  • very informative,thank you.

  • Actually, the James Bond character wears the Planet Ocean model...not the Seamaster. Two very nice timepieces you have though. Both competent, durable and prestigious... I'm partial to the Omega though.

  • @BigBlue0002 james bond wears the omega seamaster planet ocean.... so technically he does wear a seamaster, both of you are correct

  • turbo311 agree with you about ball watches look very well built and they have that tool look

which i like am always looking at a local jewellers window which has ball watches will have to make the plunge and buy one!

  • how come your omega hasn't anti-reflecting thing???

  • @waltergheist It does, on the inside of the crystal only though. The Breitling is on the outside and inside.

  • what are your thoughts on patek philippe watches

  • @Woupy111 I know nothing about them actually. I know vintage models can be very expensive. I'm into Ball watches right now, and I'm always browsing other off brands that are making a quality product for less money than the mainstream. That said, I still want a Rolex Submariner.

  • @turbo311 do you think that the oakley watches are good? because I am considering a oakley holeshot watch.

  • @Woupy111 I haven't looked at Oakley prices, but I'd never pay more than $500 for a quartz watch with certain Breitlings being an exception. You can get a tough-as-nails Seiko automatic diver for less than $300, or if you're spending $1000 or more I'd look at a Ball. If you want a super tough watch that's automatic look for a preowned Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon. All Ball's have tritium indicators that glow constantly no light needed, like Luminox but much nicer.

  • Great honest review.

  • i couldn't agree with you more, and both are good choices. it's good you aren't cheesing out to the typical LA scene.

  • Great review! I just got a SMP and it is a great watch.

  • it's not junk

  • As professional diving go's you may be going 100 m but usually that is the very deepest.

  • Hey, thx for the video. What is the model nr on the seamaster pro?

  • sold the breitling yet? lol

  • THEY USE OMEGA TECHNIQUE TO MESSURE RACE TMES AT THE OLYMPICS!!!! THAT MUST MEAN SOMETHING

  • @dmxlaci Not really, they use digital timing so its nothing really to do with auto watches like these appart from the brand name.

  • wht is price? do u still have it.

  • Like the knowledge friend, you know your stuff. i'm looking to buy a seamaster 300m auto chrono, just interested what you said about the chrono part. I've not heard of any problems with these which you said there was. i prefer the look of the chrono but you've put a bit of doubt in my mind.please explain.......

  • All i can think of when i see this video is Rolex Submariner.

  • Watches to men are like purses for women.

  • @mba2ceo very well said..

  • @mba2ceo totally agree. well said.

  • @mba2ceo well put, it's one of few pieces of jewelry that we can appreciate let alone, keep for a lifetime and more, unlike a purse. i love my seamaster professional. and i'll be buying my breitling superocean gmt soon!

  • very good review only person on youtube who says the release valve is a stupid feature which it is. i do feel these watches are overpriced. i havea hamilton khaki

automatic which i purchased for £360 in the uk. its a beautiful watch with a 25 jewell

swiss movement and keeps good time.

  • Very nice review! The only thing: you said that Omega seamaster doesn't have AR whereas Breitling does, but seamaster actually has AR but it's on inner side of sapphire.

  • Well presented .. viewer friendly in a good sense.

  • @metsot Thanks. I tried to be as truthful as I could.

  • Nice... I would like to get a decent swiss-made watch in the future. I tend to have similar tastes - no gaudy looking "bling" watches. No chronographs and timers. I'm not timing horse races. I just want a nice, high quality watch. Even if I could afford a Rolex, I probably wouldn't get one because people will always wonder if it's a fake, or real. Your comments on the quartz movement are interesting. I didn't know that it's the most accurate movement. I may as well just get a Seiko...

  • @mscmatt I have a Seiko quartz its great, they make decent automatics too. Depends on whats important to you, looks or accuracy. Side by side any Swiss watch is much much nicer.

  • @mscmatt Seiko makes good watches. A lot of their diver watches would be mistaken for either of the watches shown in this video by the lay person. And that's for a third or a quarter of the price.

  • Nice watches. I have an Omega myself and love it. There is one thing I would like to say and I am not sure if someone said something already or not; Omega was founded in 1848. It is actually an older company than Breitling. You did not say Breitling was the oldest nor that Breitling was older than Omega; but you sort of gave that implication. I just wanted to let you know as an FYI though. Good video anyway.

