you think that those korg's products are COOLER than tenori on? o.O wtf! o.O check out "tenori on save my night" video (youtube ID = uv49Y_H9H6I).. i can assure you cannot make a song like that with them in realtime. because i own them both. kaossillator has 8 beats loop, TO 16, kaossillator is not expendable, TO has an SD card, kaossillator has layers but no control on them, TO has 16 indipendent layers. KP3 has max 4 samples at time, TO a load. You can't compare TO with KP3/KS
The Kaossilator isn't crap. I own one and i think they are brilliant. They fun, quick to use and understand. I think they are more for the "On the go" songs were are the Tenori-On is more for the "Actual Song" songs. They are really completely different tools.
They are VERY expensive. The K.N. Music Store was selling them for an obscene 120,000 yen and the Sato Music Shop in Shibuya carried them for 135,000 yen!!!!!!
it seemed like a neat new tool for modern music. but then as i watch more of these videos, i realize that its just like a keyboard. most keyboards already have the capacity to do these metronomical features.
with importable samples and score mode with games I can see it being sweet but realistically , its for showing off your weird toy , or getting your fix of 8 bit nintendo BGM
Monome is kinda like what you're talking about. It's not much cheaper though. For their 16x16 matrix, it's $1400 and it's not a stand alone operator like the Tenori-On is. It has to be hooked to a computer with various programs--it's more technical to use but has more possibilities.
i agree it is very expensive, but you should really educate yourself about its unique features before posting ignorant comments. but such is the way of the internet.
i don't think this is nearly as cool as Korg's Kaossilator or Kaoss Pad

My mistake, I had the names mixed up. HOWEVER you can still buy it at the big music store at Kawasaki Station, in Kawasaki. It is on the 5th floor.
Pozland306 3 years ago

It actually looks fascinating. We'll surely see it soon in live performance. Look forward to that. The price will drop with time.

Sorry if i'm being ignorant but touldn't it be cheaper to hook up a touch screen to a pc and run a program and the it could change colours

Furby was japanese too? This looks damn cool though, no way I'd pay $1000 for it (is that USD?)
I would like to try it though

Thats only £500
I mean thats TOTALLY cheap lol for something soo complex.
00WhiteAces00 4 years ago
Still.. $1000
sethtastic89 4 years ago
Agreed. For $20 or $30, it would be a reasonably-priced toy. $1000 for this is laughable.

what on earth? a new MIDI controller?... that'd certainly be sweet for an art installation or something.
bobafruti 5 years ago
It's a sequencer the sequences itself, plus with blinky lights. Many capabilities.
