So, in the end, we learn that F-M allowed their patent to lapse, probably because the product never really helped them promote loans for energy-efficient homes. We don't know when he did his "tinkering" and the plug cover could help keep your family member plugging in something and overlaoding the curcuit of which you computer might back plugged into. It doesn't even have to be in the same room and s surge protector wouldn't stop it from happening if it's not plugged into the same socket that caused the overlaod.

I like GB, but this one is a little far off base. First, if these were in my home, it's too easy to buy a security tool bit set on ebay for like $5. Easy to remove. Second, i see real use for them to lock up plugs installed in public areas (airports, malls, etc.) and keep people from using the outlets. Also they would be good in homes on the market (if the power company doesn't turn off the power) that attract squatters. In any case, i wish i thought of it and had the patent.

I worked at a company that provides services, equipment, hardware, and software for North America's 9-1-1 and Emergency Response organizations. As employees, we were encouraged to come up with inventions and things that might be patented, so the activity isn't as unusual as one might think. However, we stuck to our industry expertise. Nobody was thinking about controlling electrical outlets. Wouldn't it be scary however if someone came up with a way to redistribute wealth via 9-1-1 systems?

Actually, Beck is a little late to the party, but he has been covering a lot of ground. If you just tune in and see bits and pieces, and don't know the whole picture, it's easy to see why it would seem far out. Unfortunately, it's real. After you have seen thousands of documents that lead to the same conclusion, you start to see that Beck isn't far off the mark. First you need enough info to know that Global Warming is a giant fraud. Then come here for "Crime Incorporated"

Beck forgot to tell his viewers that Fannie Mae no longer holds the patent. They declined to file for its renewal in 2007, meaning that it's in the public domain - you or I could use it. This is explained in a letter from Fannie Mae that can be found most easily as a link from Media Matters for America.

Apart from that, my views on Beck's state of mind are, admittedly, subjective. He just looks like one crazy fucker to me in a way that O'Reilly or Hannity or whoever never did.

I don't think that they want to turn off peoples electricity by the way, but I do believe that they will want to limit the amount that you use. They have developed better ways to do this than the outlet cover.
