  • Not sure I completely agree with you on the age issue aside from the issue of a faster better reaction to medication. Ideally younger then you would be the best. ie anti androgen as puberty begins, and then beginning the correct hormones around 16.

The gay village is full of all ages. Many butch women also have, at times the issue of how others outside of the communities treat them.

Some older people actually are happier, and alot more stable in life and financially secure.

  • i would like to change my gender but i got a girlfriend that i love so much and i dont think she will accept it, so what u think should i do? and also i am afraid of going to the doctor ask about hormone and he loought to my face... i got no trans friend also...

  • You might be able to get hormones online in Japan. Join the TSDoItYourselfHormones yahoo group to get better informed... Once you have the hormones, find another doctor and ask him if he will prescribe, so you can do things "the safe way".

As for your girlfriend... If you think transition is needed for you to be truely happy, then you will have to make a choice. If she can't accept you for who you are though, she probably isn't the right one for you... You have to realize that.

  • hi there :) well obviously u'r very pretty and i don't mean just on the outside, even more important than that u'r very smart! :) thank u so much for ur videos on youtube :-*

  • THANKYOU! Thankyou for this candid video. More people need to hear what you have to say, I really wish I could have gotten this advice back when I was 13 or 14 years old, I wish more PARENTS would watch this video.

  • Very well thought through. When I started my transition I met two transwomen who sat me down and said to me - "are willing to sacrifice everything to do this". Three years later I have lost a lot but I am still happier - so far. You are so right about getting support. That is why I am forced to live in a big expensive city because I needed contact with other trans during this part of my transition

  • You're beautiful, and have wonderful eyes.

Not only that, but you have a lot of wisdom. Good luck on the rest of your transition, and best wishes. I, too, am pursuing a physical transition, but from female to male, so we are going in opposite directions. It has been a long time since you posted this video, but it's the first I've seen, and I wanted to wish you well.

  • You must have someone amazing in your life ...I can't imagine you developed into the person you appear to be on your own. I hope you will continue to help others going through transition..you have a gift.

  • You're so precious and beautiful!!

  • Interesting insight into youth transition. The issues facing us 'late transitioners' are indeed different, not least being that most of us are 'out' and that can be a very hard life. One advantage of transitioning late is that we have proved beyond any doubt that we cannot be happy as males. Your 'comparative' approach to transition therefore seems odd, but then allowing yourself to explore is good provided you are certain before taking any irreversible steps.

I wish you luck and happiness :)

  • It is so great that you are courageous enough to share your journey of transition to the world. Thank you for educating us, even though it's painful. I think that is an important step in helping us understand.

  • I have been living as a female and taken HRT for over 30 years. Back in my days it was very difficult and extremely dangerous living as a woman, transsexual and a woman of color. The public don't except me and to make matter worst the transsexual community didn't either (Go figure). I was in a few hate crime problems and I almost went to prison just because I protected myself. There were no internet at the time so information was very difficult find. The kids now adays are so lucky.

  • Things got better, that doesn't mean they can't be improved alot more.

  • I think that you sre so pretty and I hope that everything gets better for you.

  • You. Are. Beautiful.

I wish only the best for you in the future.

  • Greatly inspiring words. Hun, you hit on every word what I have & am going through. Stay strong but if you ever, EVER, need to talk do not hesitate to message me.

  • ^-^ You're so pretty!

  • "That which does not kill me makes me stronger" Friedrich Nietsche. You're looking better all the time! Hugs!! Girliegirlie17

  • you are an absolute inspiration. Keep on keeping on. I wish you happiness and success.

  • You are amazing. I don't have the courage to do what you did. Great advice, love watching your video. You go girL!

  • There was a lot of useful information in what you said. HOWEVER for someone who is doing something they feel is important and good, you seem awfully sad.

I'm a 51 year-old MtF and, I must say, that many younger trans folk seem to express a great deal more angst about their choice then older ones do.

  • Well I guess the older people might have more certainty about their choices, especially at the beggining. As far as I'm concerned, I'm going through alot of stressful things, and I'm not just talking about transition. But anyways, I'm not really a sad person :P

  • Im as far as i know hetero but find your videos captivating. Your so well spoken.

  • Thank you for sharing this video! You are obviuosly a very strong person and I'm sure your transition will be a success! Even from the video when I first glanced at you I thought you were a woman. Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome! I would just add that after one finally starts HRT the level of personal "pressure" drops tremendously. This can often result in a false sense of "Do I really need to go through with this?". I've seen many who have fought off transitioning only to end up doing it when they're older. Trans issues are an evolving medical/social event but sadly still include many negative social impacts that often keep one from transitioning. Great vid with lots of wisdom!

  • Hey, and these videos from this girl are so authentic and motivating. She´s much more a girl than so many genetic girl out there.
