I didn't tell you, I had a white one of these briefly in early 2010. The problem for me was that it filled the cup too much as had no dispense regulator! I returned it to Argos almost immediately. That one farted too by the way! Lol. I recently purchased a black morphy richards accents one cup in November 2011, it's better for me! My mate has still got his Breville hot cup in black like this one and is happy with it!
I've read these leak. I have a russell hobbs one cup and that leaks also. So these kettles are only good for a couple of months and then they blasted leak. I think I'll have to go back to a bog standard kettle and just throw in one mug of water in.
I have had the latest (white) one for about 6 months with no problems. Release button working fine. The first two I returned to Argos for replacement. I would suggest getting the 3 year warranty if you get one.
yes it boils it. I like tea with boiling water and I can't tell the difference with this or a regular kettle.
BTW, I now have a replacement from Argos as the water pop open failed to release. Would recommend anyone buying pays the extra £10 for the 3 year guarantee at Argos.
a bit noisy though.. getting mine today. i need it to allow space for milk... :D well, just have to use a mug then :) do you know how much water it dispenses approx? what, like 200 ml or something??
It is quite noisy but everyone in my house loves it. I think about 200ml of water is right. I am going to try and get a replacement to mine as the button which releases for the water chamber doesn't work. Can still manually lift it up, but still!

My mate has got one of these and with the loud noise it makes when it dispenses the water I christened it "The Farting Kettle!" lol.

Do you find this one gets the water really hot? Its just the Tefal one is just hot, and really i like a boiling cup of tea or coffee?
THanks

The Tefal One Cup makes hot water, whereas the Breville Hot Cup BOILS the water, meaning you can add milk and sugar and still have a hot drink!