  • this video is sick i loved it, I like how you talked about actual facts i didnt know thanks!

  • @15eman You're welcome. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Depending on the price I'd consider the taking the Breitling off your hands. That is, if you haven't sold it.

  • @nicholasperry56 I've sold both. I should update this vid with a edit.

  • @turbo311 If you don't mind me asking and if it's not to personal, why did you sell them?

  • @alexneszmer needed cash

  • @turbo311 Sorry to hear that I guess. Thanks for the video.

  • I'm thinking about selling my Breitling Steelfish XP (almost the same as your Superocean) for an Omega PO 42mm. But it's a tough choice. Got the quartz version Seamaster as my everyday wearer, and love it. Thanks for the juxta on those two watches!

  • Very well wording and great explanations!

  • Nice video !

I have the older Bond automatic (the 2531.80), and I also have a Planet Ocean as well.

For the money, Omega simply cannot be beat :)

  • I have the superocean...it's bling. :P

  • Great watches. Omega Co-axial is my absolute favorite. Your conversation is easy to understand and you presented it well. My only criticism is the camera which is unable to close focus or macro zoom.

  • @Nightwatchman247365 Thanks for the compliment. But I know my camera sucks.

  • Is the omega a full size or mid size?

  • @davelloyd89 full size

  • My watch is worth 8 euro's :)

  • can u tell me what co axel really means ?

  • @UltraViolence14 just look at the video on Omega's site or search for it on here. It's basically a two contact point escapement instead of one.

  • @turbo311 i was just being stupid i know the co axial because ive worked on them and i dont think the co axial really makes a diferance to the escapements accuracy

  • @UltraViolence14 oh I see. If you've worked on them you should know it's not intended for accuracy but longevity. From what I've heard it basically doubles the service interval from every 5 years to every 10, less wear from half the friction.

  • @turbo311 yes thats true but they take a good 30-40 mins to oil and if not oiled correctly youl need to service the co axial more regularly dont get me wrong tho Omegas are awesome watches and own a speed master my self

  • Why apologies for owning a piece of art that's so well made it will easily outlast you!

  • james bond wears black dial seamaster,

  • @damthatriver09 Depends on which movie and when. In every Pierce Brosnan 007 he wears the blue one. When it's Daniel Craig, he starts out with a Planet Ocean then switches to the Seamaster and I can't remember if it's blue or black.

  • @turbo311 James Bond wears a BLUE Omega

BUT in Casino Royal & CoS he wears a BLACK Omega

  • @Puqpetmaster I guess that's the case, didn't notice. I do want the black dial one just bc the markers glow blue not yellow, sexy.

  • @damthatriver09 Good point. I was referring to the latest 007. You sir, have very good taste. Goodluck

  • I know this is old, but do you still have the Seamaster?

  • The Superocean looks lovely.

  • are you still intreested in selling the Breightling?

  • @BadEric76 I no longer have it

  • You can have very much the same as a Submariner thing going for you if you buy a Seapro SX from the V Channel, trust me.

  • @schmutzgreiffer I don't like replicas no matter how accurate they are. I like authenticity. Not gonna get it anytime soon. Going to have to wait a few years to find the new Sub on the used market.

  • @turbo311 Seapro walks like a duck, quacks like a duck but doesn't have Rolex written on the dial. I know what you mean though.

  • Helium valve is, in most instances overengineering or blatant bullshit.

    I loved your vid!

  • @schmutzgreiffer yeah true. I get annoyed with all these people who think they need it or have actually used it. There's a reason the Rolex Submariner still doesn't have one. And I know everyone thinks Rolex is snobbery and typical, but I like the Sub, especially the new one!

  • @andyyyy91 it's gone

  • The does one finalize thing that coaxial is 2500 or 8500?

  • @32youlube 2500

  • @32youlube 8500 is the "in-house" movement that's is much more expensive and not available in the Seamaster Professional.

  • Of that year is your omega?

  • @32youlube you've posted the same question 3 times now. It's a 2007 I think.

  • Comment removed

  • Of that year is your omega?

  • @TeabagTore go for it it's actually less expensive

  • Beautiful watches you have! I have the Omega Seamaster too but in black and quartz. I just love it. But I really want a Breitling!

  • The Omega is held in higher esteem by the WIS crowd.

  • @chronodiver300 Yeah I know but that's what makes the Breitling cool its the underdog, one of many, I miss it a lot. I usually hate bling, but I miss that tasteful full polish case and bracelet.

