  • ahahahah that was funny

  • great blogs mate do you ever find in the winter you catch mid water on a long pop up ive been trying it with good success on the theary that colder water is more dence there for sinks so mid water could be a degree warmer what do you think?

  • results speak for themselves mate

seems to me thats good angling your doing

  • Hi mate, what was the hook link you mentioned you were using? Hope you don't mind me asking lol

  • i think it was 12lb fox ilusion

  • the old stringer what a great technique

  • aint thair any 20s or 30s in this lake bruce

  • I think it was a fixed and a re-match is in order, Mr Martin you have my paypal info :P

    Nice one m8,

  • I baited his margin too and i offered him my bait , what more could i do?:)

Anyway we were there again today six of us on the lake and i was the only one to get pickups again....

Mind you i lost the only one i actualy managed to hook within a few seconds..

    Bugger!

  • Take your 'old mans friend' with you.

    BRRRRRRR!!

  • oops!

  • Niice video .

  • Thx.

  • Nice one. Even commercials are hard in the winter. I fished one very recently and had a few on maggot, caster/waggler. Nobody else was catching.

  • Can be difficult but vermuyden is full of fish so blanking has not happened to me yet.

  • nicely done. i already thought about the unable to get it up joke before he did. lol

    great session mate.

  • yes, funny martin eh:)

  • By the way is that why you invented Carpagra, self medication? LOL:)

  • I still won:)

  • im quite big fan of the bolt rig, but have recently been suffering from what i think is fish sheding the hook from the weight of the lead, but have also designed a new rig setup. it sits as a bolt rig but as soon as the fish shkes its head acts as a running rig, if you want to know more, ill post a video for you. tried it out yesterday and out caught on a easy lake, had two 17lbs, which is allitle better than the usual stop of 3's nd 4's.

  • Imagine that when the carp moves into your swim looking for baits it's also looking for the rig and a bloody great big lead.

If i was a carp and I saw a big lead I would smile and carry on feeding!

Use the lake bottom in conjunction with your setup and presentation to induce the bolt effect.

Stick your rod under the water onto the bottom of the lake and give your line a good tug to bury it.

Often weed ect will snag the line helping the bolt effect.

  • bragging rights yours 4 now lol.

keep up the good work m8 and my new boilies worked (BUZZING)12lbs2 common spicey cheese flavour off the mark for 2009haha

  • Cheers mate and best of luck to you.
