I don't see anything wrong with her accent .. Then again, maybe it's because I am Chinese? Haha. Still, I don't think it sounds like how a native Chinese speaker in English sounds like at all.
i have this and it is no lol matter u lost all of u u cant rember who u were before. abd u r left lost . with some people making funn well i tell u sweets think how would u want to wake one day and be some one eles .ur voice well cahnge a bite as u heal but u dont become who u were she is a strongh woman to go tho this i have had for almost 6 years and it is a feeling u never want. dont make funn sweets of us it could be u .
Nobody else seems to find this as hilarious as I do? Can I just ask if this is real why would she lose grasp of simple grammatical English such as saying "sound" instead of "sounded" and "last" instead of "lasted".
@iswearnothing I'm taking psych now & we learned about this recently. Depending on the area affected, either Broca's or Wernicke's area, you are unable to grasp certain aspects of language. I think if Broca's area is damaged you lose some ability to express yourself. You can read & understand fine but you'll have difficulty speaking or you'll speak in a diff language or not speak at all. I'm not sure if I have it completely right as I'm still only a high school student but i hope i helped.
This is just a speech impediment that sounds a bit like different language pronunciations here and there. She sounds slightly more like a deaf person.
so strange. in addition to the strange accent-like slurring of speech, she's also speaking in broken English at times. i wonder if she ever got better.
I have a Chinese-exchange student friend... and yes this is how she speaks. So if you are Chinese and say "this is not how some Chinese people sound" -go suck an egg- yes this is how some Chinese people speak. Especially Chinese people who have learned British English.
@pcalling12 Foreign accent syndrome doesn't actually give you a foreign accent per-se, but it sort of just "breaks" the part of the brain that generates an accent, and the sufferer ends up with a wierd-ass accent that sounds to other people like its foreign. So its not REALLY a chinese accent or eastern-european or whatever but it sounds to people like it could be.
It's clearly not a chinese accent and as she states, she's left with an Eastern European accent, not chinese. I guess CHINESE is way more fascinating for the media, lol.
She says that her friends and family are ok with it, but her pooch is probably trying to tell her something; is the dog... 0:57 the dog may be a bozoi or maybe a tibetian terrier.
.
She may get the message from the dog when she tunes into that particular language one day.

She shares some traits with Chinese who are moderately educated and speak Mandarin. When they speak softly and clearly, they sound kinda like her.