  • Can you tell me what the model number of that SO is? That design is now discontinued and I'd love to be able to find a NOS one. Thanks!

  • @kcmo208 I don't know the model number I'm pretty sure its the 2008 model year, last before they changed it. Most of the changes I can see are just the hands and face. I'd be happy with either. I miss mine now that it's gone.

  • @turbo311 I didn't realize there's another new one! It's hot I want it!

  • i used my helium-escape value after swimming in a pool

  • @bofeds haha really? why?

  • Wow that omega is cool! have you ever dived with it?

  • @BrainSalad212 No I haven't unfortunately, I haven't had an opportunity to go diving since I left Florida many years ago.

  • @turbo311 try to.

  • Hehe I use the $50 Seiko military

  • nice review. i liked it

  • Hi, I was interested in the Breitling Superocean you mentioned you might sell, and I would like to buy it off of you.

  • @marysafaeipour It's no longer available, but thanks for the interest.

  • hi,man, in this video 1:25 i heard a sound which is probably from falcon,is it right?

  • @goshawk2009 maybe but theres usually a bunch of other birds around that make noises. Hawks don't ever hang around that close.

  • Again, nice review!

This is the second time I watched this review. It's funny, you and I both have the same taste about watches. These two are the ones I've been most interested in the last years and I also don't like chronographs.

This week I'm picking up a brand new Co-Axial Seamaster with the black dial. Nice detail: It has anti-reflective coating on the inside.

  • i use the helium release valve of my omega seamaster all the time when i dive at 100m

  • @airborne101st45 what's down that deep that you're diving for? And explain to me how if you're at 100m and your watch is submerged in water with you, that helium or any gas is penetrating the crystal....?

  • @turbo311 i study ocean life at big depths. the helium forms when decompressing.

  • @airborne101st45 What type of underwater environments are you looking at? Compressed helium is not present in a watch case until it penetrates the edges of the crystal in a compressed air environment like a dive bell. It then needs to be vented when decompressing in a hyperbaric chamber. Water pressure cannot dissolve gases into the watch, but will only compress whatever gas is present when submerged, which doesn't need to be vented when decompressed because the volume remains constant.

  • @turbo311 yeah, what he said.

  • yeah dats a good option. ur watch seems to be in very gud condition. i can get it if u r willing to sell it.. can u tell me details abat it..i mean cards, box etc etc.. and how much u want for it?? thanx :))

  • awesome review turbo311..i really like it.

one thing to ask?? i want to get a seamster pro 300m in blue.. u said it retails around 3000 usd..so do u get any discount on it ?? i mean how much discount should i expect if i buy it from a retailer??

  • I don't know but yes I'm sure you could get a discount. I financed mine same as cash through Tourneau so I had to pay retail price. I'll sell you mine if you want.

  • Ok, too bad, but it still would be great if you could make some more reviews :)

  • Btw.

How much do you want for your Breitling ?

  • I traded it for an Emerson Custom CQC-7

  • But can you make some more watch reviews ??

  • Maybe... only have a couple others

  • Hey Turbo311 !!

I really love your review. Your really good at it. We get and lot of information, and we really get to the watches. i would really like if you could make some more reviews of some of your other watches. That would be REALLY great !!!!

    AWESOME VIDEO !!!!!!! :D <3

  • Thanks! I've been getting some nasty posts on here about it. I know I made some erroneous statements and I should edit or redo the vid, but I'm too lazy. I just delete the jerks.

  • He wears my watch now. Omega seamaster co-axial chronometer professional. Cool watch. Love it dearly.Certified for 600m/2000Ft wich is ridiculous for anybody, but an interesting peice of knowledge.

  • You have one too? Mine is 300m/1000ft.

  • @turbo311 Yes my dad had it for about a year because he's inlove with the movies and gave it to me and ended up getting a rolex... maybe I will get that one too. :) nice watches

  • hey here's a question: why does the second hand keep moving? I mean the watches ones I know always stop and then go and stop again...

  • Quartz (battery powered) watches do the stop and go. These a mechanical, spring driven, so it's a continuous release of motion.

  • gotcha. Sorry about that.

  • I was correcting you. I thought you said in the movt in the Seamaster is the NEWER co-axial movt. You may not have been talking about the Cal 8500. Sorry if I made a mistake.

  • I didn't mean newer of the coxail movements, I meant new coaxial period, the old movement being not coaxial.

