When I bought Kimono My House and played it for my sister she said "they just get faster and faster!" cracked me up. I loved them then and still do now.
I have many musical interests - but Sparks are the King of "Eccentric" Rock. Much more brilliant than Queen or 10cc or anyone else you could compare them to.
THANX A MILLION for upping and sharing these cultural gems, dilloacami :
May 1974, my parents had the fresh 'Kimono My House' LP on vinyl :
I was 5 years old at that time, ..sticked to the tv-screen when they appeared (between Mud, Slade, Zappa, Roxy Music, Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Who & The Rolling Stones) and a true fan (of them all) eversince...
the Mael brothers are still kickin' : check for the FROM THE BASEMENT (dot TV) sessions.
I last saw this when I watched "In Concert" 35 years ago. This was my first exposure to Sparks, still amazing! Watch Part 2, too! Thank you so much...
Some of the audience reactions in this clip are priceless. Minds were blown, indeed.

That's Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Gos at minute 3:18, everyone. She was president of the L.A. chapter of the Sparks fanclub at the time of this show.

Some things just make you happy and it would take to long to explain why. This is one of those things. Great Post. Much appreciated!
