Great video. Made my first trip this past weekend. In Montauk, it's not a question of if you'll catch a fish but when. Glad I had a van staal and a light rod with the constant casting. The last thing you need is sand in your reel when the blitz is on

this video shows the true dedicated guys like me and what it takes to have the guts to fish in montauk. intimidating yes. satisfying when you finally hook up even more so. truly one of the most beautiful locations on the planet. but when you put a full day in you will feel it at night. everything is sore and for some reason you cant wait to do it again.

It is all hype. You can not fish at night, on the beach without a town permit. I had better striper action at Riis Park. It is a tourist trap. You pay double for 'fresh' bait.