  • Specifications

    Caliber:8500

    Base Movement:Manufacture Movement

    Power Reserve:60 Hours

    Jewels:39 Jewels

Description:Co-Axial Escapement, Free sprung balance - 2 barrels mounted in series. In-House Manufacture Movement.

  • You are wrong my friend. The Co-Axial movt is not a modified ETA 2892 A2. First off, the Breitling uses a modded 2824-2 which is a much lower end movt than the one that Omega used when it WAS using the ETA 2892 A2. ETA claims the 2892 A2 is by far the best movt they have ever produced. Yes,Omega modded the ETA movt but it is so modded that it can surely be called an in-family movt rather than in-house. Now, the cal. 8500 co-axe is an ih-house movt, it is not a rebadged ETA movt.

  • Who are you correcting? I never claimed what movement it is. Thanks for the info though.

  • nice. i've got the "saphire sandwich" omega speedmaster professional. great watch. up next is the seamaster planet ocean chronograph. saving the pennies as i type.

  • turbo311 , you seem to know what your talking about , what do you think about a raymond weil sports watch?

  • thanks. Raymond Weil is like a Lexus. Regular people think they're the tits, but the enthusiasts know it's no BMW. I'd spend extra for a true Swiss automatic, not quartz.

  • hey, today i've bought the seamaster GMT version! Love it! Your Review helped me to make my final decision.

  • not my way to lie.

  • not the first time see such comments about the caliber 8500

  • is better than mine.this calibe is incredible.

  • 8500 performance updateA few people asked me to report back in a few months after breaking the watch in. So I have two quick updates:

    (1) This watch keeps PERFECT time, over a long period of time. I started wearing it again after a brief hiatus two weeks ago. It has neither gained nor lost a single second since then. The 8500 movement appears to be more accurate than quartz.

    (2) My "collection," such as it is, contains two very popular, more expensive, superficially more prestigious models

  • i have AQUA TERRA CALIBRE 8500 HE LOST 1 SECOND IN 1 WEEK.SCUZE MY ENGLISH

  • That's impressive. Mine will gain about a second per day which is COSC certified. I don't see how yours could be that much more accurate.

  • great review

  • with calibre 8500 omega is the best manufacture.rolex are better than fakes watches

  • I think Rolex deserves better than that, even though they are overpriced. What makes you say the 8500 is so goo?

  • nice review! and i even learned some interesting things about diving :)

  • i,ve had my Omega seamaster for 9 years, wear it every day for work, sports diving,it never let me down, keeps good time, and still looks great..i,ve owned other high spec watches in the past and all have let me down apart from the Seamaster..best watch ever for me.

  • Awesome review mate. I wish someone could do one on the Breitling B01

  • Thanks Turbo. Great Review. Very informative. You are very knowledgeable. Both watches look very nice. It was cool hearing about them.

  • Wat do you do. Those are two expensive watches and i can imagine wat ur other ones are

  • I only have the two. Actually traded the Breitling for a custom Emerson knife (yes they're worth that much).

  • oh really? I just picked up my first emerson... a mini cqc7. kinda too small. Wat kinda emerson?

  • It's a 2002 Specwar CQC-7. Looks very different from the production model. I'm pretty sure it's in my latest video but I could be mistaken.

  • nice review turbo

  • super ocean steelfish im buying !!!

  • only fags wear breitling!

  • correction cheltcanary, fag with limited vocabulary.

  • Correction shiney87, you're an idiot.

  • Am I? I'm sure that youtube is the closest you will ever be to a watch that isn't available at a local target or walmart. Enjoy your collection of blue light specials and feel free to continue to make the most of youtube, which in your case is broadcasting yourself as a moron.

  • I'm sorry, we dont have walmart here in this country. Try again.

  • Walmarts are everywhere, so that must mean that you live in a 3rd world country. Enjoy telling time by shadows the sun casts on rocks.

  • Neeh. I live in Norway, but I guess you are an american and by definition you cannot know where Norway is. You can wiki the country btw.

  • By what definition?1.) I could careless where you are from. 2.) From reading your comments, I notice you just try to argue, you have no valid standpoints which brings me back to my original point I made to you, that you are an arrogant moron. 3.) Its not that Americans do not know where Norway is, it is just that Norway is of little significance to a country like America. Unless you have something other than try again for any of the 3 reasons I listed that you should just shut up, don't comment.

