  • All i have to say to everyone on this topic is give God a chance to come into your life. Be patient and pray. God has a plan for you in good and bad times. I promise everyone who reads this it will happen.

  • wow.. i'm in awe.

    what a great role model.

i mean, it's hard enough as christians to live in this world.

but to also be one in the NFL is something phenomenal.

i know there are so many pessimistic people out there when it comes to God.

but i hope, as Christians, we don't encourage their pessimistic attitudes.

nor view them as "less" than us.

that we would invest time into people.

so we can learn to love all unconditionally

&& also to encourage them :]

  • BTW, I do respect followers of Christ and his "philosophy on life(as I said I believe it is.)" But whether you believe it "literally" or not, you still get the same results.

  • I(personally) look at the bible as a book of philosophy. I am open to the "man in the sky" thing, but I dont "believe" it. Saying I believe it would be a huge stretch. Not to mention, it isn't something you can choose, you either "believe it" or you don't. I am sure alot of people who say "I believe Jesus is the lord" dont truly believe it they just "think it." I think you have to "feel it" strongly to believe it. Would you "die for it?" That is belief. I have a lot of respect for Dungy.

  • No matter what your views on Christ or your religious beliefs you have to give Tony Dungy credit for having the backbone to stand up there in front of all those people and say what he believed in. And to Lumpagogo--How can you tell this man to stand up on his own and put away his "crutch?" The man is brilliant - one of the greatest coaches of all time - I seriously doubt he was using any "crutch" unless you're referring to power of Christ, which, must have worked. The man won the Superbowl.

  • What a great message: Even you can make your son a scapegoat for your problems.

  • not so good at coaching your son, eh?

  • Dungy has a big mouth

  • I am in complete awe. I was looking for motivational speeches and I know I would find one from an NFL coach so I searched for football speeches. I found this clip and it is not what I expected. But, I LOVED IT!!! Tony Dungy is the man!

  • Please read: HER NAME IS MS. ANN (On You Tube). It will impress you and change your life! It's by Rev. James Manning. He speaks the truth!

Michael vick should tell the dogs he strangled that he will bring them back to life first, then talk football!

  • I am not a fan of the Indianapolis Colts (not since they left Baltimore anyway), but how can you not respect a man of such integrity? I see Bart Starr is also at this breakfast, and he's a class act, too.

  • In response to Jinxed1982's comment:

    amen! praise the lord!

  • Coach Dungy and Coach Gibbs are two of the classiest people. They have both been tremendous examples for their players and fans alike! May God richly bless Coach Dungy and Coach Gibbs in their much deserved retirement.

  • Wow, we'll miss you Tony. You made such an impact on the NFl and inspired so many great up and coming coaches like Ken Whissenhunt and many others. You set the right examples in how to be a good human being and how to lead a team respectfully. You never acted out when things got tough and you kept to your morals. That's why you will always be the most admirable coach ever to coach in this sport. Enjoy your retirement!

  • Why can't he be President of the United States?

  • He could be! He is a great man. He will be greatly missed by the colts. Not for his coaching but the constant inspiration this guy most have been.

  • per Jinx:

Yup, all you gotta do is talk JC-nonsense and you're in. You have to be a phony-baloney believer in the infantile. The Moslems have their own god and they hate the bible. Guess what-- they are all "psychotic reaction"-guys. Tony Dungy--stand up on your own, mang. Put away that crutch.

  • I am a believer and I feel the difference in in my mind heart and soul this is NO CLICHE when God's holy spirit comes to you will know that does not make me a perfect person at all but some things I used to do I have no desire to do anymore as evil as this world may be there is no way evil can defeat God's holy sprit and the devil knows it no matter what you have done accept Jesus the reward will pay off believe me and believe in HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hands down, best coach in NFL history. What an example for our American culture. He's the man.

  • @jfice76 there is no evidence to support that he is the best coach in history.

  • Although I am an Atheist, I think Tony Dungy has class and is a great coach.

  • Best video on youtube!

  • he plays the most honorable football any man now or ever will play in there life.

  • dungy=best coach in the nfl. Period.

  • I think it's great that God uses people in so many different ways.

I think Tony does a great job here. I just got done reading his book, and out of all the sports type role models out there, he is the one that kids SHOULD look up to.

  • Wow, I'm a believer and I'm also a humongous football fan love the Mannings, about 2 months ago my fiance left me, and it's something as simple as seeing this man who lost his son talking about how awesome God is, to really put into perspective the important things in life, and not to let negativity control things

  • Note: there is no distinction between any of God's messengers (peace be upon them all).

  • Note: There is a MAJOR distinction: Only Jesus is alive and lives in the hearts of every believer. He died to benefit all, even those who don't believe. However, only the believer has full access to those benefits. Try Him, you'll like Him:)

  • The miracles of God are all around us, but many perceive not...God was never born, nor did God ever give birth, and there none that can be compared with God...there is no god but The God, Lord of All Creation; and Mohammed is God's prophet & messenger...there is distinction between any of the prophets (peace be upon them all), as all of them were guided by The Lord of Mercy, The Giver of Mercy.

  • Thank you Tony for sharing what was on your heart. You speak, giving God the glory. What an awesome God we serve. Your speech touched my heart. God loves you.

  • The drive-by liberal sports media only wanted to talk about his race, Tony just wanted to talk about Jesus. He gives the glory to God.

  • that is just too great for words...

  • wow, this is amazing..

    <33

  • Amen! Brotha is a living letter that testitifies of Christ in his living. The power comes from the living and that's what makes his sharing enjoyable and edifying. Amen.

  • As a parent it is a tough dealing to lose a child but GOD has his reasons and GOD has a path for all of us. From every bad comes even more good and we may not see that from the start.GOD REALLY IS AWESOME and it is ONLY THRU HIM that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE and all we have to do is to ASK and to follow HIM.Thanks for such an awesome video and speech! GOD really is GREAT! May we all see that and EXULT HIM DAILY!

  • Who says Christianity is only for the weak? I hope this knocks some sense into America. Its awesome how God has put Tony in such a amazing position to share the Truth with the world! Now get out there and share it guys!... God bless you tony.

  • Congratulations and thanks Coach Dungy for the great witness. I have emailed this video to both saved and unsaved. My hope and prayer is that from this many people will come to trust Jesus Christ as their one and Only personal Saviour. That they will know the blessed assurance of their eternal life in Christ. Romans 3:10,23, 6:23, 10:9 John 3:16 & Epesians 2:8,9.

  • After watching the video I told our six year old son that he(Dungy) is the Colts coach and that he is helping people have Jesus in their heart. He said "What job is the job he does the most?" I told him he gets money for coaching the Colts but telling others about Jesus is a more important job but he doesn't get any money for it. Way to go Coach!

  • Thank you Tony for your witness and your willingness to share your tragedy and how that has given you greater faith in our Lord Jesus Christ but all of the honor and glory go to God for His great love to give His son for all of us.

  • Politically correct? You bet. This country was founded on faith in God. I commend Tony for publically speaking of God and salvation offered through faith in Christ. God bless you, Tony.

  • I used to live in Tampa and started following Tony Dungy then. Thank you for this great testimony, which has so many messages for us all. I am thrilled you have won the SuperBowl now, but even more thrilled that you are even bigger in the Bigger SuperBowl, His Kingdom!

  • Congratulations GOD IS GREAT AND MY STRENGTH AND POWER. AMEN

    A Kashif

  • Good luck and God bless my Brothers in Christ AMEN

  • You give our nation a lot more hope with your testimony. Thanks for coming out and speaking what you believe.
