I'm not a fan of Serena and never was but she IS absolute goat, no matter what others say, imo she is better than Graf (though I like her more) just because u had so many more talents/greats in this era (like Venus, Justine, Kim, Lindsay, Maria etc.) when on she is just unbeatable. (btw she looks freakin hot(!!) in this outfit, she should start wearing this again on her comeback)

I loved the fact that when the Williams Sisters dominated back then they were a little arrogant. We were cocky as fans too because not only did WE know they were the shit, THEY KNEW IT TOO. The WTA feared them, the were confident with their game and when they stepped on the court THEY MEANT BUSINESS! This was top notch tennis from head to toe, I've NEVER seen a woman display the level of athleticism on a court than Venus and Serena from the 2000-2002 period. They are the ones who changed tennis.

@malcomino yeah Serena would have destroyed Navratilova and Graf when she couldnt even destroy Capriati and Henin in her prime, LOL! Capriati is 7-10 lifetime vs Serena, beat her 4 times in slams from 2001-2004, and had only 1 straight set loss to Capriati in a flock of matches. Henin is 6-8 vs Serena and beat Serena 3 times at her peak in 2002-2003.

She had to contend with Davenport, Venus, Hingis, the belgians, Capriati, Seles all former number ones. Who Graf had? Sanchez Vicario? lol

By that point Hingis was not even playing and soon to retire, Davenport was the whole year injured and had won her last slam 2 years ago, Henin and Clijsters were not close to their prime levels yet and losing early rounds most slams, Seles was way past it, and Crapriati is a joke.

Graf played Navratilova, Evert, Seles, Sanchez Vicario, Hingis, Davenport, Venus, Capriati all to win her slams too.

@grafgirl27 Graf is clearly THE BEST, i adored her when she played but you can't deny Serena is one of all the all-time greats despite her sporadic dominance. So in what way is it embarrasing to put her in the same breath as them? personnally i think she's ranked above King and Seles and Court (who won 11 australian opens when we know the competition back then didn't exist) but that's just me speaking

BTW Serena won only three slams from 2004-2008 when Henin was on top. And under Serena's watch as the top player clowns like Wozniacki, Safina, Ivanovic, and Jankovic all reached #1. What an embarassment to even compare her to the games true greats like Navratilova, Graf, Evert, Court, King, prime Seles, and others.

i don't know why you're being defensive, nobody is saying Serena is the best all-time but you know i told the truth. And you know Serena had to battle with depression and the murder of her sister which led to her to be ranked 140 in the world at some point. It wasn't like the game passed her by.