  • USA is not exactly one of the smartest countries in the world. But however I am not trying to argue you, I just find it suprising how senseless you are by the remark that "fag with limited vocabulary".

I am not an arrogant moron, I just find people like you to be stupid, and I am sure I'm not the only one.

I wont even go into the whole "Norway is of little significance to the mighty and powerful US of the A" thing but I am glad that you chose the right president this time.

  • Senseless? you who jumps into a conversation without reading the entire dialogue. If you go back, notice that I wasn't the one who called him a fag. I added that he has limited vocabulary for making the notion that "only fags where omega". Secondly, Americans may not be the smartest, but it is your country spending 1.2 billion on a new satellite when you have close to a million infected by swine flu. Oh yea, and for handing out 60 more million for our "right president" to receive the Nobel.

  • yo dude i am thinking of giving myself a "university" present (im in grade 12 right now) but when i graduate im thinking of getting a breitling seawolf do you have any experiences or thoughts on the watch? BTW im going to Michigan university................

  • No experience with that one. Go to a store that has a good selection and spend some time looking at them and decide what you can afford and what you like the most. You may end up liking the Navitimer more in person than the Seawolf or the Seawolf will be confirmed your favorite. Best of luck with school.

  • Omega>rolex

  • @eyutyoiip Rolex>omega

  • I mean I don't know why people make a big deal out of expensive watches. They hold their value really well, and, compared to some womens jewlery which can also cost 1,000s and have only short term asthetic value, the watch will always hold value

  • I have the Omega and I can safely say it will be the last watch I will ever need to buy, hence the investment.

  • SuperLuminova is proven to be more luminous than Tritium. Luminova will give you that sorta blue glow in the beginning. Only tritium lasts a lot longer but is not as bright, just go to their website RC tritec

  • wearing a rolex just tells the world that you sell drugs.

  • LOL

  • Sorry, one more thing. Tritium hands were available on watches decades ago. Rolex used it too. The tritium was PAINTED on, and while really bright for long periods of time, a 12.3 yr half life, meant poor longevity. It was replaced with Luminova, then Super Luminova. While not as bright, or long lasting at night, can still recharge for many years. Tritium TUBES are returning in Ball watches and are very bright, and colorful. In tubes they stay bright longer. Sorry for being longwinded.

  • I have the same SuperOcean, sans the Pro II bracelet. Absolutely love it. Just order the Pro II bracelet to dress it up a bit. It came with the rubber strap with is comfy too. Great watch looks good on leather, rubber, and metal. I am looking to get a Seamaster, but the non-Bond Pro (2254.50). Didn't mention the screw pins on the Breitling bracelet, with I thing are a bit of a step up from pins. Just My $.02. Thanks.

  • The Omega Does have an anti reflective coating, its just on the underside of the crystal. The Brietling has it on both sides.

  • thats what I meant to say

  • Ahh, no worries mate. My bad.

Great review btw, Im hoping to get a similar Seamaster as a 21st birthday present for myself.

  • cool review, thanks man.

  • I like the Seamaster more and the hands are particularly beautiful. Lol, Omega have released the Ploprof Seamaster which goes to 4000 feet!! It's got the 8500 inhouse movement and is stunning in its own way

You say that you are a sensible guy, and for whatever reason, I believe you. That's why I'm going to tell you that, as regards Rolex, familiarity will breed contempt. You have been warned

  • The Omega co axail is a fantastic timepiece. It feels amazing on the wrist, perfectly weighted, the bracelet in itself is a work of art - just so comfortable.

I have the verison with the black face. I love it because it's descreet - it does not try too hard like a Breitling, it does not have the pretention of a Rolex and it is everything a Tag would like to be.

  • well said i love my seamaster.I have the blue face older version (pre co ax) movement and there is no other watch i would love more it is simply magical

  • yep omega all teh way, omega sea master is one of the most beautiful watches ever made not even the rolex tag heuer or breitling, (in this category of watch) are better in my opinion

  • haha top gear image by ur name nice

  • You cannot possibly compare the Breitling and Omega to a cheap quartz watch. Quartz's may be more accurate, but that ultimately depends on what quality movement the watch is running on. For example an automatic Seiko 7S26 movement has a lag of 7 minutes every month, but a watch with an ETA 2824/2 is within seconds.

  • OMEGA all the way..

  • The Seamaster is, in my opinion, THE best looking watch ever made. It just has that "look" that words can't describe. It is a work of art!!!!!
