I use this weapon when i was in the army,standard version comes without bipod and it is quite grossly gun in my opinion,to heavy and awkward for use-with nightvision it weight 7kg,and range of 800m is a bit overrated,but you can hit a target up to 1000m.if you are a good shooter,but all in all not bad weapon if you have multiply tagerts.

@1jilu Zaitsev is a WW2 sniper, SVD and Zastava are post-ww2 guns. I think 800m at man is pretty good accuracy, besides it's a marksmans weapons, not really snipers.

@ThaddeusMcSpalding well, if you live in the u.s. you'll know that any foreign import rifle has to have @ least 7 u.s. made parts, so a lot of the m76's for sale sometimes have american made recievers & barrels...

You din't take off the factory oil from the rifle moving parts thats the reason for so much smoke. Always remove the factory oil before schooding a brand new rifle. This way you will increase accuracy and won't get jamed.

@alexpyta No kidding. Seriously did you have ever shoot or clean a gun? the smoke came from the ballistol I used to leave on purpose to avoid painfull cleaning on the gas tube and piston after use of corrosive and dirty ammo.

@serbianhero I use a black powder rifle since a long time but our state law dont allow individuals to own other guns. I can only shoot rifles like the Zastava or other AK-type guns on shooting ranges but Im not allowed to clean them after fireing. So as you guess Ive never used ballistol :) But I never saw a non-black-powder gun smoke so much:D at least the shootig range personel never used ballistol in the guns Ive fired.

@alexpyta Hehe no offence man, I was just tired about all those counter-strike kids that frequently troll the gun videos... ;) The smoke came part from the ballistol I used to leave on every part after cleaning e(xcept barrel of course), especially the piston and gas system, and from those old yugo cartridges from the 50's... Try that it in your Black powder rifle, for removing the fooling and dirt from the barrel, spray a good dose in when still hot, youll' be impressed!

@Dsparil666 yes, I clean the gas tube, regulation valve and all the rifle with that after every sceance with great results. No need of any other oil or toxic solvent...

Why can't this be something more than an oversized AK-47 (in appearance).

If it weren't for it's simple wooden stock, and AK forward handgrip, I might buy this over the Romak III because it's Serbian, but... well... it's just an unattractive weapon. =(

sto znaci do 1000 metara sigurno mozete likvidirati zeljenu metu hitcem u grudi, puska je prilicno jaka na 300-600 metara moze probiti celik debeo 15 mm pod uslovom da je udarac pod uglom od 90 stepeni sto znaci da mozete sa njom likvidirati osoblje lako oklopnih vozila kao sto bvp ili brdm. po meni jedina i jako velika mana je sklonost puske koroziji ali i to se moze spreciti redovnim ciscenjem puske, licno bih vam preporucio mobile1 ulje za ciscenje oruzja iz mog iskustva pokazalo se najbolje

puska nema glavljenja zatvaraca to se desava jedino kad se ispucaju svi metkovi, sa namerom kada se stavi ponovo pun okvir da automatski uvuce metak u cev, ja za 1169 metkova koliko sam ispalio sa njom nisam imao ni jednu blokadu to je mozda neko rekao ko je imao neku drndavu istrosenu pusku(ovo je ipak kalasnjikov patent pozajmice barutnih gasova) puska je veoma precizna ja nisam imao problema da na 600 metara saspem 5 metaka u metu od 10 cm, nastavak u sledecem komentaru

Oko ove puske mogu vam pomoci jer sam imo iskustvo sa njom duzio sam novu m76 u vojsci pod vesom snajperista u oklopno mehanizovanoj pesadiji, ovo je polu automatska puska 7,9 calibra namenjena iskljucivo za ljudske mete, u okvir staje 10 metaka, optika je uglavnom zrakova 4x zoom, efektivna je sa zrakovom optikom do 1000 metara ili sa boljom optikom do 1200 metara, ili sa nocnom optikom do 600 metara, u sledecem komentaru nastavak

Definitely jealous. I love the 7.92x57 caliber, a good intermediate between .30-06 and 7.62 NATO. The reason I like this is because it is affordable (for a semi-automatic in 8mm), durable (kalashnikov pattern), and magazine-fed.

By the way, try the 1970's Romanian surplus ammo. The Yugo has some issues with not firing and being corrosive, but the Romanian stuff is accurate, not nearly as corrosive (though it'll leave copper deposits), and much more reliable - I've never had a dud.

@zchris87v I've to test the romanian stuff a bit more, it seems to group a little better. By the way the steel cases are hitting the ejector so hard that a small dent appearson it! Yugos where definitely some deluxe warriors contrary to the others Warsaw pact armies, since their ammo production is almost only brass cased and copper jacketed... and their guns made after that: no chromed bores and tender ejectors :o)

They ARE beautiful,but way over priced.1,500 bucks+ for one when you can get a Mauser K98 for 300-350 bucks and takes the same round and is more accurate,over all its is a great rifle.

In the civilian world, nobody is a sniper, so nobody uses a "sniper rifle." Snipers shoot people. When civilians shoot people, we call them murderers. M76 isn't even as accurate as other semi-automatic, scoped rifles...but it *is* a lot cooler. Get it?

Standard 50's yugo surplus... until now, I've just tried these and 70's Romanian surplus... nothing extraordinary.

M75 yugo sniper ammo is difficult to obtain here in belgium...
