get tabs for this?

  • @MrNerd88 or cld u message them to me?

  • I think this is a brilliant tune and you play it well... the guitar type is perfect..is there a backing track please if so... I will give you my email address ..many thanks.. Simon

  • THIS KINDA BLOWS

  • Bert published this classic Hank Grady tune in one of his early books of music. The book also included Arthur Smith's equally classic 'Guitar Boogie Shuffle'. The book was titled ' Francis Day & Hunter's book of Bert Weedon guitar solos'.

I bought my copy back in the 60's and still have it. It's no longer published but I've seen it in book sales etc. Probably available on Ebay. The book also includes Apache, Teenage guitar & Guitar in orbit. (The latter two are much less known recordings).

  • Great playing and sound - and on a fabulous vintage, classic guitar. (Not many of those to the pound these days!!!). Bert played one for quite some time. I used to have a Wasburn J3N which was great for rockabilly and boogie-woogie but I never got anywhere near being able to afford a guitar like the one you're playing. Great stuff. Thanks.

  • that is pure rubbish.. beginners crap!!

  • @vinnothelizard I'd like to see the beginner who could rip this tune off as smoothly as this. But as you say on your channel that you hate music, then I doubt that you're in much of a position to judge - especially as there is no evidence of you uploading examples of your own artistry with the guitar.

  • Bert Weedon was one of my guitar hero's when I first started playing in the UK.A great example of where he was coming from.Playing melody isn't that easy.He and Hank Marvin were my early influences.Great to hear good ol Bert. Thanks

  • beautifuly played , really enjoyed thanks ,, very nice guitar too , perfect sound for that style.

  • I would like to get the sheet music for this piece. If anyone has it or knows where I can get it please email me at murrayarmstrongcontracting@msn.com

  • @MrMud1993 :: Go on Ebay if not there now it will turn up sometime thats for certain.

  • awesome guitar

    I like the immense headstock

  • @guitarDouchebaggery THE LARGE HEAD YOU LIKE IS CALLED A "FROG HEAD" AND IS ONLY FOUND ON VERY EARLY COMMITTEE'S. AFTER THAT THE COMMITTEE WAS MADE WITH A LESS ORNATE PRESIDENT HOFNER GUITAR HEAD. A BIG MISTAKE IF YOU ASK ME! JOHN

  • @spamount028 you're right, they should have kept the frog head, it's really something

  • @spamount028 learn to turn off caps lock

  • great!

  • I have a Hofner committe but want to get rid of it.

I don't have the original pick ups. (Seem to have lost them) Is it worth anyhting? The action is too high. Great sounding guitar though....sounds like guitars on records.

  • @Wongywong I'll give you 500

  • Hi Bert

Yep its you!! big part of my life!! I remember the tea time shows on the Tele you were always there !! guitar teachin too. and the fastist player of that time !! so many notes per minuite!! lol I remember it so well ! styles have changed and guitarists have took it to another level but without you we would NOT be where we are now!! tons of luv,,Ian..( i'm still playing your tunes !! luv um!! )

  • This is Bert Weedon playing. I have the original 45.Eddy.

  • Shouldn't be too hard- unless the neck has a warp in it. My Senator has a fat neck, but it's straight, and it has a lower more comfortable action than my friend's Gibson ES 335.

  • Really good looking guitar! Cool tune too!
